Your Review: The service center will not be the sole course of this review. My only issue is the timeframe it took to diagnose the issue as it took a week and a half. Now to the main course, I am highly disappointed with FORD. I purchased my 2021 Ford Ecosport in June 2024 from Carnax with 39k miles on it. I received a letter in Nov 2024 of the recall and that a work around would be available April 2025. April 2025 comes and i get another notice saying around Apr 22 they'll be having consumers come in for repair, well April 23 my car cut off due to Low Engine Oil Pressure. After having my car for a week and half, i was told the recall caused engine issues and that a new one will have to be installed. I had to uber and lyft for 2 weeks and it was 245. Then was told repair would be likely another week so i then had to get a rental 275.00. We are in a recession and no one has extra funds laying around. A loaner WAS NOT AVAILABLE at all. You would think they would have something setup with rental companies where the consumer could go, get a rental, and use until repair is complete. However, this did not occur. I picked my car up on May 15, only to be informed a new engine was not installed just thr part replaced with a patch up and that this may occur again. Oh, and by the lay ur transmission is now slipping! II pay 564 a month for this car and insurance. I purchased this car with low mileage to avoid issues like this. I am highly disappointed and furious with the entire process. The staff was very helpful and knowledgeable but FORD AS A WHOLE UR PRODUCTS ARE NOT LEAVING A GOOD TASTE WITH CONSUMERS AT ALL!!! I do not feel safe in this car as it cut completely off while i was driving to get my Autistic son from school early because he was sick. He had to be transported to the hospital and i had to uber down there and back. Two bad experiences with this place. brought my truck in for recall work. That was fine, but I got a realignment. Two weeks later I got a flat and brought it to Firestone and they give me a printout of their bad alignment. Didnt think too much of it, but next time I bring it here months later they want to charge me $2500+ for a fuel pump issue. I have it towed to another shop and it's fixed for a COMMON FORD fuel pump fuse issue. SAVED ABOUT $2,000. Dont waste your time with this place. The transmission went out on my escape before I even made first payment. Then headlight went out and the said it would be $2500 because they would need to replace the headlight assembly. Then parking sensor went out. I called kaelan Robinson a few days after I bought it and he told me it was probably just the turbo kicking in and I wasn't use to it. I guess he knew he could unload this car on me. I paid everything I had down on it and have been without a car for two weeks now while at coleman taylor. It should have been covered under the 90 warranty, but I also purchased the gold warranty package. After taking it to Nissan they said it wasn't covered. I recently purchased a Ford vehicle from another dealership and was fully aware that there was a recall on the vehicle. It's the vehicle I wanted, and I was ok with getting the recall taken care of. Not a problem. During the three weeks that I have driven the vehicle, prior to sending it to AutoNation Ford for the recall repair, I noticed another issue that may be covered under the balance of the manufacturer's warranty. I asked that to be checked out as well while in their care. I made an online appointment, and on Monday 2/5/24 my vehicle arrived at AutoNation Ford for the recall and repair. At first, I was impressed by their pickup service from my job. Wow! I saved myself an Uber fee or my wife having to pick me up and bring me to my job after dropping off the vehicle. I bragged about that service because it was going 'above and beyond', I thought. That was Monday. Today is Friday. Days have gone by, and now I am not so sure. As of this writing, 2/9/24, I have no information regarding the diagnostic of the 'additional repair' nor the status of the repair on the recall. I work every day. I am driving a borrowed vehicle. I made them aware of that. I need to figure out how I will get to work next week, potentially, if I don't have my vehicle back. I was ready to leave a similar review yesterday, but I deleted what I previously wrote after receiving an apologetic text stating they would check on things and get with me. That was four hours ago. Since Wednesday, I have called. I have texted. I have repeatedly asked for updates. I am frustrated as of this writing, as I am questioning the purpose and the sanity of an appointment if someone is simply going to let a vehicle sit on the parking lot for days without being checked or repaired. I could have driven the vehicle this entire week and then bring it in when they are READY and AVAIALABLE to make an expeditious diagnosis and/or repair. I have dealt with another Ford dealership in the area over the past two decades, and I vowed to never buy from them again because of a lack of service on my last two purchases from them! The last one was the straw that broke the camel's back. My job is Assistant Director of Customer Service for a relatively large wholesale distributor. Consequently, one of my pet peeves is to receive (what I consider) a lack of service. Our team is trained that "even if you don't have an answer, call the customer