The staff here are amazing!! We were seated by Terrance and served by Danielle and we had a fantastic time. Danielle was so friendly, she felt like part of our group. She joked with us and we all had a great time together. Although I don't eat meat, my friends had the wings and said "These are the best wings I've ever had". I had the cheese fries which were delicious but I wouldn't recommend them for one person as they're very dense. We had the spinach dip as an appetizer which was good but way too small in my opinion! The dish is very shallow so there isn't much dip but it tastes great! All in all it was the staff that made our experience here the best. It hit hard enough to leave a bruise! The manager saw this happen and didn't even ask if I was ok which I was not, I was in alot of pain. The waitress seated us at which point I was in tears from the pain, she said she would talk to the manager and I said I wanted to see the manager. After our meal was done she said she had talked to the manager and it would be taken care of. At this point I told her I wanted to see him. On may 20th I went to chucks to join some friends for a birthday celebration. We arrived around 7:30pm. The waitress named Amanda Thompson came over and asked what we wanted to drink. We ordered two beverages, and she took my order for food, in which I had to ask her to take my order instead of her offering. She failed to come back for at least 20 minutes but continued to walk around the restaurant and talk to other staff. My friend finally got his order in but never came back to refill the drinks. Over the course of this night I never actually got a refill once, along with a bunch of others at the table. We tried to order more drinks but had to remind the waitress a few times to which she replied "this place is going to shit anyways!". She didn't know what any common popular drinks were for us to even order them. She would instead call them "whatchamacallits" or "thingamajiggers". When my friend asked the second time for his drink she replied "what, are you impatient?". We were waiting for food for an hour or more. At this point I asked if the food was even coming. She went into the kitchen to return ten minutes later with the food. Fries were soggy and the lobster tail was completely cold. I will admit the steak was hot and cooked to medium rare like I had asked. I ate the meal anyways because I was so hungry from waiting and I didn't want to be ungrateful. Shit happens. She stated that she didn't have a "food runner" so that's why the food took so long. It puzzles me how she's working and isn't aware of the other staff also working. Anyways. Due to the terrible service we were ready to leave and the table unanimously decided that she didn't deserve a tip. A tip is not mandatory and I believe that by the amount of mistakes she made and carelessness she projected that she in fact did not deserve any extra money coming out of my wallet. The waitress, then begins to yell at the whole table and belittle us because we didn't tip her. She swore at me and told me I was banned from chucks because I was "being rude". I stated that I would never be back anyways and it was nice knowing her. I'm not a very big fan of COLD lobster tail anyways. She started to cry at work and that's when her unprofessionalism was just too much for me to bear anymore. I then left the establishment, and she made a friend that was at the same table pay for my meal, but I had in-fact already paid. So she double charged me. I should also note that she forgot to charge me for a drink that I bought the birthday-boy and she replied, again, "ah who cares this place is going to shit anyways". I don't know what kind of employer would be okay with this. Management is poor and the bartenders are very unknowledgeable. How many times a day does she do this? Isn't that stealing??? Makes me wonder if they even have their smart serve credentials. I'll never go back to this place and it doesn't even deserve a 1 star rating. I would Definitely go back and recommend it to friends. Waitress was friendly and professional. Came back second time and ordered a Bloody Mary that was good for $4. Fun Fact! We stopped here tonight just prior to picking up our daughter in Brampton. We have never been to this chain before. It's unfortunate because based on tonight's experience we will not be back. We had a goat cheese dip that looked like it was poured out of a jar. I've had chicken noodle soup broth that was thicker. The bread was toasted but had obviously been there for a week or more. Decided to come back again, my partner ordered his steak Medium Rare, the most common way to order a steak. First one came out and it was medium well - no pink whatsoever. We flagged down our waitress and informed her it was over cooked, you could tell by looking at it. She brought it back to the kitchen, within seconds she returned saying "the chef says this is medium rare so what is the problem". We were shocked, what chef would look at a grey steak and say it was medium rare? She said if we asked for medium rare again it would come back the same so did we want it medium? Again confusion, that would make it MORE cooked, we want it less cooked. She goes to the kitchen, another waiter returns, again asks what the problem is. We explain, we asked for Medium