I have had hypertrophic breasts since I was 12 and never had the financial ability to get a reduction. My cervical spine hasn't had the proper curve since I was 24, there's an inward curve to my shoulders, and I have pain in my daily activities due to the weight and awkward size they have grown to over the years of stress and average life changes. When I finally had insurance who would partially cover a reduction *IF APPROVED* and only *after* a consultation with a plastic surgeon, I was referred to this person. Upon my visit, I was bombarded with the exact opposite of the visuals I needed emotionally and there was ONE bit of photo evidence to view of a reduction he had performed, as opposed to literally everything else you can imagine that makes one "prettier." During my exam, his vocal inflection was quite bored and annoyed. When discussing my weight, I explained my history of poverty trauma, the recent losses of three immediate family, my struggle with PTSD and depression, and that exercising is incredibly difficult with my breasts being so large for my 5'1" body. Immediately after this exact statement, he was taking my measurement around my ribcage under them and said, "Underneath all this, what is your true band size?" to which I had to clarify. "Do you mean under my fat -- what was my band size when I wasn't as fat??" and he said yes. I was hurt and disgusted, but answered anyway, clarifying that my band size on my current bra is irrelevant anyway because it accommodates the width of the cup I need. He didn't respond, was quite blunt during his assessment about what could be done, and when I requested a certain size, he basically said "not possible." This exam was in summer of 2019 and after being rejected by the insurance, I told this office I would not need their services again, nor do I want their future mailings. The insurance company gave no particular reason, but I had suspicions... I wrote it off as my bias making me angry and decided not to leave a review. Until today, when I received a birthday wish randomly from their office via an app called Kareo. Meaning this office retained my information, gave it to a third party without my consent, and ON MY BIRTHDAY, I get to sit here and relive being emotionally harmed by someone who is supposed to "remember that there is art to medicine as well as science, and that warmth, sympathy, and understanding may outweigh the surgeon's knife or the chemist's drug." Very cool. Great experience. Totally worth it 4 years later.

At first I was honestly nervous about changing my body forever. When I finally went for my pre-op consultation with Dr. Drehsen, I felt totally reassured and totally in the best hands. Dr. Drehsen not only saw, understood, & carried out my vision, but he had one of his own that, in the end, really made the difference. My belly and my breasts look like a horror movie. I looked much better before I even had the surgeries and he still would not acknowledge that I had an infection. I could've died. it. the case hard to prove because he's a liar and made all the clinical notes look perfect. He does not document all of the things that goes on in the office to patients when no one's around very scary, beware. my left breast is bigger and very high. My right breast completely has no nipple or areola whatsoever and the hole is still healing with hospital care weekly 6 months later. Its life changing, he should not be able to practice. His assistant gave me her cell to correspond and told me send picture. I sent her pictures of my breast and she responded and as soon as I started sending her the pictures of it getting worse and kept saying there is an infection what shall I do, he denied infection still and she blocked me. I have the phone records. I called them from the emergency room and he told me I should've never went to not stay in the emergency room leave the hospital they don't know what they're talking about and I don't have an infection. Hospital said I needed around the clock iv antibiotics and admitted me. sadly I'm still being treated, but I'm alive to share this so you think twice before going to this Clinique for surgeries.

I called the office, explained my situation and that I had my implants removed in 2015 and asked if it's possible to still have breast implant illness. Whoever I spoke to basically talked me in to a consultation with Dr. Soler and since he doesn't take insurance, the consult fee was $75. Everything I read on the website led me to believe that Dr. Soler is THE BII SPECIALIST and I figured it would be worth a shot to see if I could finally get some answers. I showed up 2 minutes past my appointment and had the office calling me to see where I was (parked out front of the office). I paid the consult fee and when Dr. Soler's assistant took me back to a room, she said "so you're here for a consult to remove your breast implants?".... Ummm noooo. I made it very clear on the phone before I scheduled the consult that they were removed in 2015 and confirmed this again when I checked in, before paying the consult fee. When it was all said and done, I got no help and am now out $75. And when you're living on social security, $75 is A LOT of money. Please be careful if you're interested in scheduling a consult for breast implant illness if your implants have already been removed. There was zero reason for them to schedule a consultation so the doctor could tell me that he couldn't do anything to help me rule out BII or in general!!!