back as you near the end of the day so that they won't think you have forgotten about them". Nobody likes feeling ignored or that their specific situation is unimportant. I am of the opinion it should be assumed that anyone dropping a car off needs their car back in a timely manner or at least a 'ball park' of when they MIGHT have their vehicle repaired and returned to them! People work. People borrow and/or even go through the expense of renting a vehicle while theirs is in the shop. If the car is not being repaired, what sense does this make?! Because I work in the service industry, I am not unreasonable. I understand things happen. But hearing "we could not get to you this week, but we'll take care of you on whatever date and try to get your vehicle back to you by whatever date" is better than.............nothing. No information. Period. You never get a 2nd chance to make a 1st impression. I am hoping I can upgrade my rating....but right now, I am frustrated and one step away from being infuriated over "no information". I'd like to share my appreciation of Mr. Andrew Howell in the Service department at Autonation Ford Wolfchase for his assistance. I recently purchased a Ford vehicle from a dealer in Gadsden AL. On the return to Memphis we discovered two issues with the vehicle. After discussing options with the selling dealer, we took our vehicle to Autonation Ford Wolfchase for their assessment and diagnosis. We've made two visits and will need to return for the final repair. Due to a delay with one component, I picked up the vehicle and decided to return when the parts had arrived. On the second visit we learned the second component that had been sent was wrong. Because the parts were related and part of the same system, I'll have to return at a later date. So... Beyond the control of Autonation Ford Wolfchase Service Department I need to return. In most cases one would be upset, however, Mr Howell has done a great job of keeping me informed and assisting in getting me scheduled for service. He has shared the progress of receiving the parts, even if they were discovered to be incorrect. It's hard to be bearer of bad news and Mr Howell has been a real trooper in shooting straight with the component status. Once the repair has been completed, I'll provide a followup. By the way, its only a 4 star review until the repair if complete. I'm expecting great things! read more

I had an appointment that was made a week before to have a factory recall installed. When I took my car in on the appointment date they told me they did not have the needed parts. They did not have the courtesy to let me know ahead of time that they did not have the parts. My time and their time was totally wasted in bringing my car in. This indicates a very poorly run dealership. The proper thing that should have been done is the needed parts should have been pulled and assigned to me at the time the appointment was made. read more

My van is used for service. That means I can't do my job without it. That means my customers can't get service unless I have a working van. It's not only used to go to and from work, but it's used to work out of. This has been the busiest summer we've ever had. It's extremely hard for me to make arrangements to go a day without the van. I understand that if it broke down, I wouldn't have a choice. The problem I am having is that every now and then the back doors will not open from the outside. I have to crawl in the side doors and fiddle around inside the back door to get it open. This would be bad news if I have large cargo inside the back door preventing me from being able to reach the inside of the back doors. So I made arrangements to drop the van off and made an appointment. I told them that I would need it at the end of the day to drive home. I worked with another technician all day which cost the company money because he could have done his job without me. When we picked it up at the end of the day, they hadn't even looked at it. Their excuse was that they didn't have an empty rack to put it on. I asked if they intended on working on a ladder to fix the doors and they said that they didn't have an empty bay to put it in. I told them they could have just checked it out in the parking lot. Then they said they didn't have a mechanic who could look at it. Look here! I made an appointment to have it looked at. I understand if they had to order parts but they kept it all day and didn't even look at it! I only had 3,000 miles left of warranty and now that I haven't found time to take it back, my warranty is gone and I'm still having the problem. I have bought two vans here. This is the second time I've made an appointment where they kept my van all day without looking at it. Jamie got on their ass the first time it happened and made sure I got service the next day. These guys told me that Jamie has died. I feel like there's no point in taking it back because I won't get any service. I can't let them keep it forever because I have customers too and unlike AutoNation, I have to keep my commitments. read more