Rare, which this is not. 20 minutes later they bring a new steak, it's cooked the exact. Same. Way. This time the waiter waited to see, immediately we said no, it's medium well, again. He had the audacity to blame the steak saying it's small. What? My partner got the exact same order a few weeks ago and it was perfect. Another 20 minute wait and if you guessed the third steak was also over cooked, you'd be right! My partner ordered a burger instead but now we've been here for nearly 2 hours, the kitchen wasted 3 steaks, he still hasn't eaten and nobody seems to be bothered that their chef doesn't know how to cook a medium rare steak. Another lady a few tables down from us had the SAME problem too, so it's not just us. We ended up just canceling that order and asked for the bill, they ended up bringing us the burger anyways, comped that and the uneaten steaks, we weren't ready to leave but couldn't stay there anymore. I really don't know how I feel about this place. Every time I come here its a different experience - literally a hit and miss. My first visit with my boyfriend was great. Servers were great and food was great too! Chuck's Road House made such a good impression on us we recommended it to our friends. My friends, boyfriend and I decided to come back another time and grab some quick food before we headed to a party. This time was one of the worst experiences - especially since we got such a rude ass server. Seriously. Perfect example of why I don't believe every server deserves a tip... First sign of terrible service, we get there and no one to greets the clients at arrival, we wait 7 minutes before someone acknowledge our presence at the front door, when there was another 10 people behind us and the door was blocked, it is almost 4:00pm and the restaurant was half full, plenty of tables to accommodate everyone fast in the waiting line. We order drinks and right away our order, nothing extraordinary from the menu, no appetizers, one buffalo chicken sandwich, one chicken tenders and 2 steaks. After that the waiter disappear from the restaurant, we continue waiting, and waiting, and waiting, good 45 minutes pass and I realized that the people after us in the lineup they are already eating, that's when I get up looking for our server to inquiry about our order, is almost 5:00pm and she just said it will check with the kitchen, she came back just to tell us that our order is not ready yet and also we have 4 to 5 orders in front of us, clearly unacceptable and no sympathy, no apology whatsoever, I tell her to cash me out the drinks and you will never see me again, I called the manager on duty and even though he apologize, he was fine with loosing the business, like he can care less. First of all, my steak came out looking exactly the same as the picture for the establishment -- but with the added bonus of having a broken bone with shards scattered through it. I first checked out this place in June, I had a terrible experience. Our server was rude and it was obvious she did not want to be there. The place was not that busy. We ordered chicken wings and beer. Not a difficult order right? We sat there for what seemed like an eternity, our drinks empty and no sign of the server to come and refill. We walked up to the bar to try to get another drink while we sat and waited for our food. During this time I had lots of time to admire the decorating of the interior, which was actually nicely done but to my surprise was not busy for a Friday night. Now I know why.... Another couple of tables filled up close to us, they ordered and we watched as they got their food (chicken wings as well I might add) finished their food, paid their bill and left. 2 tables came in after us, ate, and left before we had even got our food. As they were paying their bill I went to find the manager to complain and we were ready to leave. He encouraged us to just wait a minute and he would take care of it. The middle aged blonde server then came out from the back with a big fake smile as she grit her teeth with a big loud fake apology that the kitchen was backed up. Really? Nice excuse. Our food finally came moments later, delivered by the manager. The wings were not fully cooked. It was awful. About a month later in July I returned, not by my choice but with a friend who i tried to discourage from eating at this horrible place. I quickly looked around to make sure we didn't end up with the same horrible server as last time, which thankfully we didn't. My experience was a bit better this time, the server was pleasant and the wings were cooked this time and I didn't have to walk up to the bar to look for ice for my drink. Still first impressions count. My husband ordered the calamari starter, I had the bruschetta, both arrived within a reasonable time and we enjoyed them BUT we were only half way through eating them when our main course arrived!! A few weeks ago my wife and I went to Chucks on Kennedy road in Brampton. We have been there before and it was pretty good. This trip however was not relished. The food when it finally came was only warm and the corn on top of my wifes steak was actually cold. Also the bar and eating area should be separated as a patron in the open bar area loudly used the F word frequently and there were children in the eating area. No one said anything to him.
