My Fiancé and I went to Kathy for a color and cut. We showed her photographs of ourselves and what we would like. We provided the formulas for the color from our previous Hairdresser who had retired and moved away. I also had Kathy speak with my old Hairdresser on the telephone personally. She refused to follow any instructions given and proceeded to cut and color our hair as she wished and stated "Im not Judy"! (Our previous Hairdresser) She left gray in my Fiancés hair and acknowledged she didn't leave the color on long enough. Her cut was awful and she stated to her "I don't do Big Hair." I had asked her upfront not to use a razor on the sides above my ears. Not only did she use a razor, she cut off the color she had applied so I have shaved patches of grey over both ears. She also would not color my hair with the formula I provided but used a product she had that she applied in a premade tube. I should have left at this point... My cut is horrible and nothing like the photos of myself I provided or my old Hairdresser had personally spoken to her about. She overcharged the both of us and then tacked on a additional Surcharge because I paid with a credit card. I was unaware of this at the time I provided my card. We will never go back to her and you should be aware if you choose to use her services! The 1 Star is generous for the service provided as 0 Star was not available! read more

After many years of not knowing what to do or where to go I finally went into KC Salon as a walk in and spotted someone who immediately gave me all the good feels. NICHOLE is her name. She was able to see me that day and was so understanding of what I was asking for and boy did she deliver. I just needed a cut at the time. Not even a week later I decided to put tape in extensions in my hair at home and it looked pretty rough. I went back and Nichole literally made all my hair dreams come true. She was able to highlight, blend, and turn me into someone I didn't even know existed. Someone beautiful. Confident. I can't thank her enough for the amazing experience. She then cut my 3 yr old sons hair and thanks to her auntie experience she did that fantastically as well. She's truly my hair angel. I have been coming to Lindsey at KC Salon for years! She always gets my preferred shoulder-length cut exactly how I love it. Don't worry if shoulder length isn't your style, I know from experience she can cut anyone's hair and do an amazing job! I was looking for a good hair salon in yorba linda near me and stumbled across this place. I called to ask if they accept walk ins and nicole told me she could help me out at a specific time. When i got there, she had me sit down right away and i'm very pleased with her work. You could really tell that she loves her job and she is good at it. She gave me recommendations of what style would look good on me and of products to use and all of it worked. She took her time to really talk to me about what i want. For many years, I have tried different salons and I have been a hard time to find a hair stylist that makes my highlights just the way I like it. When I traveled abroad this year, I had my hair done and fell in love the way it was highlighted. A little darker tone on top and lighter/blonder on the bottom. Thank you Carly for writing an awesome review about Michelle. I texted her the night before the appointment and she totally had an opening. I had planned to donate my hair and I was unsure of the process and seeing how my cousin's stylist sent it in for her, I asked if she would be able to, and she said yes! Michelle is so down to earth and out going. She totally makes you comfortable and listens to what you want and make suggestions if you're indecisive, like me! She charges $25 per haircut and only takes cash or check. I had originally came in thinking of how I wanted my hair, but was also open to options, since she is the one with the most experience. I showed her the picture, and she thought that because of my Asian hair and how the layers won't show as well since I don't have a lighter colored hair, she suggested the infamous layers that are reverse, instead of back, they start from the back and go up to the front. I originally had despised such look, after seeing Victoria Beckham pull it off, I knew only the gifted ones with the goddess facial structures and fierce attitudes could only pull that look off. However, Michelle put a more feminine twist to it and added volume to my super straight Asian hair. I always had side bangs, as they were the thing, and it was to hide any blemishes that may have popped up, but Michelle told me that she didn't want me to cover up my forehead, as it was nicely structured and complemented my facial structure. This was the second time I was told this, and now I do believe that my forehead is good for something. Michelle also helped me realize that despite my lack of properly styling my hair as every girl does, there is a bushel of healthy, shiny hair. Michelle made me look younger than i had with 10+ inches of hair and made me realize the potential of my straight Asian hair. Thank you Carly and Michelle! read more

Maybe it was because it was a Sunday, and I had called for an appointment that day. I heard the conversation between the receptionist and stylist instead of putting me on hold. I needed a quick fix to a haircut that I attempted on myself to save money. Kelly was not who I was supposed to see, but she did everything I asked. This was not my regular salon, and her techniques left my hair feeling okay, not fabulous. It was $45.00 for this trim. I just felt as if I got lower quality for too high of a cost. I have really thick hair and used to deal with the terrible mushroom cuts and sloppy cuts from the various places I went to until I met Rebecca. She also doesn't mind if you bug her during the cut! I have been going to Michelle forever now! I used to go to her when she was at her previous salon. I looove where she is now, the salon is very nicely kept and has a very good energy to it. I have always gone to Michelle to consult, cut, AND color my hair. I love how it comes out everytime and my boyfriend loves it too! She's the reason he is still around! Hahaha just kidding... Before I met Michelle, i was still trying to find someone who could help me maintain my short haircuts. I was always trying different stylists because it seemed like every person i went to would screw it up.. So my sister, CARLY, referred me to Michelle (finally) and i have only been going to her since then. Michelle is so awesome, she is very adventerous when it comes to my hair. Shes always been the one to cut my hair short and she always makes it look good!! Just to name a few haircuts, shes given me Rihanna's hair cut when it was short. She's given me the girly version of the fauxhawk.. And my favorite right now, shes been cutting my sides short with the top and front long.... Now, because i do work in an office admin position, michelle has managed to give me edgy looks but keep it soft, feminine, and office appropriate at the same time. Shes so wonderful! I came here for the first time a couple weeks ago because I just needed a quick trim to cut off my dead ends and I didn't have enough time to go all the way to my usual place in Rowland Heights. It was a last minute decision to get my hair trimmed, so I called in and made an appointment for 1 hour later (so easy!). Nicole was so warm and friendly! We had a nice conversation while she was doing my hair (something I was worried that I wouldn't be able to do because I'm used to sitting in silence while my Chinese-speaking hairdresser talks on and I nod). She did exactly what I wanted: trim my hair. A lot of times in the past, I tell hairdressers I just want a trim and then they cut off 3 inches of hair -________- Thank you, Nicole, for listening!! She even suggested framing my face with a few layers and they turned out perfectly. I was very happy with the result! The only thing is the price was a little steep for just a trim and a few layers ($35). Oh well! It was was a good first experience and I'll probably be back again in the future after I graduate/get a job. Hopefully, Nicole will still be there. She's awesome! ;) read more

