I saw Dr. Murphy today because of an issue with my right 3rd toe. He was amazing! He made me feel at ease and very comfortable. He explained everything to me in normal terminology. Loved Dr Murphy! He explained everything he was doing, talked to me like a person and I was BLOWN AWAY that during my first ever visit they filed my nail, razor scrapped my foot.. DID SOMETHING to help my issues rather than looking at it once and then telling me to come back for another appt to actually help me. I've never once been to a first appt and had a dr do anything other than look at me, ask questions, then charge me and tell me to schedule another appt so they may actually help. I was incredibly impressed with how enthusiastic he was about his work, and the fact that he explained so much to me, it was refreshing to be treated like a person with a brain instead of a time slot with a billable insurance. read more

My parents, ages 92 and 86, have been a patient for a year or so. I took them to an appointment last week and when the nurse came into the waiting room to call us back she did not have a mask on. Then as she walked us back to the examination room she came in the room and when I asked where her mask was she responded by saying Dr Murphy did not require anyone to wear masks. I definitely told her that we had on masks to protect her so I'd prefer it if they wore one to protect us.... she said she wasn't worried because she'd been pregnant during covid but she'd tell the Doctor. Minutes later Dr Murphy came in and was obviously upset but did have a mask on. He was rude, anxious, and downright mean to my parents. When my parents tried to speak he cut them off. It was more than obvious he was angry due to having put on a mask. My parents health during this time is extremely important and yes, I'm cautious. When it's something you can do as simple as a mask and for a medical doctor to ignore the science of a pandemic is beyond me. My 89 year old father in law went in for an appointment when Florida had thousands of Covid-19 cases each day, and people were not wearing masks at Dr. Murphy's office. Further, I called the doctor to complain about putting his patients at risk, and he did not return my call after two weeks. I finally got in touch with the reception desk to leave another message and complain, the receptionist told me they have no mask requirements in place at this office. Such irresponsible behavior by a doctor amid a national pandemic is unforgivable and places patients at risk. read more
