No waiting in queues for the car. Simply pick up and go. Then drop off and take your flight. I hear the cost is pretty cheap with Cicar. I paid a bit more cause I wanted an automatic. That's normal in EU countries. One thing I did like, is that there was no extra cost for insurace. they give an advertised price... and that's what it is. No extra cost at the counter. I will certainly use them again.

I recommend booking via their online reservation system in advance of your visit, well worth it to get a decent rate, guarantee the vehicle of your choice will be waiting for you at the airport, and this will take the stress out of it. Of course, you can also book at any time for the day or more at any of their many offices throughout the island. They operate on an 'as found' policy for petro which means the tank is usually empty but theres a petrol station just outside the airport on the main Yaiza road to Puerto del carmen and playa blanca.
