If you are looking to cut your own tree, keep in mind that most of the farms have been struggling due to the drought in the last couple years. The place itself is easy to find if you follow the Yelp directions. Parking lot is tiny, so arrive early or you can park on the side of the road. Just be careful crossing. The selection of trees available for cutting were diverse but not a lot of trees to pick from. They have a large lot but many trees were too you to cut. Photo op on the lot across the road, too. Set up all Christmasy for your enjoyment. Be specific about directions when you have them cut and trim the base. We were not and they end up cutting a good piece and we were left with the baldest spot. It ruined the tree. They were fair enough to comp the tree and trade it for a pre cut one, however. It turned out nice because the pre-cut ones look in better shape. Not many farm are left where you can do your own cutting, so we may give it a go next year. Hopefully the young trees will be bigger then. read more

Beautiful trees and you can even cut your own! We didn't go that route, but we loved the tree we ended up with. Reasonable prices, delivery available, and they will even flock the tree for you! Best of all, the tree has held up so nicely! Our last few trees from other places have gotten so dry and dead after just a week, but our tree from Christmas Ranch has lasted for and still looks brand new! We will definitely be back next year! The final product of a beautiful tree was 5 Stars! They have some great, fresh trees w/ the option of pre-cut ones or grabbing a saw and trimming your own down. The process of actually getting a tree was a bit convoluted. Granted I know it's a crazy environment with lots of people asking a limited amount of staff for help, but there was no system for getting assistance. it's more a 'everyone for themselves' place, which made it a bit frustrating when you're also trying to distance from others and be respectful. Once we did get help though, it was a smooth and easy process to show them the tree we wanted and to check out. Again, the end result was worth it and the trees are beautiful! read more

I was looking for a Christmas tree fresh cutting experience for my me and my large family. We did look at a couple of places but did not find that the tree selection was large enough however what ended having me decide on this location was their operation hours which were later closing hours for us. Although the trees where not necessarily pretty as the one you usually buy in the Christmas tree stand shops, it's was more that anything the experience and we ended buying 5 Christmas trees. We would definitely come back next year to do it all over again. Btw, representatives there were great and with a very nice attitude, except when they did not let me park inside with my Isuzu NPR crew cab truck to transport all my family. read more

This place is the best!!! A little hard to find but worth it! Smells amazing on the lot, had a great selection and everyone was VERY helpful. Think three separate guys asked if we needed help and we were already getting help from one briefly after looking. Didn't get the guys name that helped us but he even went in the back to look for the perfect tree for us. They grow the trees on the lot and u can even cut your own. Although we didnt go that route hehe. Found the best looking tree I've ever had and they shook it and cut it for us. A little on the pricey side but worth the tree + service. This is our go-to place to find a tree in the Conejo Valley. It's fun to cut down your own, and because they're fresh, they never dry out before Christmas. Trees under nine feet are $45.58, or over nine feet they're $65.00. You can find a coupon on their website for $2 off. They have some unusual varieties that are really beautiful. Unfortunately, no on who was working at the time was able to tell me the species. Everyone is very friendly and helpful, and they'll carry your tree to your car and tie it down for you. Twine is free, as are coffee, cider, and hot chocolate. They have wreaths, garland, mistletoe, and water additive available for purchase. We took our 7 year old to cut down her first Christmas tree with my mom and it was so much fun. The staff was friendly and helpful and approached us when we arrived. We were told the prices of the trees and went into the farm to find one. They gave us a saw and a Christmas tree cart to carry it back. We had a great time looking for the perfect tree, as soon as we found it and cut it down we took it back to pay for it! We were told "Merry Christmas, your tree has been paid for, and we're told once a day they give away a tree and we were the lucky ones today!! Found this place thanks to a recommendation on the Nextdoor app. We decided to go for a pre cut Nordmann Fir. Noah was extra helpful and very knowledgeable about the trees. He helped us choose a beautiful one and set up delivery for us in the evening. The tree arrived, they set it up, and out they went. The whole experience was a total breeze and the tree is just gorgeous. We're very pleased and would recommend to anyone. Ask for Noah!! (PS, including delivery and all costs, our 6/7 tree came out to about $140 -- well worth it for the incredible tree and convenience of setup and delivery). read more

Visited the tree farm for the first time tonight and had a fantastic time! We were greeted right away and provided a lantern shown where to grab a saw and tree cart and pointed up the hill towards the trees. Took our boys and they loved it, such a special experience. Right when we got back to the main area an employee helped us get it shook out and netted. While we paid there was coco and tea, candy canes and coloring books for kids. It felt very cozy, comfortable and welcoming made me happy with the decision to support a local business and grateful for a new tradition! read more

