Visiting my daughter and she suggested going here for some authentic Mexican cuisine. We both ordered chimichangas and it was delicious in a crispy roll with moist chunks of chicken smothered in a sauce with sides of refried beans and Spanish rice. The sour cream, lettuce, and tomatoes on the side was small and I should have asked for more. Our waitress was attentive and friendly. The decor was quirky, colorful, and fun with tire hubs on the ceiling and seating and tables in a 1950's theme. I loved it! There's street parking and also garaging with the first 2 hours free. Lots of inside and outside seating. Really enjoyed the food and atmosphere.

Highly recommend going to Chuy's in the day time. Food was fresh, not too crowded and there's a nice outdoor vibe. The frozen strawberry margarita was really good but the Baja shrimp tacos were even better. The server recommended them and they did not disappoint. I forgot the name of this cheesy burrito thing my husband had but he loved it and said that it was very filling.

Late Review, but Better Late Than Never We had dinner at Chuy's on Saturday, September 6th around 6 PM. The restaurant was noticeably louder than usual, likely due to a large number of families with small children dining at the same time--possibly after a nearby event geared toward kids. As a casual dining spot, I didn't have high expectations, but a few things still stood out. The noise level was excessive, and the floors were noticeably dirty, which took away from the experience. That said, we were seated right away, and the complimentary chips and salsa arrived quickly, which was a plus. We ordered Chuy's Chimichanga and Chicken Taquitos. The food was okay--not bad, but not particularly memorable. Being originally from California and having had plenty of authentic and flavorful Hispanic cuisine, I wasn't disappointed since I knew what to expect going in. Overall, Chuy's offers an acceptable dining experience if your expectations are modest. It's definitely not abuela's cooking, but for a casual meal (and especially for the chips and salsa), I might return--just not during peak family hours.

I visited here around 8pm on a Friday evening. I met up with a couple friends who arrived prior to me. When I got there, it wasn't busy and had several open seats. I was promptly greeted and allowed to go find me friends At the table, they had ordered a queso dip, which I ended up being the only one eating it lol. I regretted it later (lactose intolerance). Their cheese dip is yellow and I found white queso doesn't upset my stomach as much as yellow queso. Our waitress was friendly. I got a steak quesadilla and it was really delicious. I got full from the chips, so I only ate half of it and told the other half to go. The food came out in the right amount of time for the occasion. I did get two of their large margaritas with a $1 floater added. It was tasty and enjoyable. One friend got the cherry limeade alcoholic drink and they didn't like it as they said it tasted like medicine, lol. I liked how they have an option for you to pay online, which I did, twice. lol. I only got one drink but ended up getting another, along with one of my friends, after we paid the first time. The drinks are affordable, which is a plus! You can upgrade the liquor, which I did not because it's not that important to me (at any establishment), haha, as my mind will start to calculate cost of drink vs a cost of a bottle from ABC store, lol. I know I can't be the only one, lol. I've been here once before, but only got drinks. It was nice to try food this time. The atmosphere was nice, great for a casual meet up. They have a bar area and outside seating, which is great during warmer weather, which it was not during my visit lol. Parking close by is limited. You'll likely need to park in a lot about a block away, which isn't far. With so many businesses in the area, I'm sure it'll get packed on weekends and during warm weather. I don't live in the area, but I would return again!

Service was stellar! Food was pretty good nothing too crazy. The chicken quesadillas had peppers and onions in it. They were pretty solid and it comes with 4 I believe so I had 2 left over to heat up for lunch the next day which was good. It was nice enough to sit outside so that is good they have that option of outside seating. I think it is an above average Mexican spot.

Great customer service. The food was served in a timely manner and hot. We enjoyed our experience.

If you like food with ZERO seasoning this place is for you! The food was disgusting, the salsa was old? The ingredients were old but the salsa that was made with those ingredients were nasty. The ONLY good thing I can say about this place is customer service, our waitress was amazing! Very attentive and friendly.

Chuys gets my 5 stars because she's like the friend that always has your back. Forgot your lunch that day? Go to Chuys. Celebrating a promotion? Go to Chuys. Having a tough day and need to cry it out over some queso? Go to Chuys. My go to is the quesadilla with ground beef and veggies added into it. It's perfection!!!

I visited the Durham location (which doesn't seem to have a profile on here, but the experience was…read moreso good I still wanted to post). It was MAGNÍFICA The manager, or owner checked on us multiple times and our server was super attentive. The food looked like a dream and was hot, well-seasoned, and all around delicious. We got a 60oz margarita and it was not only huge, but had scrumptious, fresh fruit and was refreshing and strong - idek how you do that! Lastly, the place was so cute! It felt elegant and made us want to take pictures. It was comfortable and overall felt like a top notch experience!

Parking can be a bit difficult in this area depending on what time/day you go. Walking into La Santa the restaurant feels vibrant, energetic, and artistic which blends in with an industrial look and dia de los muertos murals on the walls. To be seated you'll check in with the host at front and then be shown to your table either inside or outside. When you sit down the server will bring complimentary chips and salsa to the table. The salsa and chips were food and not too spicy on the salsa/over salted on the chips. For food I ordered the Grilled Shrimp Tacos (Grilled shrimp, flour tortilla, homemade coleslaw, avocado, dehydrated onions, and homemade Chipotle sauce) and my partner ordered the De Pescado tacos (Mahi mahi fish, creamy sauce, cucumber, pico, mango, avocado, flour tortillas, and white rice). By far I would lean toward the shrimp for the flavor and softness of the meat. The fish was a bit tough to eat. Both taco plates also are served with a side of rice. Btw, on Tuesdays La Santa runs a special on taco plates (excluding the De Arrachera) for 50% off regular price. Highly recommend checking out La Santa if you are in the Glenwood South area. I'll have to try their cocktails next time.

It never came. After waiting, we had to flag down a server walking by, who eventually brought one--only for it to be broken. It then took another 10 minutes before we finally got a functional highchair. Throughout the visit, the staff seemed far more interested in talking amongst themselves than actually paying attention to guests. The overall atmosphere felt disorganized, inattentive, and unprofessional. The worst part came after we left. I realized almost immediately that I had left my wallet behind and called right away. Instead of any sense of urgency or willingness to help, the host who answered was incredibly rude and dismissive. Before I could fully explain the situation, she cut me off and told me to "call back tomorrow." When I tried to quickly describe the wallet--color, contents, anything that might help--she hung up on me mid-sentence. Considering I called almost immediately after leaving and was brushed off so quickly, it raises serious concerns about whether any real effort was made to locate it. I would hope any establishment would take something like that seriously. Between the lack of attention, the disorganization, and the way a simple, time-sensitive situation was handled, this place clearly has serious issues with customer service. I won't be back.

The service was very good with what seemed to be a newer server. She checked in quite often until it was time to bring the check. Had to ask her for that after about a 10 minute wait after she cleaned off the table. Outside of that, very friendly and attentive. The ACP had very thin slices of chicken which was nice, but not as much cheese as you typically see in other restaurants. According to the server, you do have to ask for some flour tortillas on the side if you want them as they don't come by default. The Pollo Tropical had a nice thin layer of chicken breast covered in cheese.... tasty. The margaritas were good and have a smear of taijin on one side of the rim which gives the drink a little spice. Prices are in line with other restaurants in the area. Definitely would recommend it.
