FINALLY Lexington has a true wine and cheese bar! The wine and charcuterie selections are perfect. They have a retail portion as well as the wine bar. The service is excellent and it's a perfect spot for girls night, date night, or an afternoon out alone. It's located close enough to downtown but still has good parking options as well. This will definitely be a place I come back to often.

Don't hesitate! It's the best wine place in Lexington. We went for the first time and absolutely loved it. The wine, the cheese, all the food and the people were extraordinary.

It's a great place for a drink and bite to eat. Also has many wines and beverages to purchase and the selection of food is top notch.

If you're looking for a butcher shop that both makes all of its own products in-house and always has a variety of products (of which varies from visit to visit), this is your place. They might have pork, lamb, or beef in any sort of cut (rump roast, sirloin steak, "neck slices", filets, bacon, varietal sausages and beef sticks, etc etc etc) and there's no telling what you're going to find here at any certain time. However, since students are making the product, it's usually quite inexpensive and always of good quality. Plus, all the meat is local, which always tastes better I don't care what anyone say. The bad news is that it's hard to find, the hours are extremely limited, and it's first-come-first-serve. Shop at your own risk, or just let me keep this place to myself.

We had reservations but ended up getting there early and just had our dinner at the bar. We both had cocktails which we enjoyed along with the deviled eggs for an appetizer. The eggs were okay--a bit spicier than I would have preferred and I would probably try a different app next time I go (there will be a next time for sure!) My shrimp and grits were great but honestly the bourbon glazed wings that my fiance had were the show stoppers. Large sized wings that were smoked perfectly with the right amount of crunch topped with a sweet but not too sweet bourbon glaze. I will definitely get those next time I go. The vibes were casual and chill--the perfect place to pre-game before a game or event or the perfect place to meet friends for a drink. I'd definitely recommend!

For food, we had a mix at the table: fish, steak, and burgers. The fish was off. The texture was strange, almost like the skin had been left on even though it wasn't, and it had a fishy taste that just wasn't right. The burger, on the other hand, was very good and easily the best value of everything we tried. If I ever go back, that's probably what I'd order. The biggest disappointment was the service. Our server clearly wasn't having a good day, didn't seem interested in us, and let our drinks sit empty long enough that we had to wave him down just to get refills. It really took away from the experience. I'd give the place another shot, but if the next visit ends up feeling like this one, it'll probably fall off my list of places to go.
