Highly recommend this Radiology location for MRIs…read more Easy Langone portal scheduling with plenty of time availabilities daily, from very early to very late, before/during/after any work schedule. Kept super clean, well lit and organized, down to the temporary lockers to hold your stuff and temporary waiting areas. Staff was clear with directions/instructions and all things checking in/out, beginning to end. Would consider utilizing this location for any future imagery needs. They quickly send your pictures directly to your Langone portal test results area and were super clear. The tech quality of the images is better then I've received before at other locations. Thay have plenty of covered, but wide open garage parking and automatic doors, elevators, restrooms and such clearly marked making this location accessible for all.

I had a 3:15 PM appointment. I waited in the lobby until 4:15 PM with zero communication about any delays. I was brought into an exam room, had my vitals taken, and was left sitting there for another 30 minutes. At 4:45 PM, an hour and a half past my appointment time, I had to leave. The support staff here are excellent. Crystal was very helpful in setting everything up, and Cheryll at the front desk was compassionate, respectful, and apologetic as she processed the refund for my co-pay. Dr. Linzer, however, was incredibly unprofessional. While I was at the desk, she came out looking visibly agitated. Instead of apologizing for the massive delay, she abruptly demanded to know if I was leaving or wanted to be seen. When I told her I found the wait and the experience disrespectful, she immediately cut me off, cited "emergencies" in an aggressive tone, and quite literally stormed away. Given how I saw her handle this situation, displaying a complete lack of poise and compassion, I am truly glad I didn't receive any medical care from her. I would strongly encourage anyone considering using her as a physician to take that into account. Her time is not more valuable than her patients' time. If you want a doctor who treats you with basic professional courtesy and respects your schedule, look elsewhere.

I get that there's usually a wait when waiting to see the doc but this is a bit too much. On top of the extensive wait, Dr. Walker and PA April Lowery are no longer here and neither is the very pleasant woman with glasses that used to be at the front desk, I think her name was Juanita. All three of this women were very good also. I think Dr. Reed needs to revamp her staff and find a way to make visits more efficient for the patients.

You can't get through to a live person after waiting on hold for 5 to 10 minutes, even if you're calling from another physicians office. They never return your phone calls and now the only way you can actually get a return phone call is if you book an appointment online. Other than that, you'll never hear from anyone. Over the years the service was never this bad and they recently closed the Garden City location for renovation purposes. I live in Long Island and now have travel to Queens (20+ away by car), is a headache. Plus there's no parking because it's a residential area and other surrounding businesses. I took a chance and parked on the sidewalk because I have handicap plates. smh..

Thus, I am personally pleased that there still exist physicians who are compassionate and interact with a patient's best interests at heart. One such physician is Dr. Rupal Shah. Dr. Shah took care of my mother until her death at the age of 99 years. Dr. Shah made home visits, was open and frank in her discussions with family, discussed expectations, special treatments and comfort measures. She went out of her way to keep me, an out of town family member, in the loop. Dr. Shah was calm and warm. She was medically up to date but kept her treatment plan simple. When my mother first entered Dr. Shah's care, she reviewed and simplified Mom's medications. She was always available, and when appropriate, suggested hospitalization. Dr. Shah's outstanding home patient management resulted in only 2 hospitalizations over the years. This woman is the kind of physician I would want to care for me and my family if I were in New York. Thank you, Dr. Shah.

Having just relocated to a brand new office space on Merrick Road, The Doctor's Office of Merrick…read morestands as a beacon of old-fashioned care in an era where medical visits often feel like hurried transactions. From the moment you step into their new location, you're wrapped in an atmosphere of warmth and efficiency. The layout of the clinic is a testament to thoughtful design, seamlessly blending modern amenities with a comforting ambiance. It's evident that every detail has been meticulously planned to enhance the patient experience, from the cozy waiting area to the well-appointed examination rooms. However, what truly sets The Doctor's Office of Merrick apart is its exceptional staff. The front desk team greets you with genuine smiles and treats you like family from the moment you arrive. They go above and beyond to ensure that your needs are met, tirelessly assisting you until your issue is resolved. Personally, I had a medication which was sold out in my usual pharmacy. Not only did the front desk staff make suggestions of not one - but 4 local (smaller) pharmacies - but they even provided the phone numbers and told me which ones would deliver my medication! They asked if I needed any assistance with having them call to check the medication's availability - and, after I'd told them that I could handle making a few calls - they followed up to make sure I was all taken care of. (I must say - I felt as if I were a family member of the staff, with the attentive way that they treated me.) We went back a few weeks later - just to have my son get his eye looked at after an allergic reaction - they saw him right away - got him some eye drops and had the note ready (for school) before we even checked out! In a world where impersonal medical visits have become the norm, the level of care provided by Physician's Assistants Shane and Patrycja is nothing short of extraordinary. Their dedication to each patient is palpable, as they take the time to listen attentively, thoroughly assess your concerns, and provide personalized attention. What's more, they have a remarkable ability to remember each patient, fostering a sense of continuity and trust that is rare to find. Founded by Dr. Mark Haltrecht, this is an office filled with medical professionals who get an A+ from me in bedside manner and professionalism. The Doctor's Office of Merrick serves as a poignant reminder of how doctor's offices used to be in times long gone (although I'm sure they won't take a chicken or an apple pay in lieu of payment!). In an age where convenience often surpasses compassion, this clinic remains steadfast in its commitment to patient-centered care. It's a refreshing departure from the cold and rushed approach that has become all too common in walk-in clinics today. In the current day and age, where people go to walk in clinics for convenience and in order to see a medical professional quickly - that it has devolved into a conveyor belt style "get them in and get them out" type business model where there is very little bedside manner or caring. The Doctor's Office of Merrick truly bucks that trend. In conclusion, if you're seeking a medical practice that prioritizes compassion, thoroughness, and genuine human connection, look no further than The Doctor's Office of Merrick. Here, you'll find not just healthcare providers, but compassionate allies dedicated to your well-being.

Also I found one of the receptionist rude and entitled with attitude which I noted a few of the girls quit and the present one there now has stayed but picked up the 1st girls attitude. 2nd when they start making mistakes that's a red flag for me. They arranged for a bus pick up and on the day of my appointment cancelled the bus without notifying me. Next. I asked for private paperwork for the authorized doctor? to sign and fax. My personal private paperwork was faxed to who knows where! And mist likely Ms. Attitude front desk receptionist is thebone who faxed it! No receipt, confirmation, nothing. Actually that is a HIPPA violation. They could not locate it! Now the final insult., After two months of not making an appointment I decided to make the appointment after being called by them a dozen times. It was a rainy day and I drove over five miles away , made it there 15 min. Late. Office had no clients waiting I could see , I checked in, sat down, and the one receptionist attitude called the doc. turned to me and said the doctor cant see you because your late!! That was it. Never went back and had my information transferred to the Freeport location until I could find a decent primary care doctor. I would advise people to also check the background of any medical physician assistant, doctor. What hospital did they learn, practice, licensed from. I found this particular medical employee was associated with a hospital that todate has low ratings and less then quality care , Far Rockaway, NY. Get a personal primary doctor via trusted referral, background checks, and where were they educated and obtain their license. Seniors tend not to speak up or advocate for themselves, trusting anything a medical personal tells them and are not assertive. Bottom line these pop up centers are there to make money via referral systems for one.
