Wow!! Do not go here!!! Dr. Price is a joke! Not a real doctor who has compassion and care. I feel used and like they were only after the insurance money they received for every visit. I am so disappointed with the service I had received over the years. I time and time again would try and be understanding of this doctors schedule but to not see me after I have been trying to make appointments for several weeks is beyond me. The receptionist + manager were beyond unprofessional. If you want to be cared for and treated professionally and like an actual patient I WOULD NOT GO HERE. If you want to actually be seen by a doctor I WOULD NOT GO HERE. If you want to be treated with empathy and compassion for your ailments I WOULD HIGHLY RECOMMEND YOU DO NOT GO HERE. My experience at Dr. Price's practice has always been supportive and professional. I often saw Nina, the PA, and she was great too. It was nice to have a couple of medical professionals who could discuss a situation and concur on a course of treatment if that is what is needed. After about 15 years with Dr. Price we are FINALLY able to get out and I could not be happier. We started going to Dr Price as a family ages ago when he was on J Street. I was kicked out of the practice pretty early on because I called one day when my toddler son was sick and the person answering the phone was so callous and insensitive and rude. I asked to speak to her boss, she told me she didn't have one and THEN she went to Dr. Price and lied and said I cussed her out. Apparently other patients have had this experience based on other reviews. So a week later I get dismissed from the practice via letter because, apparently, their staff know that if they don't like a patient they can lie about them to the doctor and get what they want. Ok. The really stupid part is that my kids still went there AND I showed up with them all the time and that office manager apparently didn't realize it. So apparently I'm not that much of a threat to their staff? LOL Due to insurance issues, we ended up keeping our kids w/ Dr. Price because it seemed easier. Honestly, over the last 10 years, it's just been to check boxes and get vaccinations and referrals for REAL help. When Dr. Price moved to Scrips drive, I think we we saw him 3 or 4 times in the last decade? Maybe? We got transferred to the NP, Nina, who is rude, condescending, and has a terrible bedside manner. She's not a good listener, and isn't great with kids. It was a nightmare going to deal with her. It was so cringey every time I had to go in there and just smile and nod to get out as soon as we could. Whatever they have going on with their records, it's a joke. One time I went in and asked for my sons vaccinations records and they gave them to me on one page each, so I practically ended up with a book. When we gave those records to a Sutter doctors office, they had a heck of a time making heads or tails out of those medical records. The office staff have mostly been rude, unhelpful, entitled, and unpleasant to deal with. They take forever to return calls, don't seem to be very organized, it takes forever to get records or help. It's just a LOT of work to deal with this office, and the people aren't even very nice. Very rarely, a nice person ended up at the front desk, but they didn't seem to last very long. I wonder why... As an HR professional, going to this office has always been interesting. Dr. Price CLEARLY needs management and leadership training and they desperately need a company culture overhaul. As a patient, we FINALLY got our kids moved to Sutter and it's such a weight off our shoulders. It's a real bummer, because we started with Dr. Price because we liked the idea of getting a smaller office and more personalized attention, but that could not be further from reality. I get much more quality care from my Sutter doctor, who is kind, thoughtful, and has a great office staff and robust, competent records management. I wish they would read these reviews and consider how harmful they've been to the families they work with, but I suspect they'll keep on doing what they are doing. read more

First, I had been a patient of Dr. Price up until recently. With this office, it's okay for you if you want to only see a nurse practitioner. In the 10+ years that I was a patient of Dr. Price, I think I saw him fewer than 5 times. It's also not atypical for you to have to wait at least a week for an appointment depending on who you want to try and see. I hadn't actually realized how much I had converted to using telemed appointments until the last straw today. A lane was shutdown on the freeway this morning, so despite my best efforts to arrive early, I realized I would be late. I called the office to let them know that I was trying my best but could be 15 min late. They said something to the effect of "oh that won't work... would you like to try a telephone appointment?" "Sure, that would be great," I said as I continued to drive to the appt. They called back minutes later to say, "that won't work either; we're going to go ahead and cancel your appt." "Well, wait, traffic picked up and I should be able to be there just 5 minutes late... I'm literally on the street of the office right now." "No, sir... that still won't work; I've cancelled the appt." ... "May I please speak to your office manager?" The rest of the conversation was a bit more frustrated on my part, and I finally turned back while standing in the elevator of their office... at 5 minutes past the beginning of the appt. So lesson learned... if you're going to see Dr. Price's office, don't be courteous and respectful because they will not show you the same in return. read more

