Got my tongue pierced 3 days ago here and it was a great, quick, friendly, and sterile/clean environment. I was super nervous (even though I literally have 10 other piercings), but he was really accommodating, chill, and gave me a min to breathe/calm down because my tongue would not stop shaking haha. I got my first tattoo here. I liked Jason a lot. I got two others here after that, third one by his Aussie buddy who was really cool. This was a while back in 05/06 for the three. I forget what the minimum was.. I think $50. My tats weren't big, I didn't pay much at all. I actually lucked out on #1 and got below minimum since it was so small. Thanks!! I was taken by a friend who got her work done there; word of mouth is the best way of publicity. I haven't been back but I would put that in the places I would go for a future tattoo. Pretty small, doesn't need a lot of space though. The rooms are private and it was very clean when I was there so I'm guessing it still is. I'll have to stop in one day and take a peak. My good friend lives over by there now. Easy location to get too, parking could potentially be difficult if you don't know the area but side streets work wonders on parking (although now they've put in more permit parking in that area.. so maybe I take that back haha). Anyways, worth a shot going. It's small but does the job and he is really friendly.. and good looking from what I remember. read more

After losing my nose piercing twice I decided to go here before the hole closes up. He used his own jewelry, which is so much more user friendly!!! If you get the usual one with the twist on the inside, it's impossible to put it back in if you have the slightest swelling. He bends his own. So not only does it stay in place, it's easily put back in. Wish I'd gone there right away. read more

I had two positive experiences and one horribly bad one that assures I will NEVER go back to chromatic. I called for an appointment, told Jason exactly what I wanted, and showed up for my appointment. He was smoking a cigarette inside when I arrived, and stood in the doorway to finish his cigarette while looking at the picture of what I wanted done. While he finished his cigarette I walked back to the bathroom... there were empty beer cans all over the floor as well as a 6 pack of empty glass bottles. There was a trash can with ice and full beers in it too. He told me I couldnt get it written in mirror image, because it would be too hard for him to do and no one else would be able to read it. He said he couldnt see the picture of the flower I had, and could draw two petals if thats all i wanted. At that point I got my picture back and left. Like I said before, I have two other tattoos from Chromatic and love them, but my guess is that he was too drunk to tattoo me anyways. I will NEVER go back to Chromatic!! I went to STINGRAY in Allston, and they were awesome, did exactly what I wanted, and were as professional as can be. read more

I am a former art student and therefore am very picky about the artwork that goes on my body. The detail and shading of this tattoo were out of control. If I could have given this place no stars I would have. I have no idea why everyone is saying Jason is so great and good at what he does. I asked him for help putting in two earrings in my rook piercings and first of all, right off the bat he insulted the jewelry I had picked. Second of all, he tried twice and after he failed he said "this can't be done." Wow. Very professional. Not to mention how craptastic the place looks. It should be condemned. Jason helped me tattoo over a scar on my arm and it came out perfect. I'd post a picture if I could. I came in and told him what I wanted to do, came back in a few hours, and he had drawn it up. He let me pick out the music I wanted while he worked. It only took about two hours for him to bang out a large, detailed tree on my forearm, and the price was not outrageous either! I walked in off the street yesterday and I met Jason for the first time. I was all stressed out, hyper, nervous about a medical issue and decided on a whim to get a tattoo. Jason could have taken advantage of me in the condition I was in but he talked to me and wanted me to relax, calm down and come back the next day and do something very special instead of the crazy idea I had, if it wasn't for him I would have made the biggest mistake of my life but instead he gave me the coolest ideas and didn't rush me and the reason I'm telling everyone this is because of him not taking advantage of me that shows that he is one hell of a man and an artist and because of that I would never go anywhere else and I would highly recommend him to everyone. Jason has excellent customer service skills. I first went to him almost 8 years ago, about a year after I got my tragus pierced at another parlor. That whole year I struggled with soreness, infections, and an awful keloid scar despite doing all the recommended care for my piercing. When I went in to see Jason, I was sure I'd have to get rid of my piercing, but instead he changed out the earring to one with a higher grade surgical steele. He told me the one I had in my ear for the year had a ton of nickel in it despite my telling the previous parlor my allergy to nickel. In no time at all my tragus piercing healed and the keloid completely disappeared. I just went back to him yesterday to change out my earring again, and he took the time out of his day to not only change my earring out but also make me feel completely comfortable doing so. This is the only place I trust to get my tragus earring replaced! I will definitely be back. Thanks again Jason! read more
