I've been here a few times and the service is great, prices are great, and the food is alright. I ordered the lunch special #10. This comes with a chicken quesadilla, chicken flauta (or maybe it was a chalupa?) and a beef taco with lettuce, tomato, guac and sour cream. The taco and flauta thing were great but the quesadilla was a little soggy. The tortilla itself was soggy and then the quesadilla was very drippy, probably from the chicken I assume. The grated cheese they use is very soft, it reminds me of American cheese, which isn't my favorite. Chips are good, salsa is good, and I only paid like $6 with tax for my meal. read more

We were just running errands in Springfield and hadn't been before or at least not in a long time we were trying to get something to eat to fill us up, we run into this restaurant and although the parking lot was clear we still went inside and I'm so happy we did the staff was super friendly I had my child with me and they were very considerate of the fact we had a child with us, the food was delicious, a wide variety of choices I got the shrimp tacos which were a lot smaller than I expected but it was all delicious their horchata was amazing most delicious I had ever tasted, bathrooms were clean no changing station but they had a potted seat for changing. Bland and barely passable. But not actively bad. The queso was bland. The jalapeños weren't spicy. The salsa was practically ketchup. The fajita meat was mostly just grilled, not seasoned. The rice and beans were bland as well. Even the margarita had little flavor and less alcohol. I'm from a place with excellent Tex-Mex and I love *spicy* food, so maybe I'm biased. I'd give it 2 stars. It got one more because the wife and kids liked it. (Though even my 10 y.o daughter said the salsa had no spice. LOL) read more

So I come here for one main reason : Chili Rellenos - no batter - no frying. For those trying to avoid gluten and/or grease, this is s real find! Most of their sauces and their chips are gluten free. They can accommodate your allergies! They also use the white American cheese for sauce. Small quiet place with good hot food and service. I had the 4 enchilada plate with rice and beans. Cheese dip with my chips and salsa.

My husband and I went there last night and decided to grab a bit to eat while we were waiting for our movie. We stumbled across and thought we'd give it a try. He ordered a fajita quesadilla. I ordered a beef taco salad. The best word to sum it up? Gross. My salad was a wet soppy bowl of refried beans and dog food. It smelled horrible. His quesadilla looked like an over stuffed taco that also turned into a big wet soppy mess. The salsa sucked. We waited a long time for our food and it was horrible. No flavor and you needed a shake straw to eat it. Don't waste your time or money. read more

They have the BEST fajitas and accommodate our food allergies (one gluten/ one dairy) without batting an eye and always are on point. Making the rounds of Mexican places in Springfield and decided to give this a try. Turn around and go someplace else. The food is terrible. Cheese enchiladas were abysmal, undercooked, the cheese not melted inside. The hard taco shell was from the grocery store and the meat rivaled Taco Bell for freshness. Margarita tasted like a mix. Vegetarian menu, rice and beans are meat free, staff has always been friendly with the occasional language barrier misunderstanding. Very slow service at dinner time 6:30 p.m., bottle of Tecate did not come until 30 minutes after we were there, and fajitas 15 minutes later, and it was not very crowded. Fajitas only 5/10 and carne asada tacos 3/10. Older staff women quite brusk and unfriendly. read more

This is my go-to place for cheap Mexican food. I'm not sure how "authentic" it is, but having grown up with a Texan mother I know tasty Tex-Mex at least, and this is it. My favorites are the chimichangas, fajitas, and quesadillas tipicas, and they also have very good margaritas. The only downside is the cilantro in the salsa, which tastes like soap to me, but this is pretty typical of Mexican restaurants and I haven't found the devil weed in the rest of my food. Typical American Mexican restaurant atmosphere with mariachi music on the speakers, Corona signs, futbol on the televisions, and cheesy decor. But good, low-priced food and beverages and decent, fast service. read more

My mom and I go here any time we want Mexican food, and we always get the fajitas. I suggest the chicken and beef fajitas, as they are absolutely the bomb. The beef marinade gives it the best flavor. Hands down best fajitas in town. Wait staff is always very polite, efficient, and deserving of a good tip. Prices are also reasonable. read more

I ordered mixed fajitas and enchiladas rancheros for carry out. They were in my opinion the very worst mexican food that I have ever had. The fajitas had no fajita flavor at all and instead tasted like boiled greasy watery meat with a few green peppers. The enchiladas were of the same lack of quality. The meat had no enchilada flavor or sauce. I am usual;ly not picky but these were terrible and I could not make myself eat them. I returned to the restaurant and asked for my money to be refunded so that i might buy some supper that i could actually enjoy eating but when I returned with most of my food I was refused a refund. I was told that they had no cash even though I had paid in cash less than 20 minutes before. They said they could not refund the enchiladas because I had eaten some of them and even took a picture to show how much I had eaten.I have eaten at Cielito Lindo for years but the quality has steadily gone down hill and this refusal to refund a truly horrible offering is the final attempt of mine to support a local restaurant. I will never go there again and you shouldn't either. read more
