Honestly, worst customer service from these people. I call to try to work with them to resolve an issue and all I get is distain. When I asked to discuss my balance, I was literally given a rude, "What... What are we even doing with this?" I have a check to pay off my policy balance so I don't go overdue for the next few months. But this isn't allowed, people can't just pay. The woman on the phone argued with me over account types and how they WANT me to pay instead of how I actually can. And then I ask for help regarding my schedule - I work in Phoenix, and an literally not in Mesa at all during their business hours. And this isn't a personal check, so I can't write my info on it. Can I send someone in with the check? No. Can I send them with my bill and the check? No. Can I send them with the check, my bill, a signed statement giving them permission to give you the check, and I'll even call in at that time to say this is the check and describe the person and their clothes and everything? No. Can an exception be made for me to make the payment on Friday even though the payment is due Thursday because I'm calling ahead and explaining the issue and Friday is the only time I, personally, can make it in to the office because I don't have time to take off my job??? No. This coming from the office of the agent who discussed my sister's private account and property information with our mother, even though our mother was not on the account and she had no legal right to do so. A privacy violation we could have sued for. In retrospect, I'm convinced we should have sued. The woman seemed to be tired of talking with me at this point, saying, "I don't know what to tell you." No accommodations, no help, no kindness. I'll get in trouble at work, but they don't care. Their website claims that evening appointments are possible, but apparently that's a lie, those are only for new suckers - I mean customers so they can spend time trying to upsell on flattery and new money face to face. I'll go in, be late to work, give them my check, and when my policy is up, I'll be going to Geico or Amica or maybe some other State Farm agent - ANYWHERE but here. I'm sick and tired of this absurdity and sheer rudeness to their long-standing customers who have never before had any problems with them. So long and thanks for all the fish. UPDATE: Wrote this review yesterday, last night - after hours - I got a voicemail from another rep (Andrea), wanting to know what she could do to help. Odd, considering the woman on the phone earlier (Melissa) made it clear their hours were set andAnd this morning when I went in the make my payment, they didn't even ask for ID, and there was no hassle at all in making the payment. So apparently things were not nearly as severance as Melissa made it seem yesterday. This is all appreciated... But is too little too late. And, frankly, this makes Melissa's attitude and disinterest towards me even worse - it means she was lying about account types, how the check could be handled, and what accommodations could be made for my schedule. Or she didn't know what she was doing and didn't want to ask with a supervisor. And I don't know about you, but an insurance company with representatives who lie (or maybe just don't know what they're doing) is not one I care to deal with. FULL DISCLOSURE: I am only a client. I do not know any of the agents on a personal level nor am I being compensated to write this review... I have read all the reviews dated before 8-23-18, and I have known both Andrea and Cie Taylor for twenty years now. When I say I know them, I should clarify I only know them professionally (I have SF Insurance through this agent) not on a let's have dinner and drinks together level. Having said that, I am honestly quite stunned at the negative reviews. In twenty years, I have not had a single instance where the customer service was less than very good to excellent. TRUST ME, I am not easy to please. In fact, I hired Cie Taylor because another SF agent was a total &%$# to work with and a liar. There is one review here that I take issue with. If Andrea called to help after hours to help resolve an issue, then I think the one-star rating should be upgraded even if only by one star. That's MY opinion. People make mistakes, I have made MANY, but I judge people/companies by how they handle or resolve them. An after hours phone call with the purpose of trying to fix the mistake goes a long way in my book. Lastly, when deciding to hire or not hire Cie Taylor, I would consider all the people out there she has sold policies to and are satisfied. Yelp is a microcosm. Even my review (which is outstandingly accurate btw) should be considered as just one person. If you are deciding to get insurance with SF, then I highly recommend Cie Taylor. Ask questions. See as I have, how friendly they really are. I've been a client of Andrea's for over a decade and I've never even considered changing agents or insurance companies. She's always professional, personable, and is quick to assist me anytime I need anything. (That includes answering any stupid questions I throw at