This summer of 2025, Heller Gas put a sub station in on Beartown Road and an account manager left a card for me to call about becoming a customer. The deal was very good and I switched to Heller. They contacted Glider for me and arranged to have the 500 gallon Glider tank picked up. I received an end statement from Glider, in which they detailed that I had a credit of $753 from the propane left in the tank. BUT, they charged me a disconnect fee of $125, AND a restocking fee for the tank of $145. $270 because I left Glider and went to Heller! I will NOT go back to Glider, even if they come up with a better deal next year, or the year after. Talk about leaving a good customer on bad terms!

From the site visit and install to the delivery of propane - all was so easy. The entire Glider staff were friendly and did exactly what they said they would do. Hooray for Glider Oil! 10 out of 10 Score in my book.

The place had a propane tank here belonging to the previous owner which became mine when I bought the place. The place was his camp at the time. Then after years of filling my tank they took my tank and regulator and put in there tank and regulator. They would fill there tank every 6 months then after years they stopped so I would be getting less then 40 gallon per year so they could then charge there $105.52 rental fee which is BS. I paid the bill and they told me when I get it switch out to call them and they would pick up there tank. I bought a new tank and regulator and installed it. I called them and told them they could pickup there tank. They told me there was a $165 charge for picking up there tank. I told them I wasn't paying them $165 to pickup there tank and I loaded it on my truck and took it to them. The lady kicked me out of her office Saying I wasn't suppose to move the tank so I just unloaded the tank which was almost empty and left. I got rid of them and will never do business with them again. This company is stealing from people! There criminals! It is what I call a snake pit. This business should be shut down by the state.

Fortunately, we have a propane-powered generator. The tank was down to 58% after restoration of the power, so we called them for a refill. They refused, saying our tank was at 70%, based on their remote reading. Yet, I looked right at the gauge and saw that it was at 58%. We asked twice for a refill; twice they refused. And now, we are without power again, and again it's a Saturday, so Griffith/Superior is closed today and tomorrow. If this power outage lasts more than a day and a half, we'll be out of propane, for no other reason than Griffith chose to ignore us; a customer who, like all Griffith's customers, pays dearly for their propane.

We fought tooth and nail over it but they basically didn't care We either paid it or get another company and pay installing new tanks etc. Now after paying it we applied for HEAP. Got 900 credit on our account they made sure to fill our tanks twice in a month and a half only putting 60-70 % in each time so they knew they would have to come back twice and use up the 900 bucks. They then call us and tell us they can't come fill it because we owe 200 bucks that we should call and get emergency HEAP. And we'll have to add a credit card or debit card on file. They got so hard up over money and the scam they pull with federally granted money that they then ask me for my OTC card number so they could try to pull funds off of that too for payment. We are changing companies or resorting to getting rid of propane altogether.
