My sister drove from Michigan to Tennessee, by herself, in order to seek treatment at St.Jude for her 3 year old son, my nephew, for Anaplastic Medulloblastoma Stage 4 cancer. Unfortunately during her stay, her car broke down, and due to covid19, it was difficult for her to find someone that was able to pick up her car and drop it back off without leaving her sons side... By the grace of God, she received a miracle call from Chuck Hutton. Not only was he able to deliver the car back to my sister, but he also provided a blessing of a fixed vehicle as well. I brought my Jeep Grand Cherokee in because I was having problems with the brakes. They confidently told me that a two day long $800 brake job would fix my problems. They simply kept my vehicle for two days, changed the brake pads, and gave it back to me. When I got it back.. the brake issue was not resolved. When I asked them to make it right? "There's nothing we can do right now" Wow! Now my Jeep is not safe to drive and I paid $800 for it to be that way! read more

I noticed that most of the 5 star reviews are for people getting oil changes. My first visit was there for my free one and it was good but it's also one they know you will receive a survey from Chevrolet for. My second oil change visit I waited 20 minutes on the service drive before leaving because no one even approached me or my truck. Today I had a check engine light on. I made an appointment last week for today at 9 am. My truck and myself left the service drive at 9:26 without repairs. The service advisor Barry told me they should have told me it was going to be a few days before they could get it checked but I should leave it with them. The last time estimate I was given was 9-12 days before anyone could even look at it. I called another local dealer and they told me to come on in...I was treated with respect and appreciation at the other dealer and my vehicle was fixed and ready the same day. After a State Farm insured motorist crashed into my parked car (& was "decent enough" to report it to their insurance company due to how extremely bad the damage was, I have tried EVERYTHING IN MY POWER to get the most simplistic of information from CHUCK HUTTON CHEVROLET'S COLLISION AND REPAIR SHOP. I paid $130 for them to print out exactly what I told them was wrong with my car. I sent my car to get a diagnosis. I told them there was coolant leaking into my cylinders and I wanted to know why. I received a piece of paper (after I paid) that stated 'coolant leaking into cylinders'. I called to speak with my 'advisor' in which I had never spoke to before. He said he left me 2 voicemails, which is impossible because, I have no voicemails option on my cell phone. Then I have left 3 messages for the service manager to call me about what was going on and have yet to hear back. My advisor, Josh, was so rude and would talk over me, not allowing me to explain the situation. read more

Today was at Chuck Hutton calls there "Ladies Day Special" where Ladies can get an oil change for $39.95. I have been taking my toyota corolla there for years now as I had an Impala years ago and at that time our service guy was so nice he asked me to continue to bring it there so I did. Of course he is no longer there and I was just there for an oil change in Oct 2016 and paid $29.95 at that time. Oil has went up $10 so I'm told and since I have a toyota I have to pay more. I cannot speak about their service but what I can say is this was the worst buying experience I ever received due to constant lies and wasted time. I was from out of state and contacted them to buy a new car because the car I had broke down and I needed to buy something as an emergency to get home. When I first send over contact information I was called within 20 minutes and then everything went downhill. It started with we will call you back within a few minutes and that never happened every single time I called and that was from the internet sales team and a sales manager and a finance manager. There was several times where I left voicemails that were never returned. There was also a few times where I was hung up on and when I called back was told the person I spoke with went home for the day. After almost a week of this finally I was told to come into the dealership because they could get me approved in my situation just not for the truck I wanted. I asked to please do everything remotely due to not having a car to get to the dealership and staying in a hotel to far away to walk. They said I had to come in so I got a lyft to get over to the dealership cost me $20 both ways. When I walked in we chose a car and went from there. I ended up leaving without a car or truck. Then finally after another broken promise to call back by a manager I called the sales person and was told that every bank turned me down. I understand the situation but if it is explained to you before hand, a credit app was sent over before hand, and everything then dont force a customer to come in and constantly lie to them waste their time and money. As far as I am concerned I will take my business to a dealership back home and if you live in the Memphis area then take your business elsewhere. read more

