I would highly recommend The Chronic Effect if you're looking for an outstanding event anywhere, they were very reasonable and very easy to work with and provided all the music and more in which we requested. This review is way overdue, however I needed to write this because "The Chronic Effect" put out some Great music, MC'd, and provided awesome lighting for our wedding reception at "Epic Steakhouse" on the Embarcadero in San Francisco. Colin and Ian are an awesome team, they showed up ahead time with an awesome Top of the line professional sound system that totally worked in our venue, without affecting the rest of this upscale restaurant. They were more than flexible when we needed to make any musical adjustments during our reception, and made sure it was stress free, quick set up and tear down was awesome, they more than exceeded our expectations, and should we have any type of party, event, or special occasion they would be our only choice. If you've looked around like we did prior to our wedding, you'll find some DJ's which are just ridiculous, not only with their pricing for playing music and lighting, but with their attitudes, you won't get this with The Chronic Effect. What you will get is more than and fair price for some outstanding professionalism and a great package for your event. Use The Chronic Effect!!! I used The Chronic Effect (TCE) for my wedding last weekend. Colin and his crew were extremely helpful and responsive over email and Thumbtack. The quotes were super reasonable relative to other vendors, the speakers and sound quality were much better than alternatives, and the crew they sent out to manage the event was great - not only did they arrive on time and set things up quickly, they stayed through the entire event and even helped with miscellaneous stuff like putting chairs away at the end of the night. Colin also offered to come out and do a sound pre-check weeks before the event, which gave me the confidence in the sound system. Our wedding had two components - a ceremony which had a microphone for the officiant, and two microphones for two singers and an amp for the guitarist - Colin helped us figure out exactly what we needed for the day of and also had tons of other options from wireless microphones to clip-on head mics. All in all, the wedding was a huge success and the sound was a really big part of it. They were also much cheaper than other alternatives - Sonoma county loves to gouge you on prices especially for weddings, and TCE didn't! read more

chromatic events made a wedding video and did lighting for my wife and I's wedding. All I can say is Ian was AS GOOD AS IT GETS! chromatic events was sooo easy to work with, EXTREMELY reliable, very professional - their lighting was incredible and added so much to the dancing at our reception. They even helped me set up speakers and microphones - something they were not contracted for!! So many of our guests have commented on what a fun atmosphere we had because of their laser lighting. These guys are fantastic!!! They provided the emcee for my wedding this weekend, along with a staff of four others to help with set-up, take-down & general labor during the event. Their prices were very reasonable, compared to other quotes, and I can't say enough good things about their professionalism before, during & after the wedding. I was the bride and there is nothing better than to be able to feel confident in everything that is going on around you on your special day and they were a big part in making this happen for me. I absolutely loved LaDarius (Emcee) and he did a great job as far as I'm concerned - making sure to draw in the crowd and continually mentioning the bride & groom's name (including my NEW name) and making me feel extra special at all times. Ian and Colin from Chromatic Events were a charm to work with. We had our wedding in Vallejo and they arrived from Sebastopol in Vallejo earlier than contracted. They setup quickly and were very professional, the sound quality was awesome and they adhered to the volume requirements fantastically.