Our usual tree farm had three-foot high trees this year. Not sure what was going on there. So we found this location as an alternative. It's a tree farm grown underneath power lines. It's a good use for land because living and working underneath power lines is notorious albeit perhaps unproven to cause health problems, including potentially cancer. However, shopping at this tree farm on a Saturday didn't seem to affect us, didn't affect us or cause any effects, effectively, no effects, without affection. In other words, wee seam too bee fhyne. Anyway, they were doing nonstop business the second to last weekend before Christmas. Folks were driving their vehicles up, affixing trees to their vehicles, and then going home with what appeared to be smiles or general delight on their faces We went up the hill looking for a beautiful tree to become a family member from the moment we decorated the tree with care and placed it on an elevated perch in the center of our living room where we admired it and gave it frequent water to keep it healthy to the few days after Christmas when we tore it down, chopped it up and left it at the curb for the sanitation department. The tree farm offered a variety of pines: Douglas fir and Noble are probably the ones we saw. Not sure, not a pine tree expert. Like a modern day Paul Bunyon, I chopped down the mightiest tree using a borrowed bow saw. The forrest's tallest tree, or a delightful looking six-footer that we knew would fit comfortably in our home, was ours for the taking. Once the tree was smote and conquered, I grabbed the tree by the base, swung it about and delicately put it on the metal frame wheelbarrow to take it back to the entry shack. At the shack/register, they offered an assortment of services including tree shaking from a machine, netting and a base. Coffee was another option. We had a kind young man, probably from a local high school, help us trim the base and net the tree. He probably spent about 20 minutes tying the tree to the roof. He used a lot of twine and anchored it primarily on one side of our vehicle. He pulled and pushed on it, left and came back with more twine. I helped however I could. I appreciated the care he put into it and tipped him generously when he was done. Unfortunately, on our way home on the 23 and 101 freeways, the tree started to drift. It started to move to one side of the car as we could tell by seeing it through our sunroof. This was most unfortunate. My wife was concerned. It was slightly windy but here we were about to dump a Christmas tree on the 101 freeway. While the local radio sig alert notifications would have a fun time reporting a fir on the freeway, CHP and the people in the high-end vehicles behind us wouldn't find it so amusing. My wife had me hold the tree through the sunroof for assurance and so it wouldn't drift too far. We had to take streets. My shoulder hurt for a while and I noted that I may need arthroscopic shoulder or Tommy John surgery after holding the tree for miles. I don't blame the kind young man who tied the tree to the roof. But lesson learned -- one is responsible for securing one's tree on one's roof. We'll probably return to this tree farm next year. And tie our own tree to our vehicle's roof. read more

Great little place with the freshest trees at very reasonable prices. The tree lot is in the middle of Pederson St right in the heart of a residential neighborhood. Everyone seems really nice and in good spirits. The place is nicely decorated and has a very nice and pleasant feeling to it. It's quaint. The team was friendly and really helpful. We bought a grand fir for $47 and the needles were so soft and the smell was amazing. So so pretty. They also gave our little guy a coloring book which he was super excited about. We bought a really nicely done garland for $3. We would have never known about this place had it not been for Yelp. Glad we came here. It was our first visit here and we will be back! read more

This is the second year we purchased our tree from Christmas Ranch. They have the best customer service and they really care. This year we got our tree pretty early (before thanksgiving). The actual tree farm wasn't open yet but they still had a great selection to choose from. They keep all the trees freshly cut and in water to ensure the quality of the trees. They delivered the tree and I noticed the bottom wasn't cut enough to my preference. I reached out to them & they sent someone out right away to fix it and made sure we were happy. The owner genuinely cares about the customers and the workers there are always super helpful and friendly. Thank you Christmas Ranch, we're looking forward to many more holidays with you. read more

If your looking for a higher quality tree come here! Great place to get the perfect Christmas tree! The staff is very friendly. They keep their trees in water so they don't dry up. You don't need to worry about loose needles landing on your floor either. These last like 30 days plus and they are stay dark green. Just make sure you keep them watered when you take them home. If you bring your tree stand to this location, they even mount the tree on it free of charge. They will also help you load in onto your vehicle as well. Need it delivered, they do that as well. My first visit to Christmas Ranch Tree Farms was last year when my son and Grandson were ready to buy a tree. I'm not much for cutting down your own Christmas tree but was VERY impressed with their selection of ready-to-go trees. This year I went back there for my own tree, a 40 minute drive from where I live. I went at noon yesterday, December 1. Since it was so early in the season, the tented area was only about 75% full of trees. I walked around a while, and young man approached to see if I needed some help. I told him I was looking for a 9-10 foot tree but wasn't seeing "the one". He offered to pull out some new trees and asked what kind I liked, and I pointed to a smaller version. I followed him back to where they keep the trees and was very impressed to see the tied up trees all vertical and standing in water (NOT just stacked horizontally on the ground like other places). He pulled a tree, cut the netting, cut a couple of inches off the bottom, drilled a big hole so that he could set the tree in a stand with a spike for me to inspect. It was PERFECT. He then took the tree to the "shaker" that shakes out any debris/loose needles, re-wrapped the tree in netting and laid it in my car (a Suburban). I also bought a wreath, which is lovely. We took the tree home, set it in our stand and decorated it. It is by far the most perfect tree I've ever had - beautifully proportioned, fragrant, FRESH. I will never shop anywhere else. read more

Let me start by letting you know the manager, Jeff, told us that we were (and I quote!) "a fucking joke". The reason is when the tree was cut the guys helping us were helping to make sure the tree would not fall over and in that it took a little bit of time. Since the manager was annoyed he walked by multiple times huffing and puffing and letting us know the tree is what it is. Again, the guys helping almost had it so the tree wouldn't fall over on our kids and dogs and at that point Jeff (who when asked his name wouldn't give it to me and said "Santa clause"). He then walked over to us and said "what a fucking joke" to my husband and grabbed his drill from the hands and kicked us out after cursing us out. When asked "what his problem was" he proceeded to tell me he didn't curse. Many witnesses and children around. There aren't many places in LA where you can go and cut down your own Christmas Tree. The Christmas Ranch Tree Farms offers lots of options. They have pre-cut christmas trees in the very front, and then on both sides of the road you can wander the "forest" and find your perfect tree! The staff is very friendly and the prices are reasonable. They will shake and net your tree for $2 each, totally worth it. We cut our tree (under 9 feet), had it shaken and netted, and purchased a stand all for $65. read more
