Curtain lowered and outdoor heaters are a must in cooler temperatures.

I'd give it 4.5 stars if Yelp would let me, but it was an overall good experience, so I'll stick with 5. My partner and I dined at the last On The Farm series "Farm Dinner with Friends." The atmosphere and food were wonderful. However, for $125, I hoped for larger portions. It was nice this event was BYOB, but they also offer other dinners with wine pairings (for a higher price). It was a colder night, and we had to ask the staff to turn on the outdoor heat lamps and lower the curtains to keep warm. After that, it felt very comfortable. Unfortunately the seating is less to be desired - very small wooden chairs on gravel and our table had 8 seats that barely fit. But that's farm life, right? You have to walk up a fairly steep hill that's half paved, half gravel. You can be dropped off at the top if you have mobility issues. Also, there's only one bathroom - a modern outhouse - and typically a line to wait since their events cater to 60 people. Overall, a wonderful experience! My most urgent feedback is to offer more food for the price of dinner.

Schneider's Dairy is a family-owned and -operated business that has operated since 1935. Their raw…read moremilk comes from over 40 farms in 13 Western Pennsylvanian counties, and farmers pledge to not use the growth hormone rBST. Schneider's products include milks, iced teas, juices, whipped creams, half and half, fruit drinks, dips, cottage cheeses, ice creams, seasonal products, and even spring water. I bought a bottle of their eggnog. In previous years, I purchased other companies' eggnogs and did not enjoy them. I decided to buy Schneider's eggnog just because Christmas is approaching and I had not drunk eggnog in several years. I figured why not try it. My husband and I actually enjoyed the taste of Schneider's eggnog! The main ingredients were milk, sugar, cream, egg yolks, and nutmeg. I do not know exactly what Schneider's does differently, but I recommend their eggnog. The only thing that I do not like is that the eggnog is very high in fat, saturated fat, cholesterol, and sugar, so my husband and I plan to share only one small container per year.

It's excellent, it's cheap, and it's local. I can't believe anyone in the 'Burgh has ever drank Lipton. If they have, they should be disowned by the black and gold region. Give the Sweet Tea a try, it's on sale in many local stores and gas stations. Absolutely yum. Refreshing. Awful for you but then so is dating me.

I feel so much better supporting a store like this than a big box store whenever possible. They have an enormous selection of pretty much anything you could need. I have bought many of the trees and bushes in my yard here. They have usually been successful, but on the rare occasion one hasn't, they have stood by their warranty and offered a replacement. I had two dogwood trees fare poorly before coming to the conclusion that my location or soil simply wasn't right for that tree and replacing it with a weeping cherry from here, which is absolutely thriving. I also have a Koi pond and get all of my fish supplies here, including very nice water lilies every spring after I do a deep clean of my pond. They have all of the flowers, vegetables and herbs, mulches, soils and gardening tools you might be looking for. I sometimes find prices here to be just a dollar or two more expensive than some other places, but I don't mind when I'm supporting such a nice local store. Always staff available to help, which you just don't get at other places.
