This experience was so bad I'm still salty about this 3 years later. So I'm writing this review to…read morehelp anyone else from getting scammed. So about 3 years ago I had put my car into the water filled ditch. My car literally drowned. Despite that I was able to drive it for a week after that. When I finally put gas in it after the crash, it broke down. Wouldn't start up. I had a friend look at it and he couldn't figure out what was wrong. So we sent it to the Chevy dealer (Norther Motors) in trf to get fixed. They fixed and sent it back to me. Another week later it won't start up again. So we send it back. This time they tell us that the computer is full of water and when winter comes it will freeze up and destroy the car. They said it would cost thousands of dollars to fix. One of the technicians said he would by it from us for $500 so he could fix it up and keep it for himself since he had just moved from Vegas and didn't have a car. I remember him saying it would even cost him thousands of dollars to fix it. So we agreed to sell it to him and he would pay us at the end of the month and we would give him the title. Meanwhile we left the car in their parking lot since supposedly it "wouldn't run". Not even a week later I see my car posted on the TRF sell and swap page for $ 2,500 ($1,000 over what I had bought it for before the damage). We immediately contacted the and told them we would not be selling him the car and we were going to come pick it up. Since I had already purchased a new car we let it sit in our garage over the winter since we had no idea what to do with it. Once spring came I sold it to my sister. All it needed was a battery. It has been running ever since for 3 years. So much for a "frozen computer". This place is the trenches. Hope this helps.

Two-Part Review - Sales & Service…read more This is a two-part review based on my experience purchasing a 2021 TRD Pro in June 2024 and my ongoing service experience. Sales Experience (4/5) When I came in, I knew exactly what I wanted. The truck had only been on the lot for about a day, and I came prepared with a significant amount down. I thought that might help with negotiating, but eagerness + a rare model doesn't exactly create leverage. Lesson learned. Financing and management were solid. The salesperson was newer and didn't know much about the truck, so I ended up educating him a bit. No hard feelings -- everyone starts somewhere -- but as most people know, buying a vehicle isn't usually anyone's favorite process. Overall, I'd call sales a 4 out of 5. Service Experience (5/5) This is where they've really earned my business. I purchased the prepaid service package and have been consistently impressed. I'm now around 70,000 miles. They've made recommendations when appropriate but have never pushed unnecessary upsells. Oil changes are typically done in about 30 minutes, communication is strong, and they even send technician walk-through videos explaining what they're seeing. One visit stood out -- after an oil change, I had barely left when they called to say they noticed a small amount of oil where my truck had been parked and wanted to double-check everything. I turned around immediately. It ended up being minor residual oil from service, but the fact that they were proactive enough to call before I even made it home said a lot. Most recently, Hunter in service was excellent -- clear communication, honest discussion about what needed to be done now versus later, and he even honored most of a prior 15% service promotion after checking with management. And a huge shoutout to Larry, one of their senior technicians. I mentioned a small bumper issue while the truck was on the lift. He set expectations properly and said he didn't want to risk causing more damage. When I came back to pick it up, they had fixed it anyway -- no extra charge. That's under-promise and over-deliver. Sales was solid. Service has been exceptional. I'm currently considering purchasing a second vehicle -- possibly a BMW M4 or Z4 with the inline-six platform shared with the Toyota Supra. Living in Fargo, we don't have a BMW dealership locally, so service matters. The fact that I'm seriously considering a $50,000 used vehicle partly because I trust this service team to potentially help support it says everything. That level of confidence doesn't happen by accident

I am very disappointed with my experience at Corwin Toyota of Fargo…read more I purchased my car about three months ago, and after only three days, the air conditioner stopped working. I drove without A/C for nearly two months before taking the vehicle back to the dealership. When I brought it in, Chris told me the air conditioning was not covered under the extended warranty I had purchased. However, after I spoke with someone in the finance department, they informed Chris that my warranty did, in fact, cover the air conditioning system. Chris then told me he would look into it and get back to me within four days. Instead, it took nearly two weeks, despite my calling countless times without being able to reach anyone. Eventually, Chris texted me saying it would cost $3,000 to repair the A/C. I then went back to the dealership to speak with someone in person. Unfortunately, I received different answers from different employees. Another staff member told me the repair would cost $5,000 instead. The manager eventually reached out to me, and when I went to the dealership, he called the maintenance manager to come in and speak with us. The manager told us he was going to drop off a customer's keys and would be right back. However, he never returned. I also have text messages documenting my communication with David Eslinger from Corwin Toyota. On September 8, David texted me stating that the parts and labor for the fuse block would be $868.18, with no diagnostic charge. I approved the repair. I then followed up because I had been calling repeatedly and could not get any information about my vehicle. David apologized for the lack of communication and acknowledged that the part had taken much longer to arrive than he expected. I explained that the repair was already way overdue and that I needed my vehicle that week. David later acknowledged that he had seen my voicemail and message but had not gotten back to me. Then, about a week later, David reached out to me again and said that he had given me the wrong information and that the actual amount I would have to pay was approximately $5,500. This was extremely frustrating because I had already been given several different prices and explanations. First I was told $3,000, then $868.18 for the fuse block, and then approximately $5,500. The constant changes in information, lack of communication, and the way my concerns were handled were extremely frustrating. I expected much better customer service after purchasing a vehicle and an extended warranty from this dealership. I am sharing my experience with the African community and others so they can be aware of my experience and make informed decisions when purchasing a vehicle. I have kept the text messages documenting these conversations. This is my personal experience, and I hope the dealership takes these concerns seriously and improves its communication, transparency, and customer service.
