Christie's had such cool things and such a fabulous selection! I found everything I was looking for and the owners were so so sweet!

Christie's is about as good as it gets when searching for antiques. The owner seems to run the shop herself - I've never seen anyone else working in here. As such the hours are a bit limited. Really I wouldn't want to talk to anyone else though. This woman knows here stuff. I've browsed the store a time or two and you can really get lost in here. Even if you don't end up buying anything, it's certainly an experience. I see lots of potential for gift shopping here. Prices aren't the best as I imagine many of the items could be purchased online or at a shop more off the beaten path for less. On the flip side of that, the owner will give you a history lesson on practically any item. She is constantly perusing the internet for values with antiques websites and ebay forever open on her computer. It's great that the store isn't limited to a few types of antiques of one particular genre. There's furniture and décor throughout. Old tools, kitchen wares, wooden boxes, music boxes, old-timey pictures and lots of jewelry ranging from costume to gem encrusted gold. Again, if you know someone who likes antiques with a birthday coming up you will easily find something worth buying here. read more

I wouldn't try selling any items to the owner. She will try and say your items are fake even if they aren't and try to scam you based off your lack of knowledge or just lowball you from the get go. read more

This is everything I want from an "antique" store, everything and more. She's got an amazing amount of jewelry and let me say, I love LOVE going through old jewelry but it's displayed better and more loved and cared for than any other "junk store" I've ever been in. People that want to decorate old farmhouse can find all they need, but you can find fun, silly, beautiful, reminiscent, and nostalgic.. don't forget the most important "I NEEEEEEED IT" category :) Christie is so knowledgeable and friendly. My first experience was above my best expectations! The owner Christie, greeted me as soon as she could while helping customers. Was super chill, personal, kind, and very helpful to find what I was looking for, and did not try to oversell anything, like... Influence me to buy what was nor fit for my needs, she just went to the items, showed me what she had and gave me good info on the items. She even went out of her way to hold an item for me for the following month, and offered layaway payment options. Says there were several antique shops off of main next to her but because of her large inventory she was the only one still open like about 15 years later. But I do think its also her hospitality and super down to earth own self she was with me. Her prices are very realistic! Can't wait to go again. And pic up my rare found item that I could only try to find at specialty European import shops but even there did not find what she has. read more

If this app would allow me to give this place negative stars, I definitely would. I'd rate it like a -3. Don't get me wrong, there's some pretty neat stuff there, all over priced, but a good selection. The reason for my review was how horribly rude the woman working was. I have a 3month old little boy, and mentioned to her that he had already spoken 3 words, which I have on video. Well when we concluded business I walked towards the door and stopped to look at a nic-nac and she thought I left the store and started talking straight crap. She turned to another customer to see if I'd gone n said good they were so weird, thinking a 3mth old could talk. My babies just smart cuz he most certainly did. But I was livid to say the least and definitely won't be returning read more

This place is small, but packed to the top with a lot of great finds. I wish I'd had more time to play in there. The more I looked the more I found that I loved. TONS & tons of vintage & antique costume jewelry with rhinestones & thousands of necklaces, brooches, earrings, bracelets... Victorian, Deco, 50's, crystal, gilt, glass... So many beautiful pieces. The prices on almost everything I wanted was a little higher that I would pay because I repurpose stuff - but she did say she'd give 30% off many things over $20, or maybe that was under $20 if cash or check was used. She has it all organized, however so many boxes are stacked on top of the other, so if you don't see it - ask Christy, she'll go right to what your looking for!! I'm hoping to go back sometime soon, but I live in Raleigh & was visiting Charlotte this weekend - she really had SO MANY great pieces - oh, make sure you look in the back & open drawers - lots of hidden treasures! read more

Man I love Christie's, run of course by Christie herself. They have everything from Victrolas to cast iron to toys to vintage tools to Playboys to glassware and clothing. She is a particular expert in Little Golden Books as a former collector. Do not be afraid to bargain a little bit of you are buying a chunk of items. read more

We stopped by one morning while walking around downtown Pineville. We asked about an item that did not have a price on it. The lady at the front desk said she would find out for us. We waited 10 minutes and ended up walking out because she never acknowledged us again, even as we walked past the desk several times (she seemed preoccupied with something else going on). Customer service needs improvement. read more

I stopped in Christies today looking for a pair of dining room chairs. I loved It the moment I walked into the store. It was a feast for the eyes with a little bit of everything from the floor to the ceiling. Christie showed me all her chairs pointing out special features and details that I would have missed on my own. We spent the rest of the time looking at and playing with her MASSIVE collection of costume jewelry. Christie was so knowledgeable and fun to talk with. We have been looking for a small table and arrived at her store just before she closed. She opened the door for us and proceeded to show us all the little tables she had. christies on main is the best place to find anything vintage. every time i walk in there it is as if i were stepping back in time. chris (christie) always remembers me and greets me by name. i love doing business with her. she knows her stuff. you wont find a more honest better business person in her genre. only the best. read more
