We used to go to the fraser and 41st one and that one is busy so the chicken is always fresh. We just moved nearby this kingsway burnaby one and I knew it was a bad sign when this location didnt have any cars outside or customers inside. We went around 5pm. Most of the chickens were stale. The thighs were quite big though but had stale batter and meat was not juicy. I would rather drive to a further one.

I went here to have some fried chicken back in July. I felt hot after bit of a walk to get to Church's and, there was a bit of a lineup when I arrived. I wasn't too decisive of getting 3 pcs or order food separately including Coleslaw salad. Staff were already too busy serving customers. I actually loved the freshness of the food when fried chicken and everything else came out. Fried chicken pieces were smaller than I thought. Everything was made fresh. Coleslaw and fries were tasty. Staff didn't give me enough napkins to wipe hands. She said napkins ran out so I felt icky after eating. They better keep enough napkins next time I visit.

Didn't know there was a Church's in the Highgate area. This one is tucked away almost behind a gas station, even though it's technically on Kingsway. Parking is available in the spots in front. The exterior looks seriously dumpy. There's also this raccoon that hangs out in front. According to some of the food delivery drivers in the queue, this little guy is there every night. Something to keep in mind if one is afraid of critters. As the dining room was closed at the time of writing, everything is done through the (non car) takeout window. Staff were friendly. My order got filled pretty quickly. The chicken was fresh and hot and hit the spot.

We come in every now and then for fried chicken. For covid safety measure, there is no more dine in and you need to pick up your order from the outside window. Majority of the staff were wearing face masks except for one staff. The place looks clean overall. Food-wise, the food quality remain the same. The chicken is crispy and decent size. Our fries got a bit soggy from the moisture build inside the box. We ordered the deal that comes with 8 pieces of chicken, large fries and gravy. I really like their honey biscuit but we didn't order it this time.

This a tiny piece of chicken even for my 3 year old.

Average size of the chicken at this location suck! Always go to the Vancouver Kingsway location and the sizes are way better. This a tiny piece of chicken even for my 3 year old. Definitely subpar compared to the Vancouver Kingsway location. And the gravy is so soupy. Again compared to the Vancouver Kingsway location.

Very inflexible staff. I wanted to order this promo item where you can try different types of chicken (e.g. hot wings, tenders, legs, etc) but was told they could not serve that as they had ran out of 1 item. I asked if they could replace that with something else (even a side or something of a lower value) but they said no. They were very rigid in this. In the end I ordered a 3 pc spicy chicken combo which actually cost less than the 2 pc chicken. I could even mix the chicken with spicy and non-spicy versions. So I wondered how this outlet or franchise does its business. Maybe 3 pieces of chicken was overkill but I got so sick from the oiliness that I had to dump the remainder. Such a pity as I generally like the fried chicken from Church's and thought I could have it at least once a month when I stopped by here to pump gas. Great location as it is right by Save On Gas station. It is a bit hidden away from main road though.

watch ur bill -- fraud and scam adding few dollars here and there by crooks without u even know it call ur mp / or city to protect others

That's their 3 pcs chicken meal deal with a few sticks of french fries!

The worst customer service I've ever had. This is not the first time but 3rd time that they kept me waiting for my orders for more than 30 minutes and whenever I follow up my orders they will ask me to wait again for another 5 minutes while the people who behind me got their orders already. No sorry or whatsoever! This time is the worst part when I got my order it only had like 10 sticks of french fries. Can't go back to the store since we're just walking and it's 29 degrees celcius outside today. It's so annoying and really pisses me off how the good customer service has change since the store change their staff and management. Customer service is mess up that's all!

Despite liking Church's Chicken over places like KFC, it's been quite a while since I hit up a Church's. This fried chicken chain from Texas has a long history in the Lower Mainland (their first non-USA location was here). Previously located at the corner of Kingsway and Gilley, this particular store moved a couple of blocks east when the mini mall that they were stationed in was torn down to make way for new condos. Now, it's a bit tucked away next to a gas station and is fairly easy to overlook as it's set back from the street. Despite this, it was fairly busy during my visit so people don't seem to have a problem finding their way here. I came by here during National French Fry Day to grab some of their crinkle cut fries. Given that the previous week was National Fried Chicken Day, it seemed appropriate. Their Spicy Chicken Tenders Meal ($8.95) includes 5 boneless chicken tenders, fries, and a drink (had to add a small gravy too because you really need the gravy to enjoy crinkle cut fries). You can choose between spicy and regular chicken but spicy is really the only way to go here. The chicken tenders were meaty and had a nice batter but I feel like the chicken had been sitting too long and wasn't as good as if it was freshly fried up. Honestly, 5 chicken tenders is a bit much and they could have gotten away with 3-4 tenders at a lower price point. The chicken wasn't overly spicy (I feel like some Church's locations are better than others at this). What I really came here for was the crinkle cut fries and gravy and that did not disappoint. A dash of pepper added to the gravy helped kick it up a notch. While the fried chicken here isn't on the same level as LA Chicken, the crinkle cut fries are great and the chicken far surpasses the likes of KFC.

The regular chicken. Color is so pale.

We ordered a dozen regular and a dozen spicy chicken. I was disappointed because the chicken tasted very bland and it was very pale. I have been a customer for years but this is the first time their chicken tasted bland. Not a happy customer here.

After a full day at work today, doing crazy Ot. I was happy to head Out for a good chicken at Church's Chicken. It was 10:54pm when I was walking to the front door, The vigil let a man come inside and stopped me right away without any polite way to say 'Hello' or 'sorry' but just throwing to my face "Window, we're close!' and closing the door to my face. I have been shocked by his attitude, his way to speak to a potential client. I went to the window and order. The order made and paid it was 10:59pm (for information, officially it's write on the door that the room close at 11pm) After all, I don't mind if they don't want to let client in before 11pm but Sir, you work in Costumer Service! You have to learn how to talk to a Client. To you Mister THE Vigile. If this job is not something you like (Because the way you look and talk to people is showing way more that what you would like!) I would like to advise you to quit this job and to find a job where you could give respect to people like a bulldog does to a bone! (No offense to the bulldog, innocent animal..them) Church's is a place I love to go and I really like what they do, But Mister unqualified Vigile you made my experience to Church's Chicken tonight really unpleasant.

Went to Church's Chicken at their new 24-hour location in Burnaby, at 6591 Kingsway. If you're driving, it's pretty easy to just zoom by because it's recessed from the main street and at a gas station. Watch for the sidewalk banners. Really the only reason I went was the coupons that came in the mail, which included buy-one-get-one for their Spicy Chicken Burger, and a $2 deal on their new Salsa Fries. TIP: Senior's Day on Tuesdays! 20% off select order types. Spicy Thigh Burger ($5.76) -OK for a fast food burger. Looks horrid, of course if you look inside. -Looks like they tried to toast the bun. -Spicy thigh really does have a spicy kick. Not much, but enough to whet your appetite. -Using thigh (dark meat) results in a tenderer, juicier "patty" than if they tried to use white meat. -Use a BOGO coupon if you can. One burger is barely a meal and for similar money, you can probably get a better deal buying their fried chicken. Salsa Fries ($2 with coupon) -Total waste of time to get them "salsa" -- The salsa portion just falls off and it's not like you can really scoop it up with a fry. -Don't count on the cheese to be melted on like in the ad copy. This new location is bright and clean!
