Of course, she complained to the staff. That was the only time I had an issue there. I admire and do like & trust Dr Fusco, and definitely feel I'm in good hands, as far as, my oral heath is concerned, and I'm very finicky about what dentist I want working in my mouth, and on the teeth I have left. My only complaint is I wish he would spend a little more time with me and let the patient talk/explain before he lets the hygienist gag me and goes to work. I do feel a bit rushed, in all honesty. Maybe I wouldn't have a first failed, or reinfected root canal had I been able to elaborate more about the the ongoing sensations I was feeling on this tooth not long after the initial root canal? Now, as luck would have it, there is pain that I'm feeling on what I thought was an successful initial root canal a few years ago, or so. Apparently, the tooth or canal has become reinfected and I can't afford to loose the tooth, nor hopefully, even the crown that was put on after the initial root canal, not that long ago. I'm hoping Dr Fusco himself can do a root canal retreatment so he doesn't have to farm me out, unless it will require an endodontist to do the surgical and/or more complex procedure to remove the infection/abscess and save the tooth. I can't afford to lose ANY more teeth. My last resort is to extract and lose the tooth. I lost enough molars since I was kid from being afraid of the dentist & the novacaine injection, at least, when I was younger. Hopefully, this reinfected tooth can be addressed by retreatment or apicoectomy, if even necessary, as the tooth canal has now definitely become infected or reinfected but this slowly happened over time and I began noticing a numbness & tingling in this tooth not long after the initial procedure? Now, it's just pain and discomfort as I'm writing this, especially, if I press/bite on tooth or push on the gums way above the tooth. I will be seen soon. Hopefully, this problem that slowly surfaced with this tooth, is rectified and resolved. ‍

Since then I have been working with a couple of top-tier Periodontists that are significantly more expensive to try and repair the damage, and the experience has been a lot better. Unfortunately, the repairs so far have cost nearly $18k, and I have another repair surgery scheduled for next month which will cost another $8k. Bottom line - based on other reviews, I thought I was going to be in good hands, but please do your due diligence. It has been a long and awful journey. I hope others don't have the same experience.

He saved two of my teeth, the first was infected and had an abscess and I was told by my general dentist it was impossible to save and I need to have it pulled immediately and replace it with a dental implant. Dr. Vosoughi worked his magic and cleaned out the infection, redid the root canal and saved the crown. In the process he also saved me 6500 dollars by avoiding the implant process. This was 4 years ago and the work has held up nicely. In addition I also had another infected tooth which was a tooth that had a root canal 28 years ago and again he worked his magic and did an apicoectomy and saved the tooth. This was 3 years ago and this tooth is holding up nicely as well. He is also really good with follow-ups; I have been back multiple times in both cases so he could check to make sure the tooth was good. I have been in jersey for 14 years and have had really bad experiences with dentists and doctors and have written a lot of bad reviews. I figure it is equally as important to let people know the great dentists/doctors as it is the horrible ones. So if you are out there and you have to get endodontic work done, you go to Dr. Vosoughi and you will be in great hands. They proceded with the first half of the root canal. Then, they basically said I shouldn't have it finished because it'll probably need to be taken out anyway... so, just find an oral surgeon. Due to lack of guidance by office personnel (she had recommended some over-the-counter meds for pain but refrained from telling me not to take it before my scheduled appointment which was the next morning!), the initial consultation was deemed "inconclusive". I rescheduled and went to my car. I noticed a swelling and called and asked if I needed antibiotics. I had been tasting a bad bacteria taste as well. They said I didn't need it. By that night, full blown absess (on weekend of course). Had to go to emergency dentist on Monday morning and got prescription. Subsequently, made it back to next consultation and they proceeded to do partial root canal as I noted. Procedure went fine and then was told I shouldn't bother having it finished because I would probably need the tooth taken out anyway. (I overheard the same conversation in the next room.) I just want to help people in my situation. Endodontists are paid to do root canals. Dentists do the fillings, crowns, etc. Oral surgeons extract. They all do their individual procedures and most do it well. Just review all your options and make your decision.

At first, because it was my first time to Dr. Yukin, it was difficult to know how things would turn out. I was afraid.
