He gave me some suggestions for other stores to check so that was very helpful. If you are looking for furniture, I would highly recommend you check this place out. They have a massive amount of floor space and a wide selection with excellent price points.

The cold shoulder led me to leave the store, and visit Kiki's Kottage (which is only a few doors down) where I was promptly and warmly greeted. Kiki's has beautiful pieces, and I purchased a gorgeous buffet there. I had a stellar customer service experience from start to finish at Kiki's. They did as well as they could under the circumstances and everyone who was there at the store when it opened got their purchase, though maybe not in the order they had originally queued up. That's a minor ding. And speaking of minor ding, this is "scratch and dent." My chest freezer was clearly used but it's operational, guaranteed for 90 days and I'm sure some "goo gone" will get rid of the marks on it. The folks did not want to be dealing with the public today. Definitely not a bunch of people who were about a minute away from an actual riot. But they did pretty well keeping things as organized as they could and selling what people wanted to buy They loaded it into my vehicle for me, which was awesome service. We planned to FULLY renovate our kitchen at the end of October, so consciously placed our appliance order with Queen City in July for all major appliances (fridge, cooktop, microwave, double ovens, and more). In October (the week our demo started) the store informed us that the warehouse in CLT dropped our cooktop and it would need to be re-ordered. There was never an apology or remorse for their own mistake. We are SIX WEEKS PAST that phone call and no appliance has ever been delivered. I have been extremely patient, but every week when I call for an update to this DAY there has never been an apology, or accountability for THEIR mistake. I have to chase someone down every week for any sort of information that they "might be able to find" in the system. My entire renovation is paused 'midway' ... they act as if this happens all the time and WE ARE BOTHERING THEM following up on the order we placed in July. Just abysmal customer service. Again, as a business owner myself I am completely disappointed with our experience and would NOT recommend them to anyone.

She said their furniture comes from North Carolina, wrong it is delivered from a warehouse in North Carolina. The $7100 bedroom set we purchased has a big sticker on the back stating Made in Vietnam! The reason it took so long to build is it care on a boat shipped from Vietnam. Ordered on 9/16/2023 and delivered on 12/23/2023 and one of the dressers was missing as the forgot to order it at the same time. Received missing dresser 1/2/2024 and the drawer would not close as it should, had to call send a video to customer care to verify concern and then they would send a repair technician, 1/13/2024 technician came and said the drawer slide was bent and have to order new ones. 2/1/2024 the technician came and installed the new slides and could not resolve the issue and determined the dresser was not properly put together and would have them order another dresser. 4/20/2024 new dresser delivered top drawers did not close properly on this one. Bassett sent technician out again on 5/29/2024 and determined the drawers were not square and ordered 2 new drawers. So 7/18/2024 the technician came with the 2 new drawer and installed them and adjusted for proper fit. Finally 7 months and 17 days after we received our new bedroom set it is complete. So short story Do NOT by anything from Bassett furniture !!! RUN, RUN, Run AWAY fast as you can.
