Another thing I love about this bookstore is that staff members handwrite notes about books they enjoy and attach them to the books. It's a thoughtful touch that helps connect the right readers with the right books. Near the checkout, I also noticed a sign reminding dog owners about the dangers of hot asphalt. It's a simple reminder, but it speaks to the community-minded spirit that seems to be woven throughout the store. Will we be back? Of course. The guy I asked for help was SO friendly. You could tell he really loved his job. He helped me find what I was looking for. The girl at the counter was super nice, too. I wanted 1 of each champion deck, a Proving Grounds box set, and 10 boosters. The owner told me he would order the product for me and I could come pick it up as soon as they got it. On release day, they called me to pick up my product, but only had each champion deck and the 10 boosters, which they charged me MSRP for. Caleb, a very nice guy at the counter stated that they didn't have the Proving Grounds set, but it was in the warehouse and would be in their next shipment. Totally understandable. 1 week later, I go into the store to purchase the Proving Grounds set that they ordered for me, except they wanted to charge me $80 dollars. For a $30 product. When I stated that was way over MSRP, the owner stated it was half the price of what it was going for online. A 267% markup. When everything else they sold me at MSRP. Would I have paid $40? Sure. $50? Probably. But don't piss on my head and say it's raining when I say $80 is too much. Never going back. And neither should you.