Went here for the first time yesterday for an Ombre for my daughter and highlights and a cut for myself. I've been using the same hairdresser for about 8 years now and wanted to try someone else who might know how to cut curly hair a little better. Nichole did an amazing job on the Ombre for my daughter - it turned out just like the picture she brought and looks amazing! Kathy (the owner) put beautiful highlights in my hair (just the shade I asked for) and cut my hair so well that it almost looks like I got a perm! My curly hair is vibrant and manageable again! I saw the way Kathy did my highlights and it was totally different from the way my old hairdresser was doing it - no wonder my hair was drying out faster than I could condition it...she had been putting the whole strand in the bleach every time I went to have my roots done! Kathy said that was why my hair was so dry - that is the WRONG way to do it! Kathy highlighted just my roots and then washed it out and hooked me up with a special deep conditioning treatment under the dryer to renew my hair. It worked like a charm! Nichole and Kathy were so friendly, fun to talk with, and made the experience feel more like a visit with an old friend then to a hair salon with people we had never met before. I don't care about making the drive from Corona to Yorba Linda...this salon is worth it! read more

I come here to get my nails done by Cynthia and she does a fantastic job! She does full sculptured nails (not just the tips) and they look so natural when they're done. I suffer from terrible onychophagia and this is the first time my nails and quick have not felt sore or weak after a manicure. Everything is kept very clean and sterile, and if you have any questions she'll explain every step. I have only briefly met the rest of the salon staff, but they all seem very professional and personable. Definitely recommending K.C! read more

As a hairdresser myself, I am extremely picky, OCD, straightforward and upfront with how I want my blonde hair. Yes I can sometimes intimidate other hairstylists who are highlighting my hair because of my straightforwardness. I have never once ever, loved my hair as much as I did after leaving Lindsey's chair! She is the most Sweet, quiet person ever and I felt like she was a little nervous... I arrived at 12.20 for a 12.30 pre-paid appointment at to find the salon locked and in darkness. I sat in my car outside and called the number which went to answerphone saying they were either closed or busy. I returned to the salon at 12.30 the door was still locked. I returned to my car and drove past the salon when I noticed a light inside. I parked and returned to the salon where the door was now unlocked. I was informed that I was late and could not have the treatment, that there was a notice on the door telling me to wait outside ( what if it had been raining) The note was hand written in scrawly writing on a scrap of paper and about 6 feet up the window by the side of the door. I am 5'2" !! I was refused a refund. The agency I had booked through were really accommodating and offered me a voucher that could be used elsewhere. WARNING!!! BE REAL CAREFUL WITH THIS SALON! After Kathy ,the owner saw my post she started messaging me on yelp and texting my phone very angry and just very paranoid. scary! She kept Denying THE HORRIBLE JOB THEY DID TO MY HAIR! AND Nichole did to ,but she quit texting me after a while. BUT Kathy kept harassing me to my phone and on yelp. It was really wired because she admitted the job was done wrong.Then she goes off!! This is really not a safe place to even go to if they can't except there mistakes and they do this to people that yelp them or make a complaint about a bad job. We have enough crazy people in the world. Who needs this?! I had to turn off my phone because Kathy would not stop. It was scary!! BE CAREFUL!!!!! THIS PLACE IS NOT GOOD!! I called to get low light. Nicole gave me an appointment fir 3:00. I asked her who would be doing my hair because I want someone that really knows what there doing. She said"I'm doing you hair" she sounded very young but I went ahead and went in. There was nobody the at all it was empty. That should of been a clue!! I explained to Nicole what I wanted and she said she could do it no or lema. It would be 90.00. Ok that's fine. I told her I already did a toner but she and Kathy said they want to do one to. Well my hair turned green!! Nichole quickly called Kathy to come look at my hair. She told me she didn't know why happened. Then they were snickering in the back talking to Robin. Robin gave Nicole an idea. Then Nichole comes back and says she is going to put a dark brown in ,then high lights. I said" no no no more beach in my hair please just do it one color... forget about the lowlights. Forget what I came it here for my hair is green, just get them green out!!!" She sits me back in the chair and I see more foil!!! That means MORE BLEACH!! I said no I just want it one color. Well Kathy insist she do WHAT ROBIN TOLD HER TO DO!!!! Then Nichole and Kathy say I don't know anything about color " JUST DO WHAT ROBIN TOLD HER TO DO!!!!" I was not happy one bit! Well now Nichole is in a hurry nervios and starts putting the foil on the top of my hair! With a dark color!! After I just paid 100.00 to get my hair bleach blond!! Poor Nicole dose not know what she is doing AT ALL!! She really messed up. As she was doing this mess she kept calling Kathy name to see what to do next. Her licenses is nowhere in sight. She says she's been there for a year. I don't believe it!! And I must say NOBODY BUT ONE LITTLE OLD LADY WENT IN THERE THE WHOLE TIME I Was there!! Pretty grim sight!! But don't go here they don't care what happens to your hair. And Nichole needs more schooling. read more
