Well, every worker was very kind and respectful which I loved. However overtime my permanent retainer on my bottom teeth has caused my jaw to shift which I really do not like. Yes they totally changed my smile (specifically my teeth) which I love, but overtime it has had negative effects because it has messed with my jaw. I wish I could get my jaw fixed by them because they are the reason it shifted. Like I said everyone was really nice and kind, but it would be a 5 star review if I got a true smile that hadn't shifted my jaw overtime. read more

I had an exceptional experience with Brad and the entire staff of Chvatal Orthodontics that I would love to share. If you are considering Invisalign in Eugene, do it here. I am 21, in college, and needed something both professional and "my age" to fix my overcrowded teeth. Some years back I had multiple consultations with other orthodontists around Eugene, all of which either told me Invisalign was not an option for my case, that I would require jaw surgery, or that my treatment would take upwards of 3 years. I was defeated and frustrated. In a final last ditch effort, I scheduled a consultation with Chvatal. Upon first visit they were very welcoming, accommodating, and understanding of my situation. Brad ensured that we would be able to fix my overcrowded mouth in just over a year. Their payment plans were very reasonable (price is higher than others in town, though, but you get your money's worth). I would need to get two bottom teeth removed to fix my underbite, and from there a series of plastic trays would do the rest. Looking back, his timeline was exactly right. My original treatment last 9 months with 40 trays. Even after this first period, my smile and face had completely altered. After another short 4 months and 20 trays, I was sent off completely changed. Brad and his team instilled a new level of confidence in myself I didn't know possible. For that, I'm forever grateful. My case was fairly complex and wouldn't normally be completed so quickly. However, Brad graciously donated an Acceledent system to me, cutting my treatment time in half. He had no reason to do this for me other than out of the kindness of his heart. This is a strong testament of he and his crew's relationship with their patients. (Acceledents run at around $500 -- they are worth the purchase, I highly recommend!) Some things I will say is that this team can't read minds nor can they always know exactly what's going on in your mouth, so I found it was important to communicate about your treatment process. If trays aren't fitting perfectly/your teeth aren't tracking right/there are still gaps where there shouldn't be, say something! You pay a pretty penny for Brad's care but it is certainly worth it if you take advantage of the experience. I don't mean to be so long winded, but I wish I had read something like this while deciding on where to pursue Invisalign and what the process would be like. I have a completely different smile (and face) thanks to Chvatal Orthodontics. It's really worth that free consultation to see for yourself. I'll post before and after photos here later. I just started my Invisalign journey a week ago and I didn't realize how much of a breathing problem I had at night till the first night of wearing them. I wake up every morning with a stuffy noise and just thought it was allergies and didn't do much about it. I came in originally because 20 years ago I had braces and the retainer I had didn't work for me. My teeth eventually started moving again so I thought I would try out Invisalign. My dentist recommended Dr. Chvatal and i decided to give it a try. The staff got me started and were very welcoming. When Dr. Chvatal came in he looked at my teeth and asked me how my sleeping was, I told him it was fine and I left it at that. Couple weeks later I got my Invisalign in and I didn't realize at the time he made the adjustments to help me breathe. The first night and every night after that I woke up with no stuffy nose. When I came in later I asked about it and he explained adjusting my teeth just a little helped with that. Honestly, I was a little nervous about getting Invisalign. At the initial appointment my mind was immediately put at ease when I noticed the video game console in the waiting room. Seriously, it was the coolest thing I had seen in a long time. It brought me back to my childhood, when my brother and I would go down to our local pizza restaurant to play video games... except the console at Chvatal Orthodontics was free! Once the appointment began I was no longer timid. The staff was super friendly and made it easy for me to understand the benefits of getting Invisalign. At the end of the appointment I also walked away with some cool stuff, like a T-Shirt and PopSocket for my cell phone. Chvatal Orthodontics is amazing. I took my daughter there because her mouth was absolutely crazy with issues and I just didn't want other kids to make fun of her. The new patient coordinator could easily stand in for Santa because she is so wonderful with pictures and dealing with a scared kid who thinks mom is out to torture her. The dog Rey and her stuffed duplicate make it much easier for the kids to relax and Rey really is a sweetheart. Let me tell you about the staff...amazing. All of them are great. Dr. Chvatal and his staff are fabulous! My daughter just got her braces put on a few weeks ago and they were very patient on explaining the procedure to her and answering all of her questions. The staff really appears to enjoy working there as well, they are always very friendly to both the patients/parents and each other. Please don't send your kid here. I don't want them to suffer like I did. As part of my orthodontic treatment in my early teens, Dr. Chvatal advised the removal of two perfectly healthy teeth from my head in order to "make room" for the readjustment. At the time I was reluctant but he talked me into it. Now, my dentist has informed me that this caused my bite to be misaligned such that I ground my back teeth constantly. Because of this, they are now ground to the level of a man in his 50s, and I have had to sink thousands of dollars into my mouth to deal with this and still suffer great pain, and I'm in my 20s! Please, don't set your kid on course for a lifetime of dental hell and avoid Chvatal at all costs. read more

My daughter was under the care of Dr. Chvatal since 2013 when she was in 7th grade. Right off the bat, Dr. advised us that because of the way her jaw was set, she would very likely need jaw surgery. He aligned her teeth as best he could, she had upper jaw surgery in August of this year and then we went back to Dr. Chvatal for the finishing touches (braces for a few more months, then a final retainer). Since surgery was not covered by our insurance, we paid for it out of pocket. The cost of the surgery and the braces was worth every single penny. Her smile is beautiful, her face is now symmetrical and she's very happy with the result. This was from start to finish a wonderful experience. I decided to get braces as an adult and I had a consultation at this office. It was horrible. First off the receptionist had a bad attitude. She very rudely demanded to know why I was consulting so many orthodontists as if it wasn't my right to do so. I had seen two others, but I have no idea how she knew this. First off its really none of her business. Honestly it's a big investment of time and money and the quotes I received varied by over $1000, so I wanted a third opinion. The second red flag was the young woman who took the pictures of my teeth. They use a tool to pull your lips back so they can get a good picture. Keep in mind I had already been through this at two other orthodontist offices with no problem, so I knew the drill. This woman seemed to have no idea what she was doing. She pulled so hard on my mouth that it hurt me and I had to tell her to stop. By the time I got to speak with the orthodontist himself I had already decided there was no way I would get my braces here, so I really didn't pay much attention to him, but I do recall that his quote was the most expensive of all being and additional $2000 over my lowest quote. read more