I love this office! Dr. Price is a wonderful MD and Nina is a wonderful NP! I have recommended several friends and family to this office. I can always get an appointment when needed, referrals are sent if needed and I feel Dr. Price and Nina really take the time to listen to my problems and talk with me about them. Dr. Price and Rebecca are amazing and so are the staff. What I love about the practice is that it is definitely a one stop shop. They are a family practice which makes it easier for everyone to be seen. Tera, Anna, and Jeannine have worked for Dr. Price for a while and are all wonderful people. They have same day appts. if you need to be seen. If you have an appt. the wait times are not long. I've been in and out. They really take the time to listen to your concerns, and Dr. Price doesn't chance it. He's very thorough and covers all the bases and addresses all your concerns until you are comfortable. I've also called if I can't make it in to get advice and they're very prompt in returning your call. Additionally, if you are seen by an urgent care - Dr. Price calls to follow up on your visit to the urgent care to make sure that you are treated correctly. They are all very caring and helpful. They call to confirm your appt. and are open to rescheduling if need be (if its last minute). I have also worked closely with their billing department to understand what insurance does and doesn't cover. Geri is great! It's definitely a great family practice! Bleh! Belck! Blah! Ugh! ARGH! I continually ask myself, why am I still a patient? One word: lazy. Its easier to deal with thier incompetencies than go search for a good doctor. Why is it so hard to find a reputable, good doctor when you are an adult? I wish I could go back to my pediatrician. The only semi decent thing in this office is the PA. Although she gave me a medicine that I was allergic too, I know she had no idea. She tends to be friendly and ask questions, but half the time I don't think she's actively listening. I think she's worried about what's next, what to prescribe, and how to get to the next patient. I've written a letter of complaint and Dr. Price himself even called back, but it still didn't make me feel any better. When he basically laughs in your face at an appointment and says there's nothing to be done, its not the warmest feeling. Needless to say, they don't have much going for their practice. Go figure, their receptionist must have to have skills at something other than being a receptionist. No ranting, but let's just say she confuses quickly. Make sure have her repeat everything back to you, but she'll ask you the same thing about six times, so don't worry - it's a delightful conversation. First of all if you are a pretty female client, there is a drama there. The NP was so mad at me, she wanted me to cancel my appointment. I kept this issue with my self and my friends/family as I wanted to respect Dr Price. I had multiple health concerns that needed to be addressed but Dr Price was careless. He will see me then do nothing! Last year, my knees hurt and I was not able to walk or drive, he sent me home with order for pain cream which the order was a wrong one anyways: then pain continued, made another visit, he sent me steroid tabs. Knees pain got worse, after a month, he wanted to order X-ray!!!!!!! Somehow he ordered MRI: MRI showed cyst but he never want to do anything for it. Its been a year now that, I can not bend my knees, painful driving and sitting. I always updated my friends after this MD visit and they felt like I was discriminated. read more

I wanted to give a shout out to Christina at Dr. Price's office. I've been going round and round with my prescription renewals at CVS Pharmacy and my insurance company. For some reason, medications that I have been taking for over a year all of a sudden are not approved through my insurance company. Christina from Dr. Price's office has gone above and beyond trying to correct the problem through no fault of her own or Dr. Price's office. She spent many hours on the phone with the pharmacy and the insurance company until the problem got corrected. She kept me informed regularly until the problem got resolved. All healthcare workers are extremely busy at this time due to the coronavirus and that did not stop her from taking care of the problem. I cannot thank her enough. read more