No one answered I left a voicemail no one called me back. I purchased my Ford truck here three years ago. I recently received a recall notice for two different issues and was instructed to contact the service department here. I first called the number provided and explained the reason for my call. I was forwarded to another number that ended up in one of the Service Department Rep's voicemail. I left a detailed message detailing the reason for my call, and left my name and phone number. After not hearing back 24 hours later, I called back and asked for the Service Manager. This call went to voicemail. Again, I left a detailed message. That was Three Days ago and I have still not heard back from either one. This place is a complete and total dumpster fire. Have taken my vehicle here twice for service and they failed to deliver the vehicle when promised and did NOT communicate. I had to track them down. Their phone system is a disaster. If you call the Service Dept be sure to pack a lunch. You're given the option to press '1' for a callback but, problem is, they never call you back. I held for 20 minutes and was automatically transferred to a voicemail. I called back and was put on a loop: phone would ring, I pressed 2 for Service and was redirected to the same recording. Every person I've dealt with there has a bad attitude and clearly hates their job and dealing with people. The shuttle drive is surly and, like the rest of the employees the dealership, is rude. Dealing with the service department at Autonation Ford has been fantastic. As a female, I've always dreaded dealing with anything cars - people give you the run around, talk to you like you're an idiot, and you feel like you're being taken advantage of. Not these guys. I've only had my car for four months (bought it CPO from a different Ford dealer) and have brought it in twice for different items (both under warranty) and everyone I've dealt with has been friendly, respectful, straightforward, and honest. They've been mindful of my time, gotten the work done in even less time than they've quoted both times, and have always quickly returned my phone calls with status updates. Since both items were under warranty I can't speak to pricing, but I get the impression that these guys would treat me fairly regardless. Their shuttle driver is prompt and friendly, too, and After dealing with several shady Ford dealerships, I'm glad to have finally found a dealership that I trust. Keep it up, Autonation. UPDATE: Unfortunately after having several good experiences with this service department, I'm back to provide a negative update. Since my original review, I have come back to the dealership with the same engine problem four times. The most recent time, they knew exactly when I would be coming in and promised to have a rental car reservation for me since it would take 3-4 days to repair. Even after the rental car agent picked me up directly in front of the service advisor (literally an arms length away from him), it took two hours for them to send the rental car reservation. Because the rental reservation wasn't sent earlier, the only car they had available for me was an F150, which is not at all comparable to the mustang I'm used to driving. In addition to this, after the initial 3-4 days quoted, a few days later they said they still didn't know when my car would be ready so they wanted me to pay for a rental car out of pocket, even though the hold up was because they just couldn't work on my car promptly (even though they knew that I'd be back for this repair the date that I brought it in). After a week and a half I went out of town and they still weren't finished with my repair, nor did they know what was wrong. Upon my return, I needed another rental car reservation. I stayed on the phone with them this time, stating clearly that I needed a reservation at the airport location. Of course upon arriving at the airport there wasn't a reservation, so I had to spend another hour trying to get a reservation and ended up ubering to another rental car location because the service advisor said he couldn't send reservations to the airport (even though we had discussed it four hours earlier). And shocker - I once again got an F150. All that week I left voicemails for both my service advisor and the service manager asking for updates on my car. No one would answer the phone or return my calls. After eighteen days of my car being in the shop, I decided to just show up in person because no one would call me back. Conveniently, my car's ticket had "just landed" on the service advisor's desk and I could pick up my car (but who knows when he would've called me to tell me my car was ready). And much to my surprise, they didn't actually find a problem. After four attempted repairs for the same problem and eighteen days in the shop, apparently nothing was wrong. And to top it all off, they drove my car 250 miles to confirm there's no problem, leaving me with 17 miles to empty in the gas tank. So many things went wrong during this fourth attempt. I remained very polite and calm during every interaction, but between the amount of time my car was in the shop, the lack of promised rental car reservations resulting in my wasted time and frustration (not to mention having to drive huge trucks), a complete lack of communication, and the inconsideration of giving me a car with no gas in it, I will not be returning to this service department again. read more

