This review is just for the compost…read more Came here for roughly 20 cubic feet of compost soil. It was all free through reservations in their website. You can't beat free! I was apprehensive about coming here, not knowing what to expect. But the whole process was super easy. Drive up towards the main office and follow the signs to the compost heap. It's located on the side of the parking lot. Back your car/truck right up to the heap and start shoveling. The compost itself isn't that rich loamy material that you make at home. There is a high percentage of "browns" in there. So using it as a compost amendment isn't as effective as manure. But since it's all for free, I just use it straight, as potting soil. Saves you a ton of money, particularly if you're trying to fill a sizable raised bed. Side note, this stuff is fresh. It was quite warm even on a cold day. It doesn't stink like poop but it does give off quite a bit of ammonia.
