Had a wonderful experience buying my new car here almost a month ago. Andy was my sales guy and he was very straight forward from the beginning (he treats everyone as if they were his mom!), he was honest with me about financing and what I would likely be offered from banks, very honest about the cars we looked at and seemed very knowledgeable. When I finally pulled the trigger to buy Andy was thorough with all paperwork and (with the help of the service staff) made sure my new (used) Nissan Rogue looked perfect and ran perfectly. Peter made all the final finance signing and warranty discussions a breeze and was also SUPER knowledgeable and funny! It took a little longer for the banks to clear my employment status but Peter worked with me every step of the way and was so patient through it all. 15/10 would recommend this dealership and 20/10 would recommend both Andy and Peter!

Brought my Toyota Camry in for new tires. (1) Service agent couldn't tell me the difference between the tires (Bridgestone vs Yokohama). He asked me... (2)Bought 4 new tires, alignment, and oil change. (+$600 spent) and the tires look like they were pulled from a mud pit at a construction site. They didn't have the decency to even dust them off or ( exceed expectation) run my car through their car wash. I got in my car and there were oil grease stains on the button for flashers and steering wheel. I'm disappointed in the service, because I went to a Toyota dealership opposed to a mom and pop repair/ tire shop for knowledge and quality of care for my Toyota vehicle. Isn't this their value proposition? Pictures are after I cleaned them off with a napkin and then realized I should take a photo and write a review.

    Truck I bought.

My salesman, while being a great dude that I like as a person, was deffinitely still a salesman. Without saying a name or anything specific that raised red flags to me, I just get the feeling he'd say anything to get my money ASAP, and while he might do me a favor I imagine he got more out of the exchange than I did. Which is just him doing his job and looking out for his family above all else so that's understandable. I bought a truck and it's running great so far.

After waiting in the lobby for 10 minutes standing directly in the middle of the doorway no one greeted me. A Caucasian couple then entered behind me and was IMMEDIATELY greeted by a salesman! I then asked the young lady at the front desk who hadn't greeted me, "haven't I been standing here?" with a look of confusion on my face. She smirks acknowledging the fact that she knew I should have been greeted by a salesman and asks how she can help me. I said that I inquired about a car but I'm ok because there customer service there is terrible because why haven't I been greeted. She then states well sales doesn't open to 9 when I'm looking at two separate couples being helped by salesman and one of which came in after me! I then told her to let the salesman Guy Mauro know they are completely unprofessional and I no longer am interested in the vehicle. As I exit, a gentleman asks can help me with anything before I walk out, I assume it was Guy. I tell him no they can't and I was blatantly ignored when I entered. He tried to then say they aren't pushy salesman so that's why and I explain clearly that's not the case cause the couple that walked in right after me was greeted IMMEDIATELY. He then had nothing to say and ask if there is anything can he help with and I remind him that no they cannot because I don't want anything from a place that stereotypes people based on their skin color or vehicle they drive or clothes they wear. I communicated with both the service and parts departments. The communication and sense of urgency were lacking, however. My car was at Covington Pike from 9:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. for a pre-scheduled 1-2 hour diagnostic. Tim gave the excuse of being packed and slightly understaffed before a holiday, which I completely understand. However, this MUST be communicated to the customer, especially if it effects when the customer can use their primary source of transportation again. I was told by Janne' when I dropped the car off that they would get started on it before noon and I would receive an update shortly after. I called the service department at exactly 1:41 p.m. asking for an update, and I was told they had not even started to look at it yet. I called again at 4:33 p.m. to find out they had finally finished looking at the car. They did not reach out to give me any updates, I had to call myself. The actual diagnosis of the vehicle was very in-depth, and Tim was able to give me a good amount of information to help me make my decision on what to do about the problems. From my experience at Covington Pike VW, I would say their team is very knowledgeable and good at what they do, but there are some communication issues and some lack of urgency.

