I was impressed by this church. I have been invited to come visit Journey Church many times and…read moretoday, after many years of not visiting any church, I finally visited it. To begin with, Journey Church is a pretty big church with lots of visitors. They have plenty of parking and there are volunteers directing traffic. There is a tent for new visitors with lots of information. I got there while worshipping was happening and I felt the spirit through their songs. I loved how at home I felt by this. Immediately after it Pastor JJ Vasquez started preaching and, wow! He is funny, informative about the word, and keeps you fully engaged.

He speaks the word of God so well. He makes every single sermon relatable and understandable for anyone. The slogan of this church is to make Jesus accessible to anyone and that is exactly what they do each and every Sunday. The church is growing so much, they've been around for nine years And started in a living room and now they have thousands of people attending several different services at different locations and even online. I love participating in small groups that really helps to create community among such a large church. And they always have wonderful events for couples and women and teens and more. Recently, my close friend and her daughter started attending and her daughter even got baptized, which is something they do at the church. I believe three times a year.

I've been a member of Cornerstone Church Orlando since 2011 and my experience has been phenomenal…read more The church is a reformed Baptist church and holds to the 1689 London Baptist Confession of faith. The church offers weekly opportunities to go evangelizing, small groups (multiple days/times throughout the week available) Sunday school classes, a morning service (Lord's supper taken first Sunday of the month), and evening service unique to the morning service. The teaching is exegetical and the curriculum methodical across all teaching times to balance and enrich the lives of the members. It was through faithful evangelism that God saved me and brought me to the fellowship of the brothers and sisters of this church. I have precious fellowship with the church body. I get help learning to be a son, husband, father, and friend. During my time at the church I've graduated college, started my career, gotten married (met my wife at the church), purchased my first home, and have two wonderful kids. I am grateful for having weekly small group time where I can pray with my brothers, hold each other accountable to growing and being faithful to Christ and going through Bible lessons that drawn me closer to the Lord. The church by God's grace has planted a few churches in multiple countries. Guatemala, New York, Dominican Republic, and a spanish speaking church here in Orlando. There is also an active college ministry on the UCF campus that meets on Thursdays for evangelism and a time of Bible teaching. Throughout the year the church hosts a variety of events. Examples include: conferences, date night events (teaching on marriage related topics with food/child care), church wide fellowships, and community events on the church grounds that offer food, bounce houses, games, and other family friendly activities. The church is a mix of various ages, races, ethnicities, and socioeconomic status. I believe this is a result of the grace of God through the work of evangelism that goes on here. Throughout the week there are multiple times where believers gather to go out evangelizing, usually in small groups. There are multiple modes the evangelism looks: Knocking on doors in the neighborhoods, open air preaching/having conversations in the local parks and abortion "clinics". I have spent copious amounts of time with the elders, and deacons. Their lives/marriages are open books. I've eaten in their homes, sat under their teachings/preaching, and benefited from pre-marital counseling. You won't find perfect people at this church, but instead broken vessels that God has taken, cleaned, and made new. When you speak to the members/attendees you will find clear understanding of the gospel and credible testimonies of God's grace in their lives. There are varying levels of life and spiritual maturity, but a love for the Lord is the common denominator. The folks here will visit you in the hospital, take you a meal in need, and support you through life's difficulties. The elders also preach during weddings and funerals when needed/requested and provide marital/life counseling. A small note to address some of the extreme negative reviews I have read associated with this church: These reviews come from individuals who have left the church disgruntled swinging their fists on their way out. Reading their reviews you get an idea of their anger and frustrations they still hold onto. You get an idea of this through the repeated language and accusations. This implies to me a coordinated effort to attack the church they once loved. It's a bold claim to call a church a "cult" or to use such colorful language when speaking of a congregation of believers. I'm also grieved when I see other churches and well known/influential believers names are thrown out and so casually in relation to a handful of nasty reviews involving people unknown to them. If you're unsure what to think, "Come and see..." John 1:38-39.

Solid biblical teaching and preaching of Gods word. The love of the brethren is seen clearly! Love…read morethis church.
