From what I understand from office staff, you're being recorded from the time you walk in, in the lobby, and in the exam room. She also told me that's not something they usually disclose. I'm not sure why they would feel the need to record their patients - when the office is open and people are there. It certainly can't be because of past burglaries *because the office is open*. But that was enough to send me walking out the door.

The office staff/receptionists, however, are too often rude and seem resentful at having to answer the phone and help patients. As far as their 'Boutique," however, I purchased a really expensive pair of glasses. After wearing them a couple of days, I found they were a defective design--the cross bar protruded radically onto the lens, visible in your line of sight constantly. I was told to wear them and try to get used to it. Unable to, I was put through hell getting a refund even when the office manager acknowledged the defect--and I was 'banned' by letter from ever entering their 'Boutique' as punishment. From poor service by the Boutique, to failure to stand by their product, to trying to humiliate their clients.

I had been dealing with dry eye issues since May and had been struggling to find somewhere that could see me in a reasonable amount of time. I was really thankful that Sac Eye Consultants was able to get me in much sooner. Even though dry eye may not always be considered an urgent issue, I had been dealing with symptoms for months and it was really affecting me. I truly appreciate that they have availability for patients who are struggling and need to be seen, even if their issue isn't necessarily considered an emergency. I traveled over an hour each time to get there and occasional would be running late but they never made me feel bad about it so long as I gave them a call to let them know. My appt went smoothly. Vision tested, optic nerve pics taken, peripherals documented, cornea depths measured, etc. Staffers treated me professionally & courteously laughed at my jokes. Overall, it was a wonderful experience to have something scary done. They numb your eyes, pupils were dilated, eyes get touched w/probes and they made me feel comfortable through it all!!
