My friends and I attended an event nearby and luckily this restaurant was in the same plaza. We came during late afternoon and so it was still sunny outside. We sat in one of the booths and I appreciated the ambiance as it was still sunny. I got the burger with fries and it was yummy. Good sized burger and good amount of fries. My friend got the steak and she said it was not bad at all. The waitress we had was nice and courteous as well. Overall good place to go to for grillhouses.

We enjoyed the seafood tower, surf & turf, and lobster tacos. I highly recommend the Rose Sangria, which was also quite refreshing. These are all included on their Summer and Seafood menus. The staff were all very pleasant, and we love the restaurant ambiance. Free parking

Prime Rib (medium rare?) definitely NOT. I ordered medium-rare, and was served a medium-well, and said that's how they cook it.

Can you get a Prime Rib medium rare here, definitely NOT. I ordered medium-rare, and was served a medium-well, and they said that's how they cook it. I ordered an Americano coffee and they brought me a macchiato. I don't think it's the server's fault, because everything else was fine. I think the kitchen made all the mistakes, because they brought out all the food.

Nice steakhouse for lunch and dinner. Lots of parking and friendly hostess/wait staff. I had calamari and a Mediterranean chicken salad for lunch and it was very tasty. The calamari was a little dry and the salad could have had a bit more dressing. But I liked the vibe and I'll definitely come back.

We had our company Christmas party at the Woodbridge Location last night. The food and the service was fantastic. Domani was our waitress. They were extremely busy, a full house and our food and drinks came quickly and everything was spot on and delicious.

This restaurant has been in the neighbourhood for decades. I actually have been here before, many moons ago. This occasion was to get out to eat at a restaurant for the first time since COVID hit, and to celebrate hubby's birthday. I was able to make a reservation over the phone very easily. Parking is ample and there are 2 entrances, one off Rowntree Dairy Road and the other off Winges Road. When we lined up and checked in at the desk set up outside, I was asked to place my phone on the scan code sticker on it to get the full menu. I much prefer a hard copy menu, which wasn't available due to COVID, but they had a scaled down menu on paper. I opted for that. We were taken around to the side patio, which I liked better than the front one facing the parking lot. There was no umbrella for the table we were seated at, but it had just reached full shade for this time of day, so it was okay. The table was a bit wobbly on the slightly uneven floor surface. There supposedly is Wi-Fi available, and I followed the instructions to provide an e-mail to register, but kept getting stalled and never connected. The server was prompt in coming over to start us off. We weren't ready for anything but water at first, but then hub decided he'd try the Rose Sangria, and I liked that when the drinks arrived, she included a water for him as well as the Sangria. My daughter later opted for a Strawberry Daiquiri which she enjoyed. We ordered a Spinach Dip appetizer to share. The chips were a nice shape, half moons and ribbons, for dipping, and lighter, thinner and crispier than nacho chips, which I liked. The dip was very salty, though, and there was a blob of cheese which hadn't quite gotten mixed in with the rest of the dip. For mains, I had the Lobster Ravioli, hub had the Chicken Tenders Platter, and my daughter went with the Seafood Linguine. The portions for all 3 were good. The pastas did not come with any side salad or bread. The ravioli, like the spinach dip, was too salty. The linguine, on the other had, was too sugary. Hub found the batter on the chicken tenders a bit thick. When I tried it, it reminded me of the coating on chicken balls from Chinese restaurants - soft and floury, not crispy, except that it had pepper for flavour. His platter did come with sides, and he chose fries and cole slaw. The slaw had so much mayo in it, it looked like potato salad. He enjoyed the fries best of the 3 items. I liked that the service philosophy here is that more than one person comes to make rounds on the floor, at all tables, and you don't get "I'll send your server" if you need anything during your meal. They'll provide takeaway containers for any leftovers if you wish, which you pack yourself. The server was prompt in providing the bill, and presented it with a pleasant "Take your time" so that you're free to go, when you're ready. I wanted to be able to give a 4 with the good job on the setup, ambience and service but, I expected better food for a steakhouse restaurant. It really wasn't any better than a casual roadhouse/pub style restaurant in a lower price range, and the food was, as my daughter puts it quite well, "lacklustre." The excessive salt, sugar and mayo in the dishes does not let the real flavours of the ingredients come though - it's palpable, not palatable. Definite room for at least more star if the food can be brought up to the level it should be for this kind of restaurant.

Nice restaurant, convenient parking. We went there on a weekend night for dinner. Dining room had 25 minutes waiting and Lounge had instant seating. Good service. We had Lobster Poutine and Seafood Platter. Food quality/taste was just about average, expected it to be better.

I have been to this exact location twice and I love it! The food was delicious and well presented. The servers were great and always checked on us. The wait times is like than 15 mins, perhaps the weekend might be longer wait times. But I usually go on the weekdays. I celebrated my birthday there this year and I was very happy with my experience. I do find it expensive, but it's worth spending my money on. Parking is never a problem. I would definitely go back and highly recommend it.

