They're polite, respectful, friendly, very knowledgeable and always willing to offer any help if needed. 3rd, they carry a great variety of products from animal feed to weedkiller, to nuts & bolts. If you can't find something, I'm sure that 1 of the employees would be glad to help you out. 4th, their plants, flowers and trees are just beautiful and lively. We've never bought something we planted that died. The young lady that works out in the nursery area, is always a sweetheart. She makes the trip worth it. 5th, prices may be a little higher than a big box store, but remember you're shopping at a family owned business. If they don't have what I need, I can order it on-line (or they will order it for me) and it comes to the store for pick-up at no additional charge. What's not to love? Another big "plus" for me is that it is a locally-owned store (as are all Ace stores). Everything they sell is grown right on the premises, with a heavy emphasis on natural fertilizers, and on perennials that are chosen to survive our local climate. They sell a good selection of annuals in season as well. As I said, it's a bit off the beaten path: find Port Road on Route 12 between Binghamton and Chenango Forks - across from the Holy Spirit cemetery, on the same corner as the Sunoco station. Turn north and climb up the hill. Keep climbing and just about when you think you've missed it, you'll see it on the left side.
