Once upon a time I was the owner of a PlayStation one and over the years It got misplaced. I've been telling myself for a while to try to find a way to get another one but with new games and consoles being introduced all the time, I feared that I would never be able to find an original classic. When I googled play station one in search of trying to find places that sold them I was led to this place. I looked at the reviews and they seem to be a spot that a lot of people approved so I decided I'd give them a call. When I called them and told them that I was looking for an original PlayStation one, I was immediately surprised that they had it. Not only did they have it, the price that they were selling it for was extremely affordable especially in these days and times. But before I could commit to buying it I had one more question for them. The number one game that I love to play on the PlayStation one was Tekken 3, and when I asked them if they had that, they stated that they did. At that point I was sold and I came in the next day and purchased my PlayStation one and my game Tekken three. After receiving the game. I immediately came home and hooked it up and I noticed a problem right away when it took me five attempts to get the game to come on before it would. When I seen that it came on I was willing to forgive the five tries, until I turned off the game and went about my business and came back hours later to play again only to find that the Console would not come on at all. I decided that I was going to take the console back and demand either a replacement or a refund. When I arrived they were so friendly and helpful. They immediately discovered that the problem was the power cord to the game. They quickly issued me a new power cord and assured me that if there were any more problems they would be more than happy to fix it at no extra charge. I brought the cord home hooked it up and I have been in tekken land ever since. Now that I've talked about my experience I will talk about the layout of the store. They do have a lot of retro games. They do have Nintendo, the wii and all of the other games, but what I saw that I haven't ever seen before was they have a gaming room. Set up with gaming chairs, different sizes of TVs and they said they virtually have any game that you were interested in playing. You can pay a price to play for an hour, or half a day or all day. You can pay for snacks while you play games. Unfortunately they won't let you in the room unless you're going to play games in there but I did get a sneak peek as a kid came out to switch out games. This has become a popular hang out in the Topeka area and now I know why. I literally saw parents bringing their kids to this place and coming back to pick them up later. Maybe one day just out of curiosity I may go and play a game for an hour just to see what it's like. They also state that you can throw gaming parties. So if you are into classic games like me or you are a bona fide gamer this is definitely a place you want to check out

My older two kids have loved Up and Away in Lawrence so I thought the play maze looked similar and that it'd be so fun for them and bonus that it's in Topeka and I don't need to drive to Lawrence - I was wrong. Both of my children had feet get stuck because the webbing of the play place had multiple broken spots throughout. There were also multiple duct taped spots. My oldest could get her foot out herself, but my second child climbed to the top and her whole right leg went through a hole. She was crying so hard and there were no workers anywhere. (They were all in the front office.) My baby also decided that was when she needed to be fed so my 3 year old and baby are crying while I have to climb to the top of this maze to get the 3 year old unstuck. As a side note, the arcade games are all at a high volume for their music and the lights are super bright - Dave and busters isn't so overstimulating. I gave them 2 stars because they did give me my money back, although I think I'm being generous since never did an employee apologize for what happened or check to see if my daughter was okay. They also did not mention that they would fix the issue.

No thank you, we won't make that mistake again.

Midway through our bowling session, two feet came out of the bottom of the lane next to the pins. The man who owned those feat must've been "fixing" something wrong with the lane. After that the pin pushing thing stopped working correctly and required fixing. This bowling alley seemed very old and outdated. I could've spent the money I used here on some cigarettes or taken it down to the pool hall.... If you want a good place to go bowling check out west ridge lanes.