I alternate…read morebetween this site and the Germantown location for VW service, but this visit left me completely frustrated and in distress. I brought my car in to diagnose a check engine light and a disabled SOS overhead console. On April 3, I dropped off my vehicle with a reservation first thing in the morning. Later, I called for an update and was told my car would need to be kept overnight. The check engine light was cleared, but the SOS system issue remained unresolved. My service provider, Jason, dismissed the SOS issue as merely cosmetic and quoted $1600 for repairs, despite the system displaying a dashboard warning. After my car spent three days at the center (with no loaner vehicle offered), I picked it up and immediately noticed the SOS system bezel was cracked. Within 30 minutes, it fully detached. Out of boredom, I began troubleshooting and cleared the SOS error message myself! It turned out to be a technical issue, which made it clear to me that the service team had attempted a physical repair in error. After waiting for a new SOS system to be delivered, I called to schedule the replacement and was told May 1 was the earliest guaranteed completion date. Remembering my prior experience, I dropped off my car on May 1 with natural hesitation. The staff appeared confused and seemed to expect me to know all the details of my reservation, even though everything was digitized and available on their system! When I asked about loaner vehicles, I was told it depended on the extent of the repairs. From my perspective, being without a vehicle due to a service provider's error is reason enough for a loaner, but I digress. That afternoon, I called for an update and was told that the SOS system had been replaced and that they were awaiting the check-engine light diagnosis. I was promised a follow-up call with more details, but I never received one that Friday. Saturday passed with no updates, and by the time I realized, the location had closed. The service center is closed on Sundays. On Monday morning, I called shortly after opening (7:12 am) and was on hold for 30 minutes, only to be told Jason was with another customer and would call me back soon. No one called. I called again at 11:30, was placed on hold, transferred to Jason, and then sent to voicemail. I called the front desk again, explaining my situation, and was assured my message would be relayed. It wasn't until 3:30 pm--after repeated efforts ONLY on my part--that I finally spoke with a Gossett VW service provider. Initially, I was told there was no update, but within ten minutes during the same call, there was suddenly a diagnosis, and they were ready to proceed with a $400 repair upon my authorization. The lack of transparency, delayed communication, and pure inconsistency made it impossible for me to trust the service department's process. So, of course, I declined the repair since my vehicle remained operable per their professional opinion, and I informed VW that I would retrieve my car. This level of poor customer service is unlike anything I have experienced at any other Gossett location. I had to continually reach out for updates, and each time, I received new information only because of my persistence, not because the service team kept me informed. The staff's demeanor ranged from indifferent to dismissive, and their lack of accountability was purely evident. Even after I picked up my car, there was no apology for the repeated inconvenience. Instead, I was met with a cheeky comment! "Oh, we were just talking about you" when I gave my name. As someone who works in a customer-service-heavy occupation, I recognize that mistakes happen and that we are just human at the end of the day, but the repeated errors, lack of proactive communication, and disregard for customer concerns displayed by the Gossett Volkswagen Covington Pike service department are inexcusable!

Since my purchase, the vehicle has been out of my possession about half of the time I have owned it. It originally was in the shop for over two months to have a complete engine reseal because it was leaking from so many places it was best to remove the entire engine and reseal everything on it. This is something AutoNation should have found and then fixed before this truck was ever put on their lot to be sold. After this two-month ordeal where I was without a vehicle, I had contacted the dealer, AutoNation Honda 385 and was offered $200 of the $400 warranty deductible for the repairs, that was an insult to me considering AutoNation should have already had this repair work done before I purchased the vehicle. After this issue was "fixed" (surprise, its still leaking) I was able to drive the truck for almost a whole month before another issue reared its head, this time a transmission line failed causing my transmission to lose about 2-3 quarts of fluid. It was topped off by the service center AutoNation recommended to me and was called "fixed". I raised concerns for my transmission and was quicky dismissed. Now cut to April of this year, The truck's Torque convertor is failing suddenly (I wonder why) and there is also an AC leak, a Front pinon seal leak, Timing chain replacement, and my high-pressure fuel pump is leaking. The repair estimate from the GMC dealer who is approved to work on my vehicle is over 13K in repair fees. This is outrageous for a vehicle I have purchased less than a year from today and now I am on the hook for all the repairs because AutoNation can't take ownership of their negligence of this vehicle. There is no way it's possible this truck was inspected for issues prior to it being sold to me. The leaks originally found were so egregious and obviously the mechanics were blown away the dealer didn't already fix the issue. There have been no shows of good faith, no attempts to meet me in the middle, and no accountability taken from AutoNation for my suffering and financial strain because of this. Now I am left with a 13K repair bill on a vehicle worth 15K, I cannot trade it in, I cannot sell it (because who would buy it) and I cannot drive it. They have been attempting to find a "steal" for a trade in per the used car manager. The trade in value they are offering is 7K at the absolute highest with is another insult considering the reason why the truck has lost value is due to their negligence. Now I am stuck under a loan and a vehicle that I can't use but must pay a note on plus full coverage insurance. I am not made of money; this will bleed me dry because I'll still have to find alternate transportation as well as continue paying monthly expenses for this paperweight AutoNation sold me. Buyers beware of their used vehicles; they will try to take advantage of you wherever they can and then hang you out to dry when you are stuck on the side of the road because it broke down. I will be also contacting the BBB about this as I have said, AutoNation has made ZERO attempts to make this right for their customer. They only took my money and then cast me aside.
