I came here on Aug 19th for lunch with my friends, our server was Jasmine and she was so very sweet, she has a great personality and outstanding customer service. We were looking for some good food and decided on Mexican. I'm so glad we chose this spot. We showed up on a Friday in the early evening, so it wasn't packed at all. We easily found parking right in front. The restaurant had a chill atmosphere. We ordered a few cocktails and got guacamole and chips as an appetizer. We stopped by here for a snack on a beautiful August afternoon. We sat outside under an umbrella and closely placed fans, so it was super comfortable for a NC afternoon. So glad that we were able to come here for a taco during our food marathon. Mexican is one of my top foods and hearing that this place was so highly rated and had so many vegan options. We came during Sunday brunch and they were kind enough to make their regular menu during the normal brunch service. The vegan carnitas is a must get. They were so smoky and flavorful and the vegan chorizo was perfectly spiced and not too greasy. Comparing them to the real thing you could not tell the difference between the two. They were delicious but a little spicier than a 2 to me. Therefore I drank all my water and needed more and my friends still needed water. When a guy brought our food we asked for water and he said okay. I ordered the cheese enchiladas. Not something I would normally order but the description sounded interesting and I was not disappointed! They were not your standard cheese enchiladas. The cheese was firm with a delicious flavor -- hard to describe. Still, our waters never arrived. Eventually our waitress returned and we asked for water for the third time. I found the menu to be fair for what you'd pay for dining out at a downtown restaurant. I wish they did brunch all weekend, but I believe they only do Sunday brunch. Enchiladas were great. This is my favorite Mexican restaurant that I've been to so far in Raleigh! It's not my favorite Mexican restaurant I've ever been to, though. Here is why: 1) I loved the decorations! They had a lot of (plastic) cactuses and string lights. That's really fun! And cute! 2) The wait! I only had to wait about 15 minutes for a table on a Friday night, and that's pretty good. I love restaurants that still give out those buzzers to let you know when your table is ready. 3) the food! I liked the chips. They were really crunchy. But I wish they were free! I also loved the radishes in the guacamole, you can see them in my picture. I also liked my tacos a lot (the meat was really juicy and flavorful). I also got a potato taco and I enjoyed the flavors of the oregano in the taco. The empanadas were not my favorite empanadas, but I'm REALLY hard to please with empanadas.
