That preparation made it much easier to feel safe, open, and fully present. Throughout the three-hour workshop, we were guided through exercises that gave us the opportunity to slow down, focus on one another, connect through intentional touch, and be together without the usual distractions of everyday life. As the only gay couple in the workshop, we felt completely welcomed and included, and never felt that the experience wasn't meant for us.