Read between the lines on the negative reviews. There is a class of patient well know to medicine who are basically whinners. They are narcissists with their world revolving only around them. Dr. Price is great if you enjoy waiting and not being listened to. I was a patient of Dr. Price for about 4 years until I got sick of his ways. I was always waiting to be seen.....up to 1 1/2 hours later than scheduled. This was a consistant thing. His receptionist, Ericka, was very rude and never called back. He was great if you like being prescribed pain pills, but if you want to actually fix your problems, you are better off diagnosing yourself...cause he won't listen to you. i switched after I was in a car accident and was ignored on many of my symptoms. Just got out of an appointment with Dr. Price, and after some very trying experiences with other "medical professionals" I can say with confidence he is one of the best doctors in the area. Yes, you will expect to wait 30 mins to be seen, BUT that's because he's actually giving each patient his full attention. He is patient, concerned, and caring. He doesn't condescend and he treats you like a real human, which can be absent at bigger hospitals. He listened to my problems, made plans to get an ultrasound, and even explained to me the timeline he wanted to see, and told me to feel free to call if that wasn't met. I've been seeing Dr Price for several years. Really cant think of a single complaint. He's pretty proactive and diligent when it comes to any issues I have. He's also quick to refer out to a specialist when he realizes it's beyond his expertise. I do miss his PA Angelica though, she was awesome! As the previous couple of reviewers have stated, I've never had to wait more than a few minutes and the staff is a delight. Since 2001, Dr Price has been seeing my kids. He has the kindest disposition and helpful knowledge. For parents of a newborn, he was soothing and reassuring. Awesome Experience Today with Rebecca - Very professional with the bedside manner of a Nun. Thorough and listens to every word. Very caring and compassionate. Office Staff - They work there as if they were volunteers - welcomed with a smile and eagerness to help. Not many office staff seem happy with their jobs these days. Usually acting as if frustrated with their job - get paid minimum wage and would rather deal with something else - other than patient care. This team has been hand picked by someone who loves their job and demands nothing but 100% excellence in those they hire. People who love to help and really care/enjoy dealing with people. If I were a rich man and had to pay for 100% of my own health care - this is the practice I would choose. This review is exclusively based on the office staff, specifically Christina and Janine the supposed office manager. My experiences with the office have been the worst, starting with a ton of back and forth with misleading information regarding a prescription and being hung up on for no apparent reason. When I addressed this with Janine it was basically my word against her and apparently I supposedly called her a name. Are you serious? I'm an adult I don't have to curse someone out because something is wrong. The customer service is beyond atrocious. I am disappointed since Dr. Price seems like a good doctor but the office is ruined by unprofessional people. Constantly dismissed at this office and help I could have received two years prior to the time I actually got help (elsewhere) was delayed due to constant dismissal of symptoms. Foggy thinking and lethargy was dismissed as simply needing more sleep (no tests for deficiencies). I had to fight for tests that would explain my intense and multiple joint pain. RA tests were reluctantly provided with a parting comment of, "I don't know why you want rheumatoid arthritis, its expensive". As if I want a disorder, I wanted and needed someone to help me troubleshoot and address my issues. When my heart began speed racing, having palpitations, and blood pressure rising from my normal they (Dr. Price and Nina) didn't even see me, talk to me, or run any tests to rule out life-threatening disorders and they failed to send a referral to a cardiologist. Thank god Mercy takes self-referrals (even with a PPO a person can't just call a cardiologist to schedule an appointment, I was reliant on them for a very important referral and they failed). Over the phone they diagnosed me with anxiety instead and told me to come in to talk about anti-anxiety medication. The scheduling staff over the phone has always been condescending and rude as well. When faced with a medical crisis this apathetic attitude is crushing. Ignoring me for two years led to the evolution of a major illness that put me out of work for 6 weeks and they couldn't have cared less, there were no follow up calls even after two ER trips. I found help elsewhere and am functioning great now because I looked for someone else who actually listened and took me seriously. If I could give zero stars, I would. And as if anyone needed anymore info on why to steer clear from this office, they are extremely behind in technology. Hard copies of everything, and no online patient portal. With a PPO this makes it difficult to coordinate with other specialists and have an integrated care team. read more

