It drives me to believe I'm the first one to write a review about K9 Crazy because no one had a bad experience yet. Kim is the owner and she's next level when it comes to being an expert of her craft. My wife and I were trying to figure out how to get the kids out of the Coronavirus funk and we contacted Kim to start the process of adopting a puppy. She paired us with a little dream come true. She must be psychic, dog whisperer, an angel sent from heaven or all of the above. She only pairs her clients with dogs she knows will be a fit, and she completely nailed it for us. My wife had a few dogs that weren't compatible and now she finally got her perfect match! This is my first dog and I can't imagine there's a better fit for me in the universe. Despite how much patience and work it is to raise a puppy, it's been the most healing experience for our family. I'm starting to think she rescued us instead of the dog. We were invited for a meet and greet for a dog. 35 minutes in she kept asking what time it was because she had someone else coming. Felt pressured to make a decision. Interacted with our current dog for about 20 minutes. Agreed to take the dog home. Within an hour I emailed, called, and Facebook messaged woman and she didn't respond for a couple of hours. Dog became aggressive with our dog and was limping. Asked to return the dog. She was so incredibly rude and condescending to both myself and my husband. Refused to give us our $500 back as it was a "donation" and we are under contract. This organization is not about finding the best home for a dog it's about transporting the cutest dogs from other rescues to a high pressure sales environment and making money. Period. Any person that actually cared about animals would offer some grace and want what is best for them instead of "sticking it" to the people that rescued them and realized in a short amount of time it was not a good fit. read more

My wife and I recently adopted a dog from K9 Crazy Puppy Rescue on Sunday 10/4/20. When we went to meet the dog, we noticed and were alerted to her very slightly favoring her right hind leg. We asked about the problem, and we were basically told that it was not a big deal, that she had recently been to the vet and there was nothing on her record about it. So we adopted her, and immediately brought her home. She continued to favor her leg, and we were not concerned until the following day(10/6/20) when she was full on limping. We brought her for an emergency check that afternoon. We were informed by the animal hospital we took her to that she had an unstable joint, and that it is not something that would have developed in the mere 5 days since her previous checkup. Additionally they mentioned that it is not something any vet would call "normal," indicating that the vet K9 Crazy consulted is either horrible at his job or actively looking the other way (aka malpractice). When we contacted Kim about this, she went hard on the defensive. We really wanted to inform her that her vet did not do a thorough examination, and that she should perhaps find a new one. She insisted that we were threatening her, she refused to contact the veterinarian, and refused to take responsibility for any medical expenses we were forced to pay (not to mention the exorbitant adoption fee) as a result of her negligence and/or willful deceit. read more

DO NOT ADOPT FROM K9 CRAZY! The owner, Kim is only out to make a buck and does not have the caring heart that one would expect from a person running a rescue. When we went to her home to meet a "puppy", the dog was CARRIED by Kim from the room where she keeps the kennels and placed on the floor to meet our family. The "puppy" had very little strength in her back legs and could barely walk. My husband and I looked at each other knowing that this "puppy" cannot stay there at K9 Crazy any longer and would come home with us regardless. The "puppy" smelled so bad from its living condition while at K9 Crazy, we called her Farm Show for the first week, even with daily baths. I have been referring to our newest addition as a "puppy" using the quotation marks because when we took our "4 month old puppy" for her first vet appointment the next week, we found out that she was about 1 year old already. Our adoption took place in Feb 2020, just before the COVID pandemic. I was a few weeks late in getting my paperwork to show my dog was spayed, and she refused to refund the spay/neuter deposit. During a time where every business is making concessions and being considerate of navigating through the challenges of being quarantined, Kim was not willing to refund my deposit. I had the dog spayed by the agreed date, but because the paperwork arrived a few weeks late, I'm in violation. Plus after I sent in the form, I followed up with two emails that were ignored. Kim finally responded after the 3rd email with a curt comment about me not getting the paperwork to her on time. I have NEVER dealt with someone that claims to be a caring person going out of her way to rescue dogs when she just packs dogs of all ages in a garage, living stacked on to of one another in filthy conditions. Her license to have a rescue should be revoked. read more
