I also have had several virtual consults and phone appointments, PRIMACY to discuss the ketamine lozenges I take which which prolong the infusions. I also have a wonder compounding pharmacy in Berkeley, California, who fill the scripts, and who are incredible, make it so stressless. I receive the lozenges 36 hours after they post them, and I am in Honolulu! They are accessible via email and phone....And does this efficiency and professionalism cost more...N0, including shipping it is half what one pharmacy charged, and 1/4 th what another charged!...and others with similar cost, were impossible to reach, and packages took 3 to 5 days to reach me. She was so preoccupied about how much time this would take for me to find a bike rack downstairs due to "back to back" appointments. Why the f**k would I trust her word regarding the safety of my precious bike. After suggesting I come back another day, guilting me into "I drove here for you," and saying she called her next appointment to push to 9:40am (she did not since I was in front of her the whole time) ontop of me being desperate after a bad week, I suggested to put the bike inside her office which she agreed to. Looking back, I should've left because the purpose is to heal and how can I with this energy. And so begin the awkward convo about why I wanted acupuncture. She couldnt understand or pick up much of what I was saying due to lack of English so things I said I had to repeat or she didnt hear at all. Never go to a doctor that doesn't know your language fluently because then how are they supposed to treat you? Overall it was a quick 20-30 min acupuncture in a dark tight silent room. Shortest session I've ever had but she insisted "it's not about the time, it's about the results." Stayed on the table beyond my appointment time since she said her next appointment that she was preoccupied about "cancelled." She also mentioned right off the bat that she only accepted cash, which was not communicated when I booked the appt. The length of session was also not communicated prior. Anyways, if I had to run and go get cash, this would've been another reason she would've suggested "I come back another day." On top of that she didnt have full change so I get the vibe she was lying about the card machine not working...racism? Maybe but looking back on this, it seemed she was lying about many things and searching for any reason to not treat me. A waste of $75, but actually $77 since she didnt have enough change. Offered $2 off in next visit but I won't be returning. I would love a refund.

When I first came to her, I thought I already knew what I needed. I've had ADHD since I was 5 and was originally treated with Ritalin. I stopped treatment as a teenager, convinced I didn't need meds anymore. Years later, in my 30s, I went through a really rough time with anxiety and depression and tried a bunch of SSRIs with awful side effects. Nothing helped. Eventually, a doctor suggested my anxiety and depression might actually be symptoms of untreated ADHD, and he started me on ADHD meds. He was right -- the moment my ADHD was treated, my anxiety and depression basically disappeared. I stayed on that treatment for a few years and then stopped. Fast forward five years -- symptoms were creeping back in, and that's when I found April. I gave her the full backstory, confident I already knew what worked for me. But she didn't just take my word for it -- she really listened to both what I said and what I didn't realize I was saying through my symptoms. I walked in today this the second time I have walked in for a scheduled appointment and told I didn't have appointment the office staff said I had a new patient appointment today but that it was canceled and I said why would I have a new patient appointment if I have seen her before then they were on the phone and talking about September and sending me to urgent care. The last time I was suppose to be seen and I walked in they said oh we called (no voicemail) she had a family emergency then they scheduled me a month out to today. I had ultrasound and it says my liver is enlarged and I have no follow up to go over reports and still majorly struggling. It sucks even my mental health appointments have not been happening and my medications not filled. Then I called for a refill of prep for colonoscopy and scope and they didn't even refill the liquid so I'm sitting here like what do I do? How can I even get help. Horrible and while I was in there another female walked in complaining the same thing with medication issues and appointment issues.
