I'm giving this review 5 stars, because I think they deliver a strong message, they are able to be no-nonsense and entertaining at the same time. My only issue is not something that makes these guys lose a star, but it is something personal. I have issues with vertigo and stuff, so the service can become overwhelming. However, I discovered that sitting instead of standing never gets me the stink-eye, and nobody has thrown a shoe at me, thus far; so, WINNER!! All goofiness aside, I believe the church does amazing things, and both Casey and his wife are groovy! One thing I absolutely LOVED was the fact that Pastor Treat used good, old-fashioned paper for his sermon notes, and he had them with him as he preached. I'm not sure why, but seeing that made me so very happy! In conclusion, the church is bright and shiny, the pastor energetic and uplifting. But, more importantly, everyone was so welcoming and kind! Christian faith Center is not like your every Sunday religious church. It is more like "if you see something say something. Yet they don't go around bashing people. They focus on growing up people to be better at being a Christian or just a better human being. He has a family and needs to put food on the table. We all deserve a few perks. How many hours every week does it take to memorize sermons that uplift and educate. He has been in the ministry some 66 years and criticized at least that many times by people not by Jesus who sustained them through it all. If you want to look for faults, you will find them, even in diamonds They are human and can make bad choices but God.....we are all growing and learning, well, most of us. read more

One of the few churches left that is always true to God's word and isn't afraid of the controversial topics. People posting low ratings probably had their conscience prodded. I see posts claiming they don't talk about missions and only want money. What? They read scriptures about tithing briefly each week before taking offering. There is no pressure. And they are constantly talking about missions and where the money goes. Places like Union Gospel Mission and Global Christian Relief are major recipients of funds from Christian Faith giving. Additionally, I have a friend in rehab with a different church, and members of CF have volunteered and helped there as well. Jesus is alive and well in this house of God. read more

God spoke to my husband and called him to revisit the church of his youth. I was excited to be trying a new church out! I'm sad to say that I spent most of the service praying to Jesus, "where ARE you in this place??" I praise God for the discernment he gives to both my husband and I. We were both so confused, "why did God bring us here?" We both heard an answer from God separately. He said that this was an example of what NOT to preach. How NOT to do. That's neither here nor there, though. God is good regardless. But I will never visit this church again and it was so FALSE. Close enough to the truth to sound so sweet, but so FALSE. It is a feel-good Sunday morning sermon and all they want is your money. I didn't hear one testimony of their "missions". All I see is giant stage production and then, they ask for tithing money for a new soundboard!! I did not feel compelled to give to a church that clearly doesn't steward their money the way God would want it to be. It is so false. Please don't take new Christians here. Please don't go here. This church I would include in the category of prosperity gospel in that every service, and even when they hold " revival" events they are up on stage pounding it in the importance. They said it is throughout the Bible and Wendy actually made a statement that it is even in the book of revelation. No..... I used AI to tell me what books it is in and the scriptures on this are all Old Testament. Jesus used an old woman who gave everything she had, as an example of giving from the heart, and in the book of Acts there was a pooling of money and then everyone "gave in the community as there was need". This scenario is common sadly as the very first thing at every service is a push to get more funds for pastors that have nicer houses than the majority of congregation members. There is a pastor in Hawaii J D Farag who from the time they started their ministry and for decades now has NEVER asked for tithing. He has trusted the Lord to provide and they have a basket at the back where people contribute; and in trusting God there has always been enough. I think everyone who doesn't see that the Lord's return is soon based on what the Bible says still won't say anything to warn their members as then why would you need to put millions into new buildings / expansions/ beautification? No it isn't a message that will get shared. But the Lord will hold everyone accountable. When taking communion yesterday, they don't even know the scripture for communion and wing it on what they say. read more

