The store was clean, smelled nice, and organized was the first thing I saw when we walked in. We saw lots of things we wanted. What we walked out with was a concha coin purse my wife need a new purse and it was perfect for her and a new guayabera for me. The price was good not expensive. She loves it when I wear them Also shows support for the Mexican family I married into like she does for me especially at this time. No refund, rude employees, sent wrong dress! I ordered a yellow dress and they didn't have it in stock. So they sent me a green dress and I have tried several times to get them to let me return it and to refund my money but they won't. They sent me a note with the green dress and asked me to call them if I wanted to exchange it and when I did they hung up on me. I've tried dealing with them directly, asking for a return label, but nothing. They're rude and total unprofessional. DO NOT BUY FROM THEM! Read the other reviews on here of similar experiences. I absolutely love Mexican Embroidery and this is my go to place in McAllen. Yes, it's pricey, but quality is worth it. Now, could the customer service improve a bit? Sure! It is annoying to go in there and not even be greeted and then walk aimlessly around, but then again, you are not being followed around by a salesperson. I have only ever purchased in store so I cannot attest to their other services. I REALLY appreciate that they carry plus sizes in their clothing as Mexican sizing is SMALL to begin with (think Chinese sizing) but they have a very good selection for the most part. Their gifts selection is also unique and affordable. Give the store a chance, get something beautifully embroidered and get the man in your life a gift from there as well. We walked in a couple of days ago the girls working were so so funny , helped us out great ! What did concern us was their boss on the phone cussing them out and being very rude towards them . We tried to look around for the human resource poster all business should have and they didn't have any , I don't think the girls are aware that they shouldn't be treated like that... read more

Update: After my bad review I still did not receive a call or email just a text saying I was refunded. Nothing has been refunded and no one has called to even get my bank info. I dont even have the same card I did back in January 3 months ago! Placed an order back in January and Never got anything or a phone call. They just took my money. Very disappointed! read more

I originally posted about no refund on items ordered. I tried contacting the business again after my initial attempts did not get through and I had success. I just suggest, that even if it's a small business overwhelmed with orders, just tell people it will be a wait and find a way to contact them and not vice versa. I'm glad that they sell lovely Mexican items. read more

Love love looovee all the colors and variety!! Even before walking in you can see the beautiful Mexican aesthetic Cielito Lindo proudly shows off. From the dresses, shoes, and the stylish face masks for the unexpected pandemic, this vibrant boutique is a river of hues you must see at least once. I wouldn't be surprised if I see this wonderful place grow into a tourist spot for the curious shopper looking to explore Latino culture. I was originally going to leave 4-Stars on this review but after getting to know Lorena and Paola, the owner and her niece, I began to realize how hard this family duo works to maintain the store. I was the first customer of the day. 6/5/21. Non existent customer service appears to be the special. I walked into the store and greeted the salesperson, I thought that she didn't hear me so I blew it off. I asked where the guyaberas were and she pointed to the corner as if I was supposed to know that. No one else was in the store but us and she didn't even offer her assistance. After a few minutes she came over and asked me a question but she spoke so quickly that I didn't understand her and the continued to look at me as if I was stupid for not understanding her. I then asked if they had some guayaberas with blue stitching and she said this is what we have, I know what we have in stock. She didn't even bother to look. Needless to say we walked out without buying anything. I'm giving 1 star because I couldn't post otherwise. Note to the owner, get employees who actually care about their job and place of employment. read more
