Ineptitude at its finest. My doctor sent two prescriptions first thing this morning (around 9:30…read moream). It's 3:06 pm and they STILL don't have one of them ready. They claim they never received it from the doctor. I drove back to the doctor's office and got a hard copy only to have the doctor show me the confirmation that BOTH were sent this morning. I came back to Sisters Drug and handed the copy directly to them. After waiting in line yet again, the lady behind the counter tells me "they still haven't sent it in." Ummm...I handed it directly to you a few minutes ago!! For the love of Pete?! I know they're busy with a lot going on but how inept are they? You don't remember me handing up a piece of paper literally moments ago?! I asked if they could please rush it as I was supposed to start taking them this morning. I was told it would be at least 30+ minutes. I asked to speak with the pharmacist, a manager, someone who could actually assist me. The pharmacist comes to the counter and says he can put it to the front of the line & the receptionist says it already is. I ask, "the front of the line is still going to be 30+ minutes?" What a joke of an organization. If I had any other choice I'd run there now. Unfortunately, I don't have the means to drive to Redmond or Bend. SISTERS DRUG IS SUBPAR AT BEST. I'd give ZERO stars if I could.

I am so grateful that they are still in business if only a shadow of what they once were. They are the only pharmacy left in town and they TRY. I have driven the 20 miles to the next closest pharmacy and had the same experience there that Andie C had in Sisters, except that I was left with the choice of driving 40 miles home and back or hanging out in another town with nothing to do but wait for the pharmacists to catch up.

The shop is quite big, with interesting and unique stock. A lot of the inventory seemed to be multiple versions of the same type of gifts, and unfortunately nothing available matched what we were looking for in our gift shopping. I bought a vintage pearl snap western shirt for my daughter who shows heifers in Texas. The shirt was very reasonably priced and it was wrapped so lovingly in tissue and placed in a bag. It was gift giving ready for my daughter! Inside the bag was a wonderful print out on card stock with the history of the Western Pearl Snap Shirt. How cool! This shop gets a 10 out of 10! I visit Sisters annually to visit my brother and this will definitely be my 'go to' shop for great finds! While there, great music was playing and I asked who it was. I considered buying a serving bowl for my sister but wasn't sure if she'd use it, and I know my nephew and mom considered buying her some sort of garden item. Staff was friendly and not overbearing. There's a little area where you can buy drinks and maybe some small bites, and they have a nice deck out front to sit and relax. They specialize in hand carved furniture (bed frames, dressers, rocking chairs, etc.) in pine and juniper. The item that keeps bringing me back are the juniper lamps. It is a gorgeous naturally twisting wood with several textures and no two are the same. This always reminds me of someone describing how they carve a statue -- you just remove the extraneous material to reveal the true structure beneath. They also have a lot of whimsical items - birdhouses made out of boots, painted saws and wood hammers with funny sayings. ------------- Update: They moved across the street to 121 W. He was the only one in the store and while he was about 10 feet away, the husband (owner?) says loudly to his wife "If you see him stealing, just holler at me.". Mind you, he does very well financially and could have bought anything he wanted in that store. But he's a humble tradesman and still wears his Carhartt's everywhere. I guess he doesn't fit in with the typical REI crowd in Sisters anymore, talk about profiling. It's a shame we are now treated this way, I remember this town being a low-key country town. Won't be returning.
