Being in food service in my past, I would advise against drinking from their pop machine. I tried to get my girls milk, and I was advised that it was expired, so our second choice is water. I could taste the mold in the water. Usually caused from a lack of cleaning. read more

Landmark Review This was our final stop on our trip to Bloomington. I don't understand the very low reviews people are giving for food as this is Chucky cheese. The pizzas have actually improved considerably since I was a kid. They have actually improved their rides and they have ample amount of ticket games. For one token which is around $.25-$.35 depending on how many you buy your kid can ride on the motorized rides that usually cost you a dollar or more. They have arcades and the classic arcade games such as skeeball. Although the ticket prices are just as cheap as before the kids still love him. I drove from Champaign and came on a weekday to this location. I loved how the location is near a lot of other stores/places that aren't in Champaign so I could swing by before I head home without doing too much traveling. The staff were normal - not too enthusiastic, and not too mellow. There are no blind spots in this chuck e cheese so I could sit at the booth catching up on texts/emails while the kids were playing. I took my boys here and we spent the whole day here. When I say the whole day, I mean we came here before the afternoon and left before sunset. The kids were not bored at all and had a great time. So pleasantly surprised to see a renovated Chuck E. Cheese. No more tickets, just use a card that is reusable an tracks points. Fairly decent pizza. I feel there has been a vast improvement over the past years. Kids enjoyed it. Pleasant employees as well. Was at ChuckE on my grandsons 2nd birthday June 18th. The pizza was good. The appetizers were a joke. Purchased the sampler platter. Barely a handful of fries, 4 hot wings and 5 bread sticks. YES that is all you got. Then we bought 3 large specialty pizzas. They forgot one. So it came out 30min after the others. Then the large cookie cake was so late we just took it home in a box. There is literally nothing to do for 2 year olds there. They took down the tube tunnels and the ball pit. I will give them this the service was friendly and attentive. The main areas were clean. The staff is always friendly and smiling, it's clean, the games are fun and there is plenty of seating. If there was a way to give this no stars or negative stars, I would. They are rude and the food is nasty. Also, apparently they treat special needs customers VERY poorly. I saw it talked about on the news and online. I am not special needs but I see no reason to patronize a place that does not help or discriminates against the most vulnerable in society. Drove here for my sons birthday. It was on a Saturday and arrived around 11:30? No call or reservations.. just winged it. From our first impression, it looked really clean. We were VERY hesitant because of all the bad reviews. The games were fun for the kids. Food was good and we had a pretty good time, overall. The service was really good. This place is pretty pricey. A salad, per person, is $7.99 I believe? We used coupons that were online. Overall, the birthday boy, kids, and adults were pretty pleased. There were other birthday parties going on and it was separated pretty good from where we were. Kids got to meet Chuck E. My in laws and husband walked away from it saying how impressed they were. I would definitely recommend it. The only thing I'm not fond of is where the place is located. I feel as though it's in a pretty high trafficked area for cars where the entrance was. Make sure you are carrying or holding your child's hand before you exit. read more

Filthy restaurant. We arrived for a party early on Saturday, shortly after they opened. You would expect a clean location; but not here. There was leftover pizza crust in the children's shoe storage bins. The men's restroom was abysmal. The toilets were both stained with fecal matter and dried urine. This is the worst place for customer service both at the local and national level. The pizza is the worst in town and while they do have a play area, there are other places to take your kids to play. They treat people with special diets and autistic children like they were second class citizens. I will never set foot in that place again EVER! I assume they get their customer serv skills from corporate and I spoke to some extremely rude extremely unprofessional woman on the phone and its no wonder this place has only 1 star by other reviewers. We paid for the buffet (two adults, 1 kid) and 4 drinks, which came to 38 dollars. Buffet doesn't include tokens. The reason for the low review has nothing to do with the facilities or games. Those are fine. They had one pizza out on the buffet. We said asked where the rest was and she said "we can make you something if you want." It is supposed to be different pizza's, breadsticks and desserts. There never was any desserts. No biggie, we didn't need dessert. Although this was a special treat so it would have been nice. They made a second pizza, which took a half hour. Keep in mind, this was a small to feed everyone at the buffet. They made one thing of breadsticks about 20 minutes after that. Just had my 4 year olds birthday there and the staff went above and beyond to make his day special. Systems went down so it took a little longer than expected to start the games. It happens! The staff came out and played games with the little ones while waiting for the computers to reboot. All staff was friendly and professional even when faced with a challenge. Great attitudes! This is obviously not the kind of place anyone would come to for a fine dining experience & I would certainly not recommend the food-my family and I only made that mistake once. As far as the cleanliness of the restaurant, I honestly have not had the same experience as the other reviewers. I have only brought my family here on the occasional weekday & have only been once on a weekend so maybe this is why my experience was different. My children love the games & always have a great time here. If you keep your eyes peeled for coupons you won't spend a great deal either. I was most impressed with this particular establishment when I attended a birthday party with my daughter here. There were four parties taking place simultaneously, yet for the most part, they seemed organized. The best part by far was the employees. We decided to spend a fun day out with our family this past Friday affernoon. My younger kids have not been back to see chuck e. in quite some time. We were a party of 7. We ordered 2 pizzas and 7 sodas and a basket of fries. I saw the pizzas arrive at the table but not the fries. On my way to the counter to ask about the fries I got a bit distracted but finally made it there. The young lady behind the counter assured me she would take care of it ASAP. My 7 yr old and I played a quick game then headed back to the table. A dirty blond haired woman approached me and said "why did you say there were no fries on your table? They are right there, on your table, I brought them out right after I brought out the 2 pizzas, they've been sitting right there for awhile now. I looked and sure enough they were there. I either missed seeing them earlier or they weren't there when I looked. I apologized and was about to walk away when he asked me again why I said the fries weren't there earlier . I again apologized and said I didn't see them there earlier. I'm not sure if this woman was a manager, but she was incredibly rude. I sure hope this behavior isn't seen as ok, because it Def isnt.
