We arrived with no real expectations ,no reservations. We're told to sit anywhere by a nice waitress behind the bar. ( Darla ) Ordered beers. Fast and refreshing. Looked at menu and a full special board. And decided on prime rib cheesesteak and potato wedges. I have got to say while waiting for the order we noticed how clean this place was. I mean really really clean no dust no nothing Food arrived and it was outstanding. Hot and very satisfying This place is a real gem and I'll be back. Just stopped into grab a bite to eat randomly on an out-of-town fishing trip really dig the vibe at Christie's. The servers were super polite and very helpful. The burgers were amazing and some of the local riffraff that was in there had everybody laughing. I'm pretty sure his name was Cliff and I'm pretty sure he had was hammered , but it was a great time. We pick a spot, and ride to it! Over a hundred miles to eat at this little gem! Located on the Heart of Warren PA, this restaurant was surprisingly cool! The out side had a little table and chair set up and the plants baracaded the windows. Pleasantly surprised at the cool decor of this pub. The waitress said to sit where we wanted and we chose a booth. She took our order and explained a few things. The menu- 4 pages with multiple items to choose from. And not pricey at all $10- $15 tops The food was Amazing!, Gourmet Grilled cheese and the Burger looked outstanding! It's definitely a go to for a nice lunch or dinner A+ in my book read more

Wendy was an amazing waitress and bartender. They have a great beer selection including the local award winning bentrun brewery. Mind blowing burgers! I don't say that lightly, I'm an extremely picky burger eater and this is the best one I've had this year! Near downtown Warren in a strip. Spotlessly clean comfortable interior. Christie's Downtown Pub & Grill is located in the space formerly long occupied by what was for many, many years the ever popular Busy Bee. With the death of Frank and the retirement of his brother Jimmy Vavala this former local waterhole and institution has now changed hands and has been completely remodeled with a bright inviting décor. The only remain remnant is a single old yellow ceiling tile intentionally left behind to remind people of the years of smoking, now no longer permitted, and drinking that once took place here and a large stuff bee toy suspended in the rear of the restaurant. The place was in serious need of a remodeling as well as an update and Christie's has done it well. I stopped by this new establishment several times. The bar is full liquor, well stocked and the noon time sandwiches, of which there is a wide variety along with various burger combinations, proved to be very good. Most of the noon patrons are recognizable employees from the corporate headquarters of Northwest Savings Bank located across the street. The also serve a dinner however I was deeply disappointed with the steaks which are a far distance from the flavor and quality of special marinated Angus that Jimmy had perfected over the years when he operated the kitchen of the former Busy Bee. All in all a rather nice place but nothing special, outstanding or unique. read more

Just moved to this area. Saw this place, wondered, so started reading reviews. Quarantine times, so I called in. Went to pick up, and was very impressed from the get go. Had social distancing in place. Very clean. Warm, homey atmosphere. Staff are so friendly! My first order for Chicken Strawberry Almond Salad was beyond my expectations. Fresh, and very generous portion! Second order was Cheese Burger. Man!! This generous homemade patty was cooked EXACTLY as I ordered. Med well. Stopped in Christie's for an impromptu lunch while is was in beautiful Warren Pennsylvania. Christie's is a family owned small bar that serves an appropriate selection of pub style food. I had a cup of French Onion soup with a Pub Burger and fries. Everything was made fresh by a great kitchen staff who seem to take a lot of care and pride in their job. The French Onion soup was the best that I've had outside of Southside Frankie's in St. Catherine, Ontario. The onions are wide cut and the crock was topped with cheese and croutons. I prefer to have the the cheese over the crock and baked in an oven where the cheese crisp up a little. All in all, great soup. The star of the lunch was the Pub Burger! I can't wait to go back and have another one of these. The burger is a simple combination of caramelized onions, mushrooms and cheese topping a burger, the the flavor was outstanding. The bun was toasted, burger cooked to order and toppings all working in harmony. I didn't realize until now (days later) that I didn't add any condiments to the burger - a true testament to the existing flavor profiles. The fries as Christie's are hand cut and fresh. There was an ample supply on my plate and I was searching for more when I finished. I look forward to my next visit. read more

