I like that there is a pick and choose chinese bowl shop now to give us even more variety in this city. You can choose one protein, a sauce, and a base with 3 side dishes. I'm not a fan that you need to add money for anything other than white rice. Many places don't do this. Since it was my first time here, I looked through others posts to see what kind of sides there are. I was so surprised that there were only 5 sides to choose from: celery, corn, black fungus, tofu skin strips, and potato strips. There was no lotus root, zucchini, yuchoy. Maybe they switch the sides up every day? Was not a lucky day for me because I prefer the other sides. The meat portion was smaller than expected, but the sides portion was good. Taste-wise, I really liked the spicy dragon sauce and the thick noodles. One thing I didn't like is how oily it got that it seeps through the bowl. They have a really nice take out bag with insulation and all, but it's a bit of a shame to use it as a regular take out bag for all orders.

We loved Dragon Bowl after visiting their downtown Vancouver location, so we were super excited to check out their new Burnaby spot during their Grand Opening promo! Think of a poke bowl concept but with Chinese flavours - and it's amazing! You can choose from four size options (kids, medium, regular, and large), making it perfect for any appetite. How it works: 1- Choose your bowl size (from kids to large). 2- Pick your protein (so many tasty choices!). 3- Select your sauce (for that extra flavour kick!). 4- Choose your base (rice or noodles). Each bowl has three side veggies, making it a balanced, filling meal. It's perfect for grab-and-go, and at under $20, it's a steal for great quality and variety. Dragon Bowl in Burnaby is a must-try if you love quick, delicious, and affordable Chinese bowls! We can't wait to be back for more! Food: 5/5 Must Try! Service: Eatery Kids: 4/5 Yay! Price: $15-$20 Presentation: 2/5 Parking: Street parking Tips: * Specialize in affordable Chinese meals under $20. * Easy to build a bowl and have veggie options. * Pay extra and make it a combo set with egg, soup/bubble tea. * Limited seating inside, so it's best for takeout Would I Return: Yes ‍

I tried the blackened chicken recently. It was not fried. The chicken was very juicy. Another keeper. Get the app as it has good offers. I tend to get the two piece chicken with poutine meal. It was around $12 for that. Good price. I think you can get bonus points on your first purchase on app, but check the T&C and your email. I ordered too quickly after signing up and didn't check my email. Luckily the customer service replied to my email about it and gave me the bonus points. I can't decide which I like best as I think both the fried chicken and chicken sandwich are delicious! Staff are helpful and friendly too. The parking lot can be full at times as A&W and Pizza Pizza share the lot. Street parking is available.

The Metrotown mall location makes this Mcdonalds pretty convenient to go to while shopping around…read more It is also pretty accessible from the Kingsway side and so it's also a fast place to run in, grab something, and go. There are always a lot of people. It is best to just use the phone app to order or you'll be waiting forever, especially if using the counter. That said, getting the food is pretty quick, especially considering the amount of people. There's quite a bit of seating available, but they're usually filled up with people. It takes some time to find an open table. The quality at this location is pretty good. I usually get ice coffee with varied amounts of cream and sugar and this one gets it right most of the time. The staff are pretty nice even when stressed out. Sometimes when there are good Happy Meal toys, I ask them which toy they have, and they're always happy to answer.

The way the metrotown location makes customers…read moreredeem the coupon on the Mcdonald's mobile app is a bit different because the customer has to scan the barcode on their own phone with the little scanner facing the customer. The staff lady at the metrotown location was giving a snarky tone when teaching me how to use the app on my phone. She then sighed when she took my order. She definitely gave strong vibes that she didn't want to be there. Other McDonald's I've been to just lets the customer show the coupon number shown on the app to the cashier which is way easier. I ordered a big mac. I'm pretty sure they added a little too much seasoning because it's more salty than I'm used to. I eat at least 3 or 4 big macs every month so i know how a big mac should taste. It was still edible though because I don't mind a little more salt anyways. It was just not what I'm used to. One positive is that the dining area was very clean because every table was spotless. Staff were diligently wiping tables and cleaning garbage. 3 out of 5 stars based on this visit. But they really should change out the extra salty burgers and cranky cashiers.
