Chisuk Emuna has been my congregation since pre-K…read more Although it is more traditional than many conservative congregations, you can't beat the atmosphere. I can't remember how many times I've been shocked at other shuls when children are hidden away, or not allowed in the main sanctuary. While Chisuk Emuna does have a great junior congregation, kids are also allowed (and even expected!) to join in the main service. I've seen the Rabbi pick kids up (his own and others!) during services, and even continue a sermon while holding a toddler. While no shul is without faults (my gripe: Chisuk Emuna is not egalitarian), this has always been a wonderful place and wonderful community.