I've been to CFC twice. Once in Federal Way and once in Everett. While I am not one to question the faith or motives of others, there were several things about this whole organization that turned me off. It's actually been a couple of years since both visits, but for some reason, last night it popped into my head to write this review, because the experiences have nagged me ever since. Both visits were for "men's" events. The first time I went, Pastor Casey rode onto the stage on a Harley. Having been a former Harley rider and knowing that most "bikers" aren't "bikers", I scoffed at this. My immediate thought was "I don't need a COOL pastor". Of course I didn't think it was that cool, but a lot of the men seemed to. To me, that wasn't cool. I had lost my home and my bike a few years before because of a combination of things. Everyone on a Harley isn't cool. Most of them are just dudes who want to be cool...and they wear tons of Harley advertising. Soon after he got off the bike, the encouragement to "give" began. Maybe his wife needed a Harley too, who knows. Towards the end of the event, their very own version of the Backstreet Boys took the stage and all of the men moved to the front of the stage while the five beautiful christian boys in all the latest "cute boy" fashions sang and danced for us as the words of praise (brainwashing) were played on a screen behind them. Then they asked us to give more. What REALLY got to me that day was when Pastor Casey pretty much told us, "it doesn't matter if you have no home or no job...you can still give...you will get back". Well, I had just come off of some really hard times, and through a lot of prayer PRIOR to going there, I was able to start bouncing back. But I can guarantee that he, in his adult life, has never experienced being down to his last $20 and wondering where he was going to live or work. I'm not easily offended, but I was that day. Like I said, I'm not questioning anyone's faith, or motives...I'm just saying that giving, to make the mega church more mega, seemed to be a very recurring theme both times I attended. It wasn't a humble place, it wasn't comfortable. It was a very nice and extreme place to worship, but I couldn't wait for it to be over. The second time I went, in the summer of 2009, I was having some irritation in my ear...a very nagging itch that a dermatologist couldn't diagnose. The friend that I attended with told me on the way home that "your itch is gone, it's healed, I prayed for you and it was healed while we were there". Well, it's nearly four years later now and my itch is still itching. In closing, I don't even recall the messages, I was so distracted by how "cool" it was. Well, I'm a cool dude...and I didn't think it was that cool. Give of yourself to others, give comfort, give love, give encouragement, give when you can, give what you can. I am not a big church goer myself but, I have been to many churches in my lifetime since my relatives have managed to drag me out of bed. I have met all kinds of people and I am pretty street smart. I was invited to this church by a friend of mine. We all sat down to listen to the gentleman who was to speak for us before youth group. This was strictly a sermon to the 13-17 age group. The pastor was speaking about a 13 year old girl who wanted to pray because she wanted a boyfriend. (Which is a normal desire for a 13 year old to want a boyfriend / girlfriend) The pastor started ranting about how she was horny and crazy. He started to make fun of her for the laughing crowd. She was not present but it is still rude for a grown man to do. Before we got up to leave he said for us all to donate by saying: "You kids always get what you want. You see that new phone or Ipod and you manage to get it. We need to get (I think around 250K) for our new worship center so I think all you kids can beat the adults at donating!" He the passed the collection plate. I would guess he is taking the money for himself. No church I have been to has ever asked money of me like that, ever. Usually they just pass the plate and whatever you give, or don't give is ok. read more

I was visiting Seattle for the summer and was invited by my Aunt to her home church. I was overwhelmed by the size of the church... but mostly the number of people attended. Everyone was friendly and welcoming. God's presence was definitely in that church; I received a heartfelt message that day. I disagree with the other reviews... because Pastor Casey Treat isn't only about "money". He is the head pastor of 2 branches and started a school grades preK-12 and a christian college. Overall, I'm excited for Christian Faith Center's future and I am confident that hundreds of lives will be touched by God's vessel, Pastor Casey Treat. read more

I've been attending CFC for about 7 years with my wife, ( both of us are under 40.) We have both jumped in and volunteered in several ministries and have been welcomed with open arms, as is the general policy there. We love the kids ministries and our kids are always singing songs of joy and Jesus is in their hearts. we also attend the Women's Wordshop and Men's Ministries programs, in addition to the major holiday events. CFC does it big for Easter and Christmas when they draw in as many as 5000 per service, and encouraging folks to come back and hear more of the Bible and how they can apply it to their lives. Into 2013, they started the Thorn, a play about Jesus and the journey of his life and how he died for our sins and rose from the grave to sit at the right hand of God. I've attended this church for about 20 years. This church is great! Casey Treat is a strong faith-filled man of God. They really encourage connecting with others. I loved their youth group as well. I served as an intern for about a year and I learned so much! The leaders aren't perfect, but who is? They have excellent staff and Casey and Wendy's teaching on leadership is EXTREMELY VALUABLE. read more