Celebrated my birthday by having dinner at Baton Rouge!! Got the Lobster Tail & Classic Top Sirloin w/ 2 sides. It's a bit expensive ($49), but super delicious. It also comes with an entree (soup or salad) and a dessert! The sirloin was cooked to perfection, and the lobster was amazing. Honestly, not much to say/rant about haha. The atmosphere here is pleasant. Servers are super friendly. I think the only thing I have to talk about is the price. The places are definitely a bit more expensive than your average dinner place. But the quality of food definitely reflects and makes up for the price! Would definitely recommended if you're in the mood to splurge a bit :)

I love this location! If you make a reservation you get seated fairly quickly. Their food is delicious and the prices are reasonable for a steak dinner. Did I mention their food is delicious? I have even been there for lunch and the roast beef sandwich with Au jus is amazing!

I decided to look at the menu, saw the lobster roll, and knew that I needed to order it. I love lobster rolls. I see it on a menu and I must order it. No thought required. Done! There are three COAST locations, all ghost kitchens, in the GTA. One is in downtown Toronto. Another is at the Firkin that I used to frequent at Yonge and Eglinton. The one is Vaughan is the latest addition, which is where I went last night. I placed my order through Uber Eats for pickup: - PEI lobster roll with COAST salad - Crispy COAST shrimp - Crème brûlée cheesecake - Superbowl Sunday special (free COAST fries when your order is $40 or more) The downside is that I got a general location as to where to go to pick up my food. I got to the plaza with Nations grocery store anchoring it. Where do I go next? Well, my prayers were answered when a nice person from COAST called me and said that my order was ready. He let me know that COAST is in The Moose, which is a Firkin pub. Yes, direction! I thanked him and parked closer to the pub. The Moose looks new and modern. It has patio heaters and is open for dining in, as is many eateries in York region now. I was greeted by a nice man. He asked for my order number. I showed it on my phone and he went to fetch my order. I saw this white paper bag with handles on the bar counter. He thanked me and handed it to me. I reciprocated. I could smell the fries through my mask. I was so excited and I headed over to my car. I got home and had dinner. I bought more than I could down, so I have leftovers today that I look forward to having I had a container full of salad. The PEI lobster roll was camouflaged by it. You can choose fries or salad as your side. Considering that I was going for free COAST fries, I settled for salad. I loved how much salad I got. The veggies were crisp and fresh. All I heard was my crunching on them. The salad dressing had balsamic vinegar, but it was subtle and didn't have a ton of sugar. I liked it a lot. My lobster roll was good. The lobster had generous chunks of real lobster in aioli, with chives and seasoning. Yum! The downside was the bun. The brioche bun needed to be softer and perhaps grilled more with butter. It would have made the experience nicer. It was a smaller roll than I had hoped for $20, but I had so much food that it was minor. What surprised me the most were the crispy COAST shrimp. They were super crispy. They had a bit of spice. The baby arugula balanced out the spiciness. I thoroughly enjoyed how crispy the whisper-thin batter coating each shrimp was. Perfection! I got the COAST fries on the house. The fries tasted so homemade, as if I had cut the fries myself, and someone did a better job at deep-frying them. It had Grana Padano cheese that I had never had. It tasted like parmesan, but milder. I loved it with the spicy aioli and chives. I love chives so much. I normally don't enjoy eating fries as a side, but I could do these any day. I have been good lately by not going overboard with desserts. However, I couldn't resist getting the crème brûlée cheesecake. Sadly, my slice got tossed around a tad in the container, so the pointy part of the slice was smashed. However, I ate it all, even with the whipped cream puddle next to it. I enjoyed this cheesecake slice a lot. It wasn't terribly sweet. The berry coulis on top provided a nice tartness and contrast. The crust was thin. The cheesecake was creamy and you could taste the beautiful crème brûlée flavour in each bite. It's a winner! I am eyeing the PEI lobster poutine, and COAST surf and turf burger next. I had a great experience. Prices do run steep, but it's worth treating yourself to fresh seafood and ingredients. (114)

The service is incredible here, and the vibe is cool-chic. Just loving the atmosphere here…read more As for the food, don't expect it to be a "traditional Izakaya" here, but that's not a bad thing. They do the "traditional" dishes with a twist / fusion. For example, the black cod is usually feel heavy with the miso based sauce, but they added some acidity to the sauce and they made the black cod taste rich and light (not to mention the black cod was perfectly cooked); traditionally the Brussels Sprouts would be finished by tossing balsamic vinegar over it. Sometimes that would still feel heavy. Instead, they tossed it with strawberry vinaigrette. So the acidity is very light and not too sweet. We finished our meal with the Yokai Signature Maki. Yes, they SHOULD be proud of this Maki enough to put their name on it. They hit it on the nail with the taste profile. I have a zero tolerance with spiciness, so they put the spicy mayo on the side, and I encouraged my wife to dip the Maki with it. She confirmed my suspicion that the spicy mayo took the maki to another level. We definitely will come to try other dishes. Edit: they comped us a slice of Matcha Cheesecake. While it is still not my cup of tea, but I was very impressed with how good it taste. My "dislike" is with cheesecakes because they feel heavy. Though it is still on the heavy side for me, but as soon as I spoon in a bit of the strawberry sauce, it just lightened up the whole thing. They have successfully amazed me with how well they play with taste.

Yokai is amazing - nestled in Vaughan we come here for the sliders, tartare and sapporos…read more My only down side is the pricing is quite premium for the food you're getting with small portion sizes. Probably 20% higher than what I personally think the pricing should be. Nevertheless, if I'm in the area I'll be there.
