If you want her to, she will style your hair and show you how to recreate at home, complete with product/tool recommendations (she recommends a variety and isn't limited to only referring products sold in the salon so there is no unnecessary pressure). So! My first time actually going to Christie was to get my hair styled for my high school prom. Christie is a fantastic stylist! I came in with virgin hair and she helped me decide what I wanted to do with it. I wanted the change to be both natural and a little bold, so she suggested doing a natural balayage with a rose gold underlayer - I got the best of both worlds! I also requested a cut with subtle layers, and she gave me exactly what I wanted. After a couple of days, I noticed that I didn't like the yellow tone in my hair of the balayage, and Christie was so kind as to invite me back so she could tone it down to a more subtle brown color.