I was very angry with this Church, I went to this Church multiple times so I have seen enough of it to make a valid review. The worst thing about this Church is they try to bleed you dry for money, everytime I went they would always put immense pressure on you to give money and more often than not they would even have double offerings where you gave twice. They have very fancy lights and they have alot of high tech devices but this Church is just so heaven bent on making money and it drives me crazy and it really turns me off, I really do not mind giving, in fact when I first went I was quite happy to be giving money. I would walk in happy to give to them but the more I heard them talk about money the less I wanted to give and then I just started getting mad at them. The Bible talks about God giving you a light yolk and a light burden, this is a very heavy burden, Look it's great to help out, I volunteer and I try my best to treat people well but this just puts too much pressure on people. The focus of this Church is money and evangelism, right from the get go when you become a member they want you to start bringing more people to the church and they want you to offer money. They tell you to take a risk and try to pray for people in public places, which IMHO is making a fool out of yourself, instead of teaching us the pastor actually asks you the questions instead and show you the worst most poorest people in the world so you will feel sorry for them. They pressure people too soon, I want to go to Church to be healed from the world killing me but its the opposite, the Church kills me and then I heal myself out in the world. Let people take it on their own stride, don't beat them over the head with a bible and hussle up the offering money they have, this is terrible to do to people in a hurting economy and when mentally instable people come here looking for God and peace they find hate and greed and much suffering. This really turned me off from Church and it really frucked up my life, I still try to pray a little every now and then but this really destroyed my faith and im glad im not going anymore. Im tired of the advertising at the service, im tired of the double offerings, im tired of all the pressure to make a fool out of myself and become some sort of religious zealot, this Church screwed me big time and the moment I left I started living. read more

When I started going to CFC 3 yrs ago; I was jobless, homeless, penniless, not quite hopeless. I had a dieing car & 25 cents. Not even surviving. Seeing the world thriving. That's close to hopeless. At CFC I listened, learned, applied. Like 1 sermon said "ya know how u drive down I-5 & the other lane of cars is going past u & u r stopped? So u get into that lane & it stops. Then U r tempted to switch back?"... "When u quit watching the other guy, you can focus on what's ahead. Keep your eye in your own lane. Worry about you".... Backed with Scripture, that 1rst step at least released me to look ahead & not around, focus on coming back. I NOW have everything going for me. God. CFC prayed for my body which needed doctors. They prayed for them. I got them, got fixed. Got on track, coming back. In MIRACULOUS ways! Not that it's everything, but besides a home, and all other Blessings in the last 3 yrs, I have been taken around the world 4 times! Not working, but on vacation. ALL paid for. By God. Each time, picked up by a limousine at my door & brought home in the same limo. Now, have a car that's great, and so much more! Thank you CFC; for EACH WEEK I WENT for 3 years of Sundays, EACH Sunday spoke to me, GREW me & DIRECTED me. Thank YOU, GOD! There. This should prove that if You Seek God when you go, HE will meet you there. That's why I go to Church. CFC, specifically, for The Word & The Worship. God inhabits The Praises of His People. This Worship is Bullseye. Like The Scriptures, The Message will be delivered by a Human. Focus on God, tho Casey is a GREAT deliverer of God's Word. I wholeheartedly love CFC. My family and I have attended the Mill Creek, WA campus for more than 5 years now and from the moment we began we have felt welcomed and encouraged. They have classes for all ages from birth on up, and have fabulous special events for women, men, married folks and more. The Christmas, Easter and Independence Day services are extraordinary! They serve in the community and welcome, with open arms, all nationalities and races. It is a wonderfully, culturally diverse congregation. I appreciate the messages of encouragement, grace, truth & faith that are all Biblically based. I know my family would not be in the wonderful place we are without CFC. read more