Nice menu for an unassuming downtown pub/restaurant. Friendly attentive staff, very welcoming. The food is fresh and well made. I dragged myself here after a long day working in the cold ,not enthusiastic at all but left refreshed and in good spirits. Very good selection of soup five soups in one day and the load potatoes was very very good. Fry were very good I had Ruben and it was good. I am coming back for sure. Saturday night is prime rib and it's a good idea to make reservations because even Friday night more than half the tables were reserved so good idea to make your reservation early. read more

I would give Christie the achievement of the year for a local bar and restaurant. It has by far come the furthest since I got here last October. Even though they have the basic bar foods, they have different specials for lunch and dinner for a more family dining and their drink menu's have peeked than the basic wine and beer that you find in this local bars and restaurants. Maybe it's the high expectations from other users, or the fact it took 20 minutes alone to even get the waitress to wait on us and get our beverage, but I came away from this place very displeased. I understand that at lunch time it can get busy, however, upon entering the establishment there were only 8 other patrons (4 tables total) in the place. While we were still waiting (45 minutes) for our order, another table was tired of waiting for the lady to take their order and walked out. I was also not satisfied with the canned drink selection, it's my personal belief that any bar/pub should have the fountain beverage system, it just tastes better to me. When this place first opened, it was great. Seriously great. But my last few times here, service was slow or non-existent, and the food was underwhelming. Either the portion was too small for the price, it was overcooked, or it was poorly seasoned. There are still a few items that I like on the menu, but there are better choices in town. read more

Stopped in for lunch with my son. We each ordered a cheeseburger with fries. An hour and 15 minutes later our food arrived. Son's burger horrifically greasy and the fries were burnt and cold. My burger was charred on the outside and completely raw inside. The fries were hot tho. We were not happy as we watched customers come and go while we waited for our food. One waitress was going off using profanity to the other waitress because a customer did not leave her a big enough tip. My husband and I just moved here and got a baby sitter and went out. We wanted to beck out the downtown area so we went to Christie's first. Service is great! Live music started at 7 on a Saturday night. (Happy as a mom- I can't stay out super late). The appetizers were delicious! Fried pickle (my first time having one) was amazing! The fried portobello mushrooms weren't bad. (I am a stuffed mushroom fan). All in all, quite enjoyable. Staff was attentive and polite and quite knowledgable. I was in Warren for business. It's a small town in rural western Pa. I'm saying this as dining expectations can't be too high, so my star rating reflects the local area. Christies is a small, bar, casual dining atmosphere. There is nothing fancy about it. The menu is straightforward. I had the sweet and spicy sandwich. It was a delightful mix of ham, salami, and a sweet pickle spread on grilled marble bread. It was amazing! I ate the whole thing. My colleagues had dinner entrees, the baked Haddock and the Prime Rib. Both reported them to be delicious. Their salads were generous and looked fresh. Their beer selection was decent for a small town pub. The negative is they only had boxed wine. The chef (maybe owner?) came out and said hello, asked how we liked things and was very friendly. It was pretty obvious we were the only non-locals, but everyone was friendly. I would go again if in Warren. read more

Christie's is a great little bar. The staff is nice and the atmosphere is that of a quiet bar/restaurant. The patrons are usually older and with that comes a nice dining atmosphere. This is non-smoking establishment so children are welcome for lunch/dinner. The food is always good and the portions are a decent size. Definitely a great go-to for a good sandwich. read more

Food was horrible, never asked me if I wanted something else to eat when they saw I wasn't eating my meal. Never offered me another drink, my beer was empty before my food ever arrived. Overall bad experience. We've been here several different times and every time we are not happy with the service or the food. Takes way too long to get drinks , let alone your food. Expect to spend at least an hour an half if not two hours. Plus way over priced. One time a coke was the same price as a mixed drink , $4.00. Next time the coke was normal priced. Every time they always mess up drink orders . Doesn't matter if it's pop , tea or mixed drinks. read more
