(limited parking and overall set-up just to name a few)... and not to mention that for the price of two adult tickets, a whopping $74? It was HIGHWAY ROBBERY! The advertising for this exhibit promised awe and wonder and what we got was anything but. First and foremost, I gifted this experience to my mother because she has always wanted to see Michelangelo's work in Italy and I thought this would be "the next best thing." Much to both of our dismay, it was FAR from it. Secondly, you are REQUIRED to download an app in order to interact with or get information for the pieces in the exhibition. You then use that app to scan QR codes throughout the exhibit that have been paired with each 17 foot rendition of the Sistine's panels.....but please be advised, the audio for this is not only cheesy... but borderline CRINGE. Not to mention, that although you are expected to bring your own headphones for this audio tour .... If you don't, THEY DON'T CARE. Let me explain....they tell you upon checking-in to download the app and use your headphones but in the same breath, if you don't have any.... that you can play it out loud too if you'd like.... Now, imagine being in the MIDDLE of your own audio for a piece and someone walks up, scans the QR code and begins blaring the same audio again from the beginning ...and you can no longer concentrate on what you are hearing because you hear THEIR audio as well. It was a horrid set-up. This happened no less than three times throughout the self-guided tour. There are very few places to sit for those who have trouble walking.... there are no bathrooms anywhere in the vicinity of this exhibition and there is no clearly defined path to explain where to go, which led to a lot of folks milling about, clumsily crossing over one another to scan the darn QR codes and with a 50 / 50 chance that the individual in question had no headphones.... you will end up disappointed in the experience as a whole. You are honestly better off going to a real museum or saving your money for a trip to Italy. HARD PASS suggested to anyone debating coming to this exhibition....

The event is in one big auditorium with large fabric printed and back lit pictures in the arrangement of the original chapel. They upsell with audio tour device and drinks, which I don't mind, but it can get pricey relative to listed price. Also museums have a lot more for less, so they're not really competitive. However, they will be packed up quick since this is for a limited time only (high pressure marketing, again!) All and all, maybe going proves I'm an old soul as I was younger by many, many decades than everyone else... In other words, the vibe I got was that Tom Selleck was going to sell me a reverse mortgage as I was exiting through the gift shop...

Visited right during the Festival & so glad I did! * Staff: Was greeted by John Paul, super kind, friendly, & knowledgeable * Location: Part of the broader complex housing LG Public Library & Friends of Library Bookstore, making it very easy & convenient to park + visit all 3 * Layout: Museum is spacious with well-organized salons with a range of exhibits & collections, incl. rotating exhibits, a children's section with hands-on areas for learning & crafts, and great collections of local LG history * Highlight: The dedicated Mukwema Ohlone exhibits were especially fascinating & offered a deeper insight into a portion of local history we were very regrettably not taught. We stumbled across this museum while searching for new opportunities through our local library's Discover and Go program. If you aren't familiar with this program, you are advised to check it out because it provides free or reduced admission at many places around the Bay Area. Anyways, three of the four of us were able to score free entry, and the fourth got in at a reduced student rate. Regular admission is $10 as of this writing. There was ample parking in the lot on this Saturday afternoon. The person at the front desk was super friendly and chatted with us about the current exhibitions. There was a fascinating exhibition of the multimedia works of Jody Alexander, who took the cloth bindings of old books and incorporated them into new works of art, sometimes with the Library of Congress call numbers still intact. Also on display were the art of Thomas Campbell (including delightfully chaotic installation piece) and the photographs of r.r. jones of the people he met on his travels. It was well-curated with excellent and easy-to-read descriptions. The basement of the museum focused on the history of Los Gatos and the surrounding area. There are various relics of the town and the area's past, and the story of Mountain Charley and the plight of the Muwekma Ohlone tribe. All in all this was a wonderfully engaging museum and well worth a visit. Check their website for opening hours and current exhibits, and do check out the Discover and Go program for other cultural opportunities.

5 stars because it's free and I enjoyed my time…read more Pretty chill art museum I liked all the variations of soccer balls and one painting really caught my attention. I appreciate that it is free. They close early so go before 5pm. I was late and only had 30 minutes to end it that was enough time. I ended up sitting outside and just journaled about my day. Such a relaxing evening.

Momstera Lounge is at the end of the little downtown, so it was fun to walk around and made the most of our long drive. I know nothing about art. I know even less about technology. So when ZERO1 combine the two, you bet that I will be the last one to race here with open arms, and if I do, I will have no idea what I'm doing. So as I'm standing there, swirling my glass of white wine, a young dapper of a gentleman who works for Zero1, comes up and asks me a few questions about what I though about one of the art displays. My wine-swirling wasn't fooling anyone as I answered with half mumbled, came-out-of-my-ass words, and he stared at me with askew-ed eyes, questioning my (non-existent) credibility. I collect myself quickly, ask HIM what exactly I was looking at, and he proceeded to elaborate eloquently on the inspiration, purpose, and design of the piece. I quickly thank him, bid him adieu, and walk back to the food table-something this Yelper knows how to do so well! But in all seriousness, ZERO1 is a great place, and I hope more people will find out about it and visit, especially those who have an eye for art and technology !