her.) Andrea never makes me feel like a client. Speaking to her is always like talking to an old friend on the phone, and just so we're clear, I only know her as a client. We were with this agent for over 3 years. The person that was handling their auto insurance was fantastic but left to take care of family in a different state. Donna took over for the vacancy and their customer service plummeted. I would ask her a question and usually here's the response I would get "I don't know. I'll check and get back to you." Or this is your business then why don't you know? I can understand if it happens once in a while, but it was just about every phone call. Clearly this person is not the right fit for the position. Terrible office my family and I were clients here for 30 years, Andrea used to be great but took a complete turn for the worse, won't answer calls or emails. Plus they are complete crooks, my father has been paying on a life insurance policy since 1997 and he is very sick and state farm cancelled his life insurance policy! BEWARE of this office. My insurance lapsed, due to income issues. I then called up Jun 24th to find out how much it would cost to reinstate, and was told a rather small amount. I confirmed with Angie that it was all I needed to pay to reinstate my insurance. So we made the payment over the phone. I then said, so my insurance is now reinstated right? And she confirmed that it was indeed reinstated. I received a call today from the main agent, and she ADMITTED that Angie was wrong, I wasn't covered (they had given me 'courtesy' coverage, which I wasn't advised about during that call) and that they COULDN'T cover my home anymore. AND they refused to refund the money paid under false pretenses!! This has already been disputed with the bank, and charges are going to be filed with the states attorney, the BBB and the state insurance agency!! I can't even comprehend the level of horrible customer service AND then refusing to refund the money charged UNDER FALSE PRETENSES!! BE WARNED...DO NOT DEAL WITH THIS AGENCY!!! read more

If you are looking for an agent that treats you like those adorable commercials on television then you have come to the wrong place. I have had a few claims processed through them and their general attitude is "laissez faire" and you will end up doing all the leg work yourself. I have been with State Farm for nearly 20 yrs. Although the company as a whole is good, my local agent, Cie Taylor is very unsatisfactory. So much so that I switched agents recently. I was usually unable to speak to her when I called, having my questions redirected to a subordinate who usually could not answer my questions. On the rare occasions when Cie did return my call, I found her aloof, dismissive and arrogant. There are too many other State Farm agents in the area to tolerate this kind of treatment. My husband and I moved from Florida to Mesa and we had a lot of trouble with getting our accounts transferred. The only person willing to put in the effort to make things right was Melissa. She dealt with both my husband and I in person and through numerous phone calls. Every time she did not have an answer for us, she called us back in a reasonable time frame, even if the update was she was still working on it. Really grateful to work with a reliable and honest employee who shows us that she cares about us. I am giving this agent two stars because I have been one of their customers for almost 13 years and they were good up until recently. My husband and I recently bought a house and before we signed papers we shopped around for home owners insurance. Well we decided not to go with State Farm because my father who also uses the same agent had advised me against their policy for it was over priced and that we couldn't have a claim within the first 12 months or else they would drop us. Well I chose another company and when we were moving out of our apartment I called to cancel my renters/jewlery policy the rep on the phone was very rude because I "didn't give them a chance." I ended up giving this rep all the information regarding our home so she could give me a quote but I never heard back from her. Hi, DO Not go with State Farm. I have not only been denied home owners coverage once but now twice with State Farm. My house is now completely torn apart. I noticed a bubble in my bathroom ceiling this past Sunday and called america home sheild. They sent a plumber out loyalty plumbing who referred me to Echo Dry because of the water damage. Echo dry found so much water damage due to my tub leaking. Robert the inpspector was not only rude while he was inspecting and didn't speak much said that it was denied because my sub flooring was Rotted And it was not covered. He didn't even get down and dirty to see anything he just observed what he could see. I don't even have enough space here to talk about the first claim they denied but would be happy to talk to someone. Now I'm left with one bathroom for a family of 5 instead of 3. My middle daughters room has a gaping hole and can not sleep. I just don't have any words to express my disappointment.