I have been a patient there for almost 5 years and have referred at least a dozen friends and family to them, all who come back with the same positive experience. I never have to wait more than 10 minutes to get in and always feel like I am listened to and taken seriously when I see either of them. I love the white board method that Doctor Price uses also... It helps me remember all of my thoughts on why I am there to see him. The best thing is how excited he is to tell you that you have lost weight! Diabetes and obesity are his two passions and he really makes you feel good about your accomplishment, no matter what the amount of pounds lost! This review is for NP Nina. I had a new patient appointment and one of my issues was persistent eye itchiness and irritation. I had been taking antibiotic drops for suspected pink eye for about a week; while my eyes were better than when I started the drops, they were still itchy. Nina didn't bother to examine them and told me that the problem was probably due to me not taking the drops as regularly as I should. But this progression of symptoms felt different than the last time I had pink eye a couple of months ago. When I got home I realized that my tear ducts were clogged which was causing the irritation. A simple examination, which was part of why I was in the doctors office, would have been helpful. Why am I doing my own examinations after an appt with the doctor? The other issue I had was the lack of compassionate response over a request to do a hormone test stat. I'm ttc and right now these tests are the only way I can tell where I am in my cycle. OTC isn't working for me right now bc of an elevated lh. I'm still waiting for a referral to my RE (who told me I need to monitor via bloodwork) and in the meantime I need real time results bc ovulation doesn't wait. This office's lab (Quest) can take 3-5 days to result, unless the office orders the labs as STAT, something they refused to do. I don't feel that my unique situation as a patient was considered. I'm almost 42, so I don't have time to spare and every month counts. Instead I was given a protocol response: "We don't do these tests stat." read more

Like family" and that's the absolute truth of everyone in his office, from the receptionist to his former PA Rebecca and current one Nina. Another poster said that someone must be choosing caring people, and we know that is Dr. Price himself! And not only are they caring, but also responsive in every possible way, from following up on new medications to quick call-backs to me. This review is only about some of the office staff and more specifically Christina. For years my husband has complained how rudely the staff treats him when he has questions . I chalked it up to a potential language barrier on his part. This morning he dealt with Christina and called me so frustrated so I made the call for him. I experienced Christina's rude and condescending tone first hand . I treated her with kindness and thanked her for the help she provided thinking this might change her attitude, it did not. She talked down to me, interrupted me with her Mam, mam . When I had to call back a second time and ask to make a change with the pharmacy she told me she didn't have time and it was too much of a hassle (for her to do her job?) We had just hung up with her 15 minutes prior after she advised she didn't know how long it would take to get it called in to the pharmacy. Dr Price, we have several family and friends who come to you. Each of them speaks so highly of your care. Christina is NOT an employee you want representing you unless you don't mind loosing clients. Maybe record her calls so you can hear it for yourself. I feel sorry for elderly patients who have to deal with her. She definitely does not belong in this industry. read more

He asked me about my concerns and listened then...he took the time to do a thorough exam and encouraged me to take charge of my health. This doctor is truly awesome. Dr.Price is an awesome doctor! I think Miss M. didn't get what she wanted or was having a bad day. Anyone who has seen Dr.Price knows he would rather find a solution to your problem than mask it with pain pills, as he is not a fan of narcotics. My family and I have been patient's of Dr.Price for years. He always takes great care of me and my family. There is sometimes a 30-45min wait, but once it's my turn he always takes his time to with me and listens to me. Dr.Price really cares about his patients and he is the best! read more

Dr. Price solved a longstanding problem I had with my knees that other doctors and consultations had not touched. PA Rebecca helped me with wrist and dermatitis issues and prescribed just the right thing. I've recommended them to everyone I know. All the staff are great listeners. read more

I don't like the new location at all, he moved today. It is very hard to get to and in a scratchy part of town, there were folks hanging around outside the building today that made you wonder why he would move into that building. Then when you leave, you better not be going back to the downtown area, because getting back to J street from this location in traffic is horrible. read more

Dr. Price is my favorite doctor ever and I'm in my 60s. So, I've had many different doctors. I'm shocked by the negative reviews. I have never had a long wait. Dr. Price is a great listener and has been very helpful to my husband and myself through many issues.When I first met him I did not want to shake hands as my right hand was swollen and sore. My prior doctor said it was just arthritis. Dr. P did not think so and immediately had it x-rayed. It turned out to be a rare condition (Kienbock's disease) that required surgery. He referred me to a hand surgeon that day. I highly recommend Dr. Price. read more