I took my ZL1 in for what I thought was a busted speaker, because when the bass hit it would rattled. Joshua/Jason (I can not remember his name) said that the tech. did not notice anything and he reset the bass and everything to factor setting. I left and guess what the sound was still there. I took it to JImmy Gray in Southaven an explain my issue to him. We sat in the car and close the doors, turn up the volume. He was able to hear what I was talking about. He place his hands on the door and the sound went away. Took his hands off the door and the same came back. He look at me and said I need a new door panel. That the bass was causing something in the door to rattle. This is my issue when I took my car to Chuck Hutton my car was still under warranty and now it's not. It took me two days before I could took to Joshua/Jason and he just blanky said there is nothing he could do.... Really! I brought my car to you to check and your tech. did a poor ass job of fixing the problem. When a customer say they hear a sound that should not be there.. All it took was what the Southaven dealership tech did and he would've heard it. I asked to speak to Joshua/Jason manager and to this day I have to receive a call back.. Put service............... The salesman was great. He was very knowledgeable and willing to assist in any and every way. The few things that needed to be taken care of was taken care of quickly. The only thing that has bothered me so far is that my check engine light has come on and I've only had my car two months. Also, the Warranty Forever program was not thoroughly explained. I understood it covered the engine, transmission, front and back, but, when I brought my car in to be diagnosed, the service person broke it down further to internal lube parts (that may be wrong) that were covered under the engine. It was also not explained to be the diagnostic check-out fee if whatever was wrong was NOT covered and that it was $89 PER ITEM. That's the only non-pleasant experience I've had. I recently allowed this business to repair body damage to my car ! The work was great but the customer service I received was the worst I had ever endured!! When I arrived to pay ... The supervisor, Carol never once spoke directly to me or introduced herself!! She was extremely rude and as I was completing my business .. I finally stood up as she walked by and introduced myself!!!!! If this is the type customer service your business offers then I will certainly never return there!! I took my 2019 Corvette in to get the oil changed. I had been told (by one of their techs) the first two oil changes are on Chevrolet.They failed to tell me that there was an expiration date on that offer. After sitting in line for 20 minutes for them to actually move the cars in front of me, I get in and no one offers help. Finally a service writer Tammy tells me it will be a few minutes. When she finally gets to me I tell her I need an oil change, she said ooh those are expensive for your car, I ask about the first two and she said that was a limited time offer. So I ask how much, she said she wasn't sure, it depends on how much oil it needs. I ask, well since this is a Chevrolet dealership, shouldn't you know how much oil it takes, she kind looks at her screen and then at some papers. She says about $129, fast forward 2 hours later when the car is finally done, she tells me $195. I ask what happened to the $129 she told me, she said oh yours took even more oil. I can't tell if they are inept or dishonest. Extremely disappointed and doubt I will be back. read more

I went to Chuck hutton because of the lifetime powertrain warranty. After purchesing a car from them and signing papers we where never told anything about tje warranty. I had my normal shop do all the maintance on the car. When we though we had a issue with the car eight months later. We call service center and they had they we had purchased a new Silverado and not tje car when had and then we found out tje paper work was never filled for the warranty and that they could not help us because we had mot got a service done there. We where never told we had to do that and the gentlemen we bought tje car from and signed the paperwork no longer worked there. So they told us they could not help us and that we do t ja e the warranty form Them any more. I will never buy a car from this lot again. read more

Chuck Hutton is conveniently located near my job, so I would go there for any issues I have with my car. After a couple visits I noticed that the service department was poorly ran. I felt like my time wasn't being valued, there would be no follow up calls so I would have no idea about the status of my vehicle. It seems like the only time the associates would return your call or answer the phone would be when they had good news ("your car is ready"), otherwise don't expect to be updated or have calls returned. Despite these issues, I continued to bring my car here for oil changes or any minor issues I would have. I basically prepared to leave my car there for a few days at a time because I had other transportation. After my last experience at Chuck Hutton, I decided that I could no longer give this place my business. Their chronic lack of customer service (not returning calls, not following up and downright avoiding me) has frustrated me to the point that I will drive 30 minutes to the next closest dealership. I have spoken to supervisors and managers, which has resulted in temporary fixes, but things remain the same. read more

