This clinic is hands down the best in every way. They have the highest level of compassion and care…read morethat I have experienced with and veterinarian. Since they only deal with cats, you can be sure they will get the attention they deserve. I had a senior cat that had a great deal of joint issues. They provided laser therapy that eased his pain and made the last year of his life exponentially better. I had him for 18 long and great years, I didn't trust just anyone with his care, but the Cat Clinic was the one place I felt cared about him as the sweet old man he was and not simply what profit he could bring. If you are looking for a group of people to make your fur baby feel the same amount of love as you do, this is the place! Additionally, I just adopted two sweet kittens yesterday from The Cat Clinic!

Please do not bring your beloved cat here if you love your pet! My cat Ethan, has been seen there…read moresince October 2022. We've had 8 visits, and have spent over $5,000 there. His diabetes has never been worse off, since we started being seen at the Cat Clinic. His doctor, Dr. Beachy never followed up with him despite his blood sugar reaching close to 600. As a result, he has developed chronic pancreatitis. A very painful condition for my cat! I filed a complaint, the office manager, Dustin contacted me afterwards, and apologized...stating, "historically, this is not how they treat their patients but that Dr. Beachy was the only vet there for a long time, as the other had moved out of state". I expressed that's no reason for my cat to have suffered. He was very apologetic, and was in agreement saying, "their behavior has been inexcusable". Dr. Slava had just started there and agreed to take Ethan on since she did not have as many patients. Dr. Slava is actually pretty amazing, but, she's moving to Florida, soon. I called (5/16/23) because Ethan is in pain and declining since we were just seen once again last Friday. Unfortunately, Dr. Slava is out of town due to an emergency. Dr. Beachy is there. Dr. Beachy gave the same advice advice she gives when she's too busy to see patients, "take him to the hospital". Last time, she gave this advice, it cost $1000... and all he needed was fluids. Something they're capable of doing. I give him fluids at home too, but wanted him to receive it over a few hours to flush his pancreas, and to be looked at by a vet. I was upset that Ethan was getting brushed off, once again. I was told, by Autumn (5/16/23) "since you don't like our advice don't come back here!". When I called to speak to Dustin, I was informed he was out of the country...and that, they'll be emailing me all of my cat's records. This is complete abandonment of a patient that I have spent over $5000 there in almost 8 months for them to take care of. If anything is to happen to Ethan, I will hold the Cat Clinic fully accountable. A screenshot of l've spent on Ethan there, since March ($1200!). Plus, the $1211, in January to have 8 tooth extracted! Dr. Beachy never even came out to meet me after surgery. I contacted his vet back in Missouri yesterday (after the Cat Clinic abandoned Ethan) to see if she would refill his Gabapentin (Horton's Animal Hospital (South) in Columbia, Missouri). She would not refill his medication because he NEVER had pancreatitis issues when see there for years! The Cat Clinic caused his chronic pancreatitis!!! Right before Dr. Slava left town on an emergency, she changed his insulin to Lantus. Now, he's on a new insulin that requires monitoring and the Cat Clinic has abandoned my cat! This is complete negligence and malpractice! These people should not be in business! If they can treat my cat this way after receiving thousands of dollars, they'll treat yours the same way! Run!

My experience with SWAH was excellent. I brought in a semi-feral cat that had sustained injuries…read moreduring a fight. They worked me into their schedule and even neutered him the following day. The staff is friendly and caring and the veterinarian took time to explain the course of treatment and answered all questions I had. I would highly recommend them.

If you find a lost pet, do NOT take them to Southwoods!…read more I found a sweet dog late one night and immediately grew attached. Wanting to do the right thing, I had him scanned for a microchip at the nearest vet, Southwoods. He was chipped--and that's when things took a disappointing turn. The staff at Southwoods told me they were legally required to keep him, even though I offered to foster him until the owner was located. I gave them all my contact information and asked them to pass it along to the owner. I offered to keep the dog at my home in case the owner reached out. They refused and insisted he could not be returned to me. I later discovered that Guilford County Animal Services has a Stray to Foster Program, which encourages good Samaritans to foster found pets during the stray hold period--and they even offer support and supplies. I wish I had known that beforehand. Southwoods also claimed they would take the dog to the shelter the next day if the owner didn't come, and that I could possibly adopt him from the shelter after the hold period. In reality, they took him to the shelter the same day. Based on this experience and the misinformation I was given, I would not recommend taking found animals--or even your own pets--to Southwoods. Please consider going directly to the Guilford County Animal Shelter or following their Stray to Foster guidelines if you find a lost pet.
