The atmosphere is fantastic -- it truly feels like you're up north in the Northwoods. It has that cozy, laid-back ski vibe that makes you want to hang out after your runs. The food is reasonably priced and always hits the spot. Drinks at the bar are a little on the expensive side, but that's pretty typical for ski hills. I've never had an issue with any staff members -- everyone has always been friendly and helpful. Service upstairs in The Hideout can be a bit slow at times, especially during busy hours, but it's nothing that ruins the experience. Overall, it's a great place to ski, relax, and spend the day. Highly recommend -- especially if you're looking for that true Northwoods feel.

My issue was with the Anderson Lake Lodge where my family stayed for two nights between Christmas and New Years. The Lodge itself is very nice and a great place for entertaining. There were a few minor issues such as half the coffee maker not working and no heat in the clothes dryer. Don't where a good swimsuit in the hot tub as it will get bleached out and be careful because the controls are very worn. The big issue was mice. Our first morning there, I awoke to find food items left on the kitchen counter covered with holes and mouse poop. The bottom pan drawer next to the range has mouse poop in it. I actually saw a mouse in the basement both days, including the time it ran at my wife. I understand why mice would gravitate towards a remote home. What I don't understand is why there were no bait stations or traps anywhere to be found. The resort should have a professional exterminator regularly treat Anderson Lake Lodge so no one gets sick.

We found what we wanted, at a fair price, and they delivered the next day. They even took away our old sofa. Highly recommended!

In the spring of 2024, we were looking for a new bedframe for the master bedroom in our summer lake…read morehome. I stopped-into Minocqua Furniture to browse their showroom and found a few bedframes that were close to what I was looking for. Rebecca offered to help me and I pointed-out a couple of examples on their floor explaining that they were close but not exactly what I wanted whereupon Rebecca told me that they could custom make a bedframe for me so that it matched exactly what I wanted. I was delighted and spent some time going over specs and measurements. A reasonable time later, the delivery folks showed-up on my doorstep with my beautiful new bedframe, assembled it and removed the old bedframe. From start-to-finish, these folks were so great - helpful, responsive, resourceful & creative. And, on top of all that, I paid a very reasonable price for a beautiful, custom fabricated bedframe! I would absolutely do business with these terrific folks again.
