She was so preoccupied about how much time this would take for me to find a bike rack downstairs due to "back to back" appointments. Why the f**k would I trust her word regarding the safety of my precious bike. After suggesting I come back another day, guilting me into "I drove here for you," and saying she called her next appointment to push to 9:40am (she did not since I was in front of her the whole time) ontop of me being desperate after a bad week, I suggested to put the bike inside her office which she agreed to. Looking back, I should've left because the purpose is to heal and how can I with this energy. And so begin the awkward convo about why I wanted acupuncture. She couldnt understand or pick up much of what I was saying due to lack of English so things I said I had to repeat or she didnt hear at all. Never go to a doctor that doesn't know your language fluently because then how are they supposed to treat you? Overall it was a quick 20-30 min acupuncture in a dark tight silent room. Shortest session I've ever had but she insisted "it's not about the time, it's about the results." Stayed on the table beyond my appointment time since she said her next appointment that she was preoccupied about "cancelled." She also mentioned right off the bat that she only accepted cash, which was not communicated when I booked the appt. The length of session was also not communicated prior. Anyways, if I had to run and go get cash, this would've been another reason she would've suggested "I come back another day." On top of that she didnt have full change so I get the vibe she was lying about the card machine not working...racism? Maybe but looking back on this, it seemed she was lying about many things and searching for any reason to not treat me. A waste of $75, but actually $77 since she didnt have enough change. Offered $2 off in next visit but I won't be returning. I would love a refund.

I came in seeking treatment for my stiff neck and shoulder pain. Ming was friendly to greet me as I walked in, sat me down as I explained my issues with her. She nodded, then pulled out a ONE FOOT long needle and stuck it in my right forearm "horizontally" halfway up my forearm to my elbow. She explained this was a new treatment and it would only take 1 treatment to cure my issue while she wiggled the foot long needle in my forearm. May I remind you, my issue is stiff neck and shoulders, there's nothing wrong with my forearm! I have to admit, I was nervous going in due to my phobia with needles. But many of the Yelp reviews I read all raved about how painless the procedure was that I had to try. So my body went into shock and my hands went into a "rigor mortis"-like state where they clamped up and curled into fists. Ming stated I need to relax or else the treatment wouldn't work, but at this point, I had lost control of my body. I explained to Ming that maybe it's my phobia and nerve that caused this. Ming then stated in Chinese to me "You are such a delicate flower who can't endure pain. You must be so spoiled by your parents." .......um.....who says that?!!?!?! especially to a patient in pain and shock???!?!?!?!? Also, Ming did not have me complete an initial questionnaire nor did she work with my insurance (like other yelp reviewers stated) so I had to pay full price. At that point, I just wanted to get out of the place due to the traumatic experience. This is the 4th day after my treatment and my forearm is in extreme pain. I cannot lift heavy objects, cannot put any weight on it and I am feeling a tingling sensation down my finger tips. I suspect the foot long needle has hit my tendon or nerve. I went in expecting for some kind of relief for my neck and shoulder pain and instead what I received was ridicule and a injured arm.

This place is awful. They work on the sunk-cost principle. You first have to go have an interview…read morewith the office manager, where he assures you how much cheaper their services are than a regular doctor's office. Then you have to have an appointment to establish service. During this appointment, they literally will NOT talk to you about any medical issues you have or any prescriptions you might need. You're supposed to make another appointment for that. This first appointment is just for the APRN to nod her head while you go over your history. They make a big deal about being cheaper than doctors, and it's true, their actual visit cost is less. However, you'll quickly find (if you pay out of pocket like we do) that they have "procedure fees" for everything. For instance, at the doctor we eventually found, I only pay a $35 nurse fee for vaccinations, but at Park Wellness, I was expected to pay the regular office visit fee PLUS an additional amount for a procedure fee, which brought the total to MORE than a checkup with the doctor. Not only that, but I was flat out told that they charge MORE for a procedure fee for people who pay out of pocket than they charge insurance companies. The office manager, who is related to both APRNs and is therefore likely there to stay, is a rude jerk. I'd say more, but frankly, I have so little trust for this place that I don't want to say enough that I can be identified. This was one of the worst "doctor" experiences I've ever had.

Both APRN's that work at this office truly care about the well being of their patients, they will call and check in after an appointment to make sure you are recovering. During your appointment they listen to all of your concerns and with you come up with an action plan to address the health concerns you have. They do keep you accountable on your end of the health plan, which in my option we all need. I have recommended them to many people and will continue to do so.

I walked in today this the second time I have walked in for a scheduled appointment and told I didn't have appointment the office staff said I had a new patient appointment today but that it was canceled and I said why would I have a new patient appointment if I have seen her before then they were on the phone and talking about September and sending me to urgent care. The last time I was suppose to be seen and I walked in they said oh we called (no voicemail) she had a family emergency then they scheduled me a month out to today. I had ultrasound and it says my liver is enlarged and I have no follow up to go over reports and still majorly struggling. It sucks even my mental health appointments have not been happening and my medications not filled. Then I called for a refill of prep for colonoscopy and scope and they didn't even refill the liquid so I'm sitting here like what do I do? How can I even get help. Horrible and while I was in there another female walked in complaining the same thing with medication issues and appointment issues. I told them just cancel all future appointments that I'm moving to Texas for better medical care I truly pray this office improves how they care for their patients.

She changed my life…read more I first started seeing her when she was with Psychiatrists and Associates, and I followed her to her own private practice because I trusted her that much -- and I still do. When I first came to her, I thought I already knew what I needed. I've had ADHD since I was 5 and was originally treated with Ritalin. I stopped treatment as a teenager, convinced I didn't need meds anymore. Years later, in my 30s, I went through a really rough time with anxiety and depression and tried a bunch of SSRIs with awful side effects. Nothing helped. Eventually, a doctor suggested my anxiety and depression might actually be symptoms of untreated ADHD, and he started me on ADHD meds. He was right -- the moment my ADHD was treated, my anxiety and depression basically disappeared. I stayed on that treatment for a few years and then stopped. Fast forward five years -- symptoms were creeping back in, and that's when I found April. I gave her the full backstory, confident I already knew what worked for me. But she didn't just take my word for it -- she really listened to both what I said and what I didn't realize I was saying through my symptoms. Based on my responses and behavior, she suggested starting with something to treat depression. I was hesitant -- I reminded her that SSRIs had never worked for me. I never received a confirmation from this place and never received information regarding a lack of referral. When I attempted to make another appointment, I was told that she couldn't provide the earliest opening until she received a referral. I stated that she was punishing me for what the doctor did. And why could I not make a appointment now and call the doctor for another referral. She stated essentially "tough luck." I don't need this type of headache.