Terrible place. Charged me 1241.41 dollars for a car wash!!! The guy David said that they needed a special chemical to clean the ammonia smell in my car. When I asked him what chemical he used, he told me it's only labor cost for vacuum and shampoo, which means they charged me 1000 extra dollars for a car wash!! We were in town to visit Graceland on our way back North when our engine light came on and we were concerned about driving so far without knowing what potential problems this might mean for us . We pulled into AutoNation and were referred to the manager , Brian, who literally came out to our car and plugged us into the computer diagnostic box and informed us the code for the oil pressure had a circuit malfunction due to the high temperatures we had been driving in and he re-set the code which turned off the warning light and reassured us we would be fine to get home safely. He did this for NO CHARGE! We indeed arrived home safely after s 6,000 mile road trip safe n sound. That's customer service ! read more

I bought my car from Principle Toyota in 2017. It worked wonderful for a year. In January of 2018 my car started to shudder and cut off many times in a row. I was told it was a recall that needed a repair. I brought my car to this place 5 times for the same repair & after each time being told it was fixed it would do the same thing. I feel like I was lied to and that my car was NEVER repaired. This place had also done something to my hood after fixing a battery that would not allow me to open it & when I took it back to them they charged me for a repair that THEY BROKE. I filled out the lengthy on line form detailing what I needed done they completely messed it up. When asked their service person told me "we don't read that". I should have known when I showed up at their after hours drop box and found 2 soggy envelopes and no pen. I even called them 2 days before I needed things done, spoke to them directly and they still dropped the ball. When I spoke to the service manager I barely got an apology. To date now several days later no follow up phone call by any of them to see if they could help. This has cost me time, energy and about $75 in unnecessary Uber rides, not that they care. I guess since ford explorers are common they feel no need to treat their owners with any respect/courtesy. The good news is that since they don't care about my business they will longer get my business. Zero Stars - I've got two Ford's and I will never visit the service department at the Mt. Moriah location ever again. This past March a 48 hour recall turned into two months of waiting, confusion, lost paperwork, no parts, etc. Eventually they had to ship it up to the Wolfchase location to get the work done because they couldn't do it. On top of that, the service manager never renewed the rental agreement on the enterprise car halfway through, so I was charged for three weeks of the rental cost. When I called to get it straightened out, it took more than a week for me to track the service manager down because he didn't return my calls or answer my messages. Unbelievable!! This location of Ford Autonation is horrendous, I will never go there again and will seriously reconsider buying Fords in the future. read more

After taking the car home, it developed that the battery was bad. Haynes came out on his day off and started the car and took it to the dealership where it was found that battery was bad - it was replaced at no cost and the car was returned. This is going to be a long one, but unfortunately, I need the word count to describe how bad my experience with Autonation Ford was. I made an appointment to get my car serviced back on March 23rd because we had a long trip upcoming. The check engine light was on (already diagnosed by Autozone) and, more importantly, the car was making a grinding noise when it moved. We were told the the service desk would contact us that day or the next with a diagnosis. I called every day for a week until someone had finally looked at the car. We were told that the evap purge valve and solenoid needed replacing for the check engine light and the hood retention holder was causing the scraping noise. The repair was expensive and the hood retention holder causing a scraping noise seemed suspect, so we wanted a second opinion and ended up just paying for the diagnostic. The lady at the service desk conveniently left off the coupon we had used every time she quoted a price. In the end, she still did not apply the discount and I luckily caught it while signing the receipt. All these issues were annoying, but not critical. However, the morning after we got our car back from Autonation Ford we took it to a local repair shop to get a second opinion. A couple hours after we brought in the car, they called to say the grinding noise that Autonation said was caused by the hood retention holder was actually the result of the ball bearings in one wheel being seized, causing the CV-axle to crack almost all the way through. They said we would have been lucky to make it out of Memphis. They fixed the car by the early afternoon (about 6-7 hours from dropping it off) for less money that the simple problems Autonation Ford had identified. To sum up, I spent $140 in a frustrating, week-long process to get an incorrect diagnosis that could have ended badly a couple hours after setting off on a long drive. I would have left a review earlier, but Autonation Ford promised a refund immediately after I wrote them. I have not gotten a check or had my emails returned since. I certainly do not want those mechanics to touch the car again. Avoid this place, you can do better. read more