My family and I have currently left CFC after being members for over a decade. My experience is somewhat unusual. I have a degree in Pastoral Ministries and am currently pursuing a Masters of Divinity degree at a local seminary (which is why I decided to leave and will explain more in detail below). After moving to Washington after finishing my BA my wife and I thought CFC would be a good place for us to be involved in the Ministry, given that it is large and should have several opportunities for ministry. We could not have been more wrong. From the outset we were told we would never become a staff member there unless we enrolled in the certification program at Dominion College (now called Vision College). Even after explaining we had received a BA in Pastoral Ministries with credentials they insisted we enroll in Dominion College (All of the current pastors on staff are either old chums of Casey's or have attended his college alone). After spending thousands of dollars to go through college the first time I was not going to do it again. We were told to volunteer, we did; in the music ministry, youth ministry, Security, prayer partners, GLUE, etc. all the while the leaders being closed to our ideas. Casey Treat is an exceptional motivational speaker, he is not a pastor, in the Biblical sense of the word. He does not have a pastor's heart. Casey's brand of theology is not new or groundbreaking. It is in the same vane of Swedenborgian theology, New Thought teaching by Phineas Quimby, and the Word Faith teachings of E.W. Kenyon which have been around for over 300 years in one form or another. Casey teaches the power of positive confession, positive thinking, God wants everyone to be prosperous and healthy, we are all little gods and Jesus was rich. There is no teachings on eschatology, hamartiology, etc. They cannot account for a theodicy because, in their view, God wants you to be prosperous and healthy all the time. He reduces the sovereignty of God and promotes the authority of man. Casey is a poor biblical expositor and uses the topical sermon message without fail. He often reads scripture out of context and uses scripture out of context to propound his point, usually on tithing and prosperity. An entry level class in homiletics and hermeneutics can show the dangers of that. Casey counts on and needs his church members to be Biblically illiterate and ignorant. The vast majority of the congregants at this church have an elementary understanding of the Bible and the Nature of God. I know because I have interacted with them multiple times in discipleship classes and Connect Groups. The theology and Biblical understanding of the leaders there is very superficial and shallow. The majority of the members of this church are bobble-heads and yes men for Casey and he can do no wrong in their sight. They overlook reality and history, not realizing that millions of Christians from the past were persecuted, poor, diseased and broken. Consider all of the early Church Fathers: Stephen was martyred, Paul was martyred, Peter was Martyred, John was boiled in oil and left to die on Patmos. Millions of early Christians were tortured, ostracized and killed for their belief in Christ. Where was their prosperity? Consider right now in history; it is easy to preach the Prosperity Gospel in the United States, Great Britain, Australia, South Africa and all the industrialized countries, where affluence and materialism isn't just common but is the norm, where our social structures of Capitalism and Free Enterprise allows for great financial gain. But what about the orphan in Africa, or the destitute in India, or the war weary of Myanmar or the Congo? Does the Prosperity Gospel preach there? Do you tell them God wants them to be rich and healty? The true Gospel of Christ says "come to me all who are weary and heaven laden and I will give you rest." The true Gospel of Christ says ""Blessed are the poor in spirit, for theirs is the kingdom of heaven. Blessed are those who mourn, for they will be comforted. Blessed are the meek, for they will inherit the earth. Blessed are those who hunger and thirst for righteousness, for they will be filled. Blessed are the merciful, for they will be shown mercy. Blessed are the pure in heart, for they will see God. Blessed are the peacemakers, for they will be called children of God. Blessed are those who are persecuted because of righteousness, or theirs is the kingdom of heaven. Blessed are you when people insult you, persecute you and falsely say all kinds of evil against you because of me. Rejoice and be glad, because great is your reward in heaven." If the Prosperity Gospel cannot be preached in Africa, India, Myanmar and all the other third world countries of the world then it is not the true Gospel. read more

Have attended there twice. Very large attendance--huge parking lot was full. Get there early. I was surprised by how the service is structured- having only very little interaction /participation with the congregation- maybe one song, if that. There is a sermon by Pastor Casey or other guest speaker as the main event - Casey over a TV screen from the other Everett campus. His wife stayed at this Federal Way one and spoke a little. Very much seems based around the personalities of the Pastor and his wife. The church website even bears the name of the pastor instead of the churches. Donations were 'encouraged' by pastor's wife with an appeal to guilt if you didn't. Uniformed police officers watch over the parking lot, and, along with some church members in back, over the service. The church has very many ministries programs to get involved in - this seems maybe the best the way to get the most out of the experience here. read more

This church has helped our family unite. His Sunday preaching has really helped us learn, become better people and become even more happier. Since going here, I am so much more motivated to help others. We really enjoy how the Bible and preaching from it can be applied to every day. I really like how anyone can go and not be judged, come as you are and you are welcomed type of thing. The people are so nice there too. Kidszone is great. My son loves it and the other Sunday said "mom leave me at church all day". They teach the preschoolers the bible and make it fun with crafts. The know how to teach this stuff, the Sunday school staff is wonderful. The have fun things for the kids to do, Thomas trains and train table, slide and many other toys. They give the kids a snack. I know I didn't really like church as a kid it was so boring but this church the kids love! The really put a lot of resources to make the kids have a great time and learn the bible. Our family has benefit from all their work. They do so much for the people. Both Casey and Wendy are so nice and really caring people. They are 100% dedicated to this. read more