I am writing this review today because of the stellar experience I had at Chuck Hutton Chevrolet. I have always used other places for my car service needs, but I decided to give Chuck Hutton a whirl. I pulled into their service bay around 8:30 in the morning. There was quite a long line of cars in both service lanes waiting on service. I was quickly greeted by a Service Writer named Monica. I explained I needed an oil change, and she set me up. I was surprised to know they give free instant alignment checks on every service visit! Luckily, my car was aligned right, but it was great peace of mind to know I was ok! I went and waited in the waiting room which was nicely furnished, had a large tv, and free coffee. Everyone in the dealership was so nice and friendly. I walked around the showroom to look at the cars and spoke with a nice salesman named John. I explained I was just looking around, and he did not try to pressure me at all. Did I mention how nice their showroom is? It is brand new and large! In no time at all, I was called up by Monica because my car was ready. I paid a very reasonable price and went to get in my car. They also gave a free carwash with my oil change! You cannot beat a free car wash! Chuck Hutton got me in and out very quickly at a good price. I would definitely choose to do business with Chuck Hutton again! read more

We had our Honda Pilot in three times to fix the side panel trim due to it continuing to come loose. This is the 4th time, and found out there were no internal clips to keep it on, and only adhesive was used. I went to another true body shop and am paying to get it fixed, again. I called at 1pm to schedule an appointment for a diagnostic and they had a slot at 2pm that day, which was great. I arrived at 2pm and was told the technician I was scheduled with was not working that day so I had to wait 15-20 minutes to be "fit in" somewhere. They never apologized for scheduling me with someone that wasn't even working. I asked about their loaner cars and they told me they were booked weeks in advance so I asked if I could have a free shuttle and they reluctantly gave me a ride home. I got a call at 6pm but I missed the call and had no voicemail or 2nd phone call about my car. I didn't realize the call was from them so I finally called them at 10 am to get an update and my new technician said he tried to call me (which I guess was true). He told me a general description of what was wrong but would not give me specifics other than an estimate. I decided not to do the pricey repair so I called to tell him I wanted to pick up my car but someone else answered and told me my tech wasn't available. I asked if I had to let my tech know that I wanted to pick up my car and the lady on the phone said to just come and pick it up. When I arrived at 5pm to pick up my car, my tech told me that I really should have called because the mechanics had to still write up a report on my car and they were probably gone for the night already, indicating I might not be able to get my car until the next morning. When I told him I tried to call and talked to a lady that told me to come in, he then blamed them and said they didn't know and shouldn't have said that. He made me feel like it was my fault and I should have known not to trust this lady. I sat in the waiting room without any updates and I finally went to find him for an update around 5:45pm and he told me I was lucky that a mechanic was still there to write up my car details and he was just finishing paperwork for me. I finally got my keys back after 6pm and for almost $150, I got my diagnostic results which included only 2 sentences. I understand that not everything always goes as planned and sometimes you have to wait longer than expected. But after all of this, I never got any sort of apology. He made me feel like I was a nuisance and my time was worth nothing. I will not be back. read more

When my husband and I visit Chuck Hutton, initially we were only there to get an oil change. We had no intentions of purchasing a new car. We were stereotyped by many Sales Representatives and they did not greet us. My guess would be that they thought that we would not be potential buyers. We did a trade in from a 2015 Malibu LS to a 2016 LT Sport. As returning customers, we gave Mr. Fred Chambers our business. Mr. Chambers created a pleasant atmosphere for us; Mr. Chambers is very professional, trustworthy and straight forward. Qualities like that speaks volumes about a person and he continues to provide those services time after time again. Mr. Chambers would be the only reason that we would bring our business back to Chuck Hutton. Over all, I enjoyed my visit and Boi am I enjoying my new Malibu. Thanks! read more

Brought my car into get an alignment they said it was finished my wife picked it up and the cars alignment was so bad it almost caused her to get into a wreck with our 4 month old child in the back seat. She returned the car monday and we found out they forgot to tighten something up dealing with the alignment which almost caused the car to lose control. Two weeks after moving to Memphis, my tires were stolen and my car was brought here for the replacement. The dealership is HUGE, which explains their piss poor management. It just gives the feeling that they have spread themselves incredibly thin. After walking to the main service center I was told I was in the wrong place and had to walk even farther to the right area, only to find no one there. I had to call the dealership while in the waiting room after 20 minutes to tell them to send someone, and it took them an additional 10 minutes to get to me. when going over the service done to my car I found dents that were not originally there and that there was a random panel removed and re-painted that they tried to convince me was damaged during the tires being stolen (the panel in question is at the top of my car by the door). The person at the desk didn't know how to run cards, so that added another 20 minutes. After all this, I get in the vehicle and find cobwebs on the dash and adhesive from the sticker they used on my rearview mirror. The moment I knew I would not return was hours later.... when my tire light came on! With other dealerships in the area, there is no reason to put yourself through an experience like this. read more
