From Kate, who answers the phones (among other things), to the crew that supports take off and landing--everyone was so nice and approachable. In addition, our pilot Joe was so knowledgeable and experienced - he made our flight so warm and welcoming! This company is newer to Temecula but their pilots are just as experienced as any other company in the area. You meet at a winery (we got there at 5:30am), head to another winery to use the restrooms, and then head to the take off location. You get to experience watching the balloons being inflated and then climb aboard! We went in December so I would recommend dressing warm (it was 40s in the morning) and cute (for pictures)! First time ever flying on a hot air balloon and the staff Ben, Pete, and Dave made the experience unforgettable and we will definitely be coming back! I loved this experience especially sharing it with my four year old who was fearless during the whole ride! We definitely recommend the sunrise flight since the views are beautiful! Highly recommend. I recently surprised my girlfriend with a balloon ride for her birthday, and the experience with Cielo was nothing short of stellar! Neither of us had ever gone up in a hot air balloon before, and my gal was a bit nervous going into it. Her jitteriness soon dissipated, in no small part to the easygoing and clearly competent staff, especially our pilot Erich. His expansive knowledge of local landmarks and their history added a lot to the voyage, and his many anecdotes from years of ballooning had us cracking up. We also learned that Erich has been a lifelong aviation pilot by profession, and I felt 110% in good hands the entire time. After the ride while the crew was hustling to secure and put away the balloon, etc, Erich provided pastries and mimosas and regaled us with balloon tales from history. Great end to the journey!
