These guys are awesome! My wife and I had so much fun from beginning to end! Our pilots definitely have a love for what they do and all things aviation (both were fixed wing pilots as well). We went to 5,000+ ft because we had skydivers aboard that provided us some excellent entertainment and after they jumped we were delighted to learn about the history of ballooning and enjoyed a Champagne toast and the gentlest landing ever. An incredible experience that is definitely worth the 5:15am start time. We had the chance to watch them begin to inflate the hot air balloon before we got into the basket. There were four compartments in the basket for guests and we were able to have our own section so it felt very spacious. It was a very smooth ride and there were also a couple of skydivers with us. The staff were extremely friendly and shared fun stories with us while we were in the air. To start off this trip we waiting in a shopping center parking lot then they loaded us in a dirty 17 passenger work van (it looks like it is used to transport construction equipment. We get driven to a neighbor hood of mobile homes in Perris where the ballon had landed from the last flight. We take off and we are flying very low above people's back yards. The sound of the flame was loud enough to make people come out of their houses. That was the entire flight, people's back yards not in the best neighbor hood. When we landed we hit a tree where my wife and I (along with others)were hit by branches. We landed in a field next to a nice neighbor that had a bike trail where the pick up van had to drive on. Then the owner / operator drove us to the parking lot asking "us" the customers for directions. It was very strange and unorganized, I didn't expect this experience. read more

back in April of 2025 I purchased a ticket for my wife's birthday I arrived on time 545 am with extra time before departing and within 10 -15 minutes until then it was everything good then a personnel comes out of a truck saying it was canceled due to weather, now my birthday present was ruined they offer another day not a refund well I only wanted that specific day not any other day they choose to give me for a week before purchasing she made it sound wonderful and all I bought and was screwed to this day i never got refund or a call about this one thing I learned buy the day of the event not in advance and in person, then to top it off I receive a customer satisfaction review of my experience lol horrible experience of course read more

My girlfriend and I visited Skyline for our anniversary and absolutely loved it. It was so much better than we were anticipating so worth waking up at 4 in the morning to make the drive. We got there before the sun came up, picked up in a van from a meeting location, and brought to the balloon. When we got there the whole team was already there preparing the balloon for flight. We were given some champagne, opportunities to take photos, and were shown how the balloon fills up with the hot air, very cool. Our flight I believe was a little over an hours, maybe closer to an hour and a half. Our pilot was amazing, with a lot of knowledge and a real passion for flying. Maybe the coolest part was being on a balloon with skydivers. People jumping out of hot air balloons was never a thought that had crossed my mind, but now I know it's an adrenaline junkies dream. Not the experience I expected. I purchased a Sunrise Hot Air Balloon Experience, breakfasts at the Bombshelter and champagne toast for 2. I was hoping to see picturesque mountain views, lush wineries and a birds eye view of Perris and Temecula. Instead our group got a sunrise view from the van that picked us up at 5:30 AM. We were notified that a group was going ahead of us to go skydiving after we checked in at 5:30. We were advised having a group ahead of us should only take a 30 min delay from our original take off time. The 1st group got up really high, they need to be a certain altitude to jump off and sky dive. It took longer than 30 mins for the set-up, take off and for us to locate where the balloon landed so we can start our experience. By the time we started our ride it was already 8:00 AM. We took off from an open field at Perris where our balloon was just hovering and was on and off the ground full of trash. Our group asked our pilot Doug if we are ever going to take off / go higher and he said we could not because of high winds, it was already too late to go high up, if we did we might end up in Orange County. Then why did we not take off our scheduled time? Why did they double book? Why not reschedule our ride so we get a good experience? Why did they ask us to come so early, just for us to sit around and wait until the 1st group got done? Everyone in our group felt we were robbed. If we hovered and bounced around a field in Perris but was able to go on the time we were originally scheduled to go, it would've been fine. If we waited 3 1/2 hours in the van but had the same experience as the 1st group, it would've been ok. We also hiked steep hills just for us to get picked up by the van. Our time and morning was wasted. I am glad we have a great group of people who were not afraid to speak their mind and let the crew know how we feel. The crew was nice, they made an effort hanging a birthday banner and took great pictures. I know the wind is not their fault, but scheduling 2 trips when they know the wind can be unpredictable after a certain time was not cool. Dave saying we get what we paid for was a little upsetting, yes I used a Groupon to buy the deal, but how would I know about the deal if not for Groupon? Even though I used Groupon I still paid a lot of money for the experience. I hope this review help everyone thinking about going. read more

We had a fun time during our trip and the crew was great. But I paid 140 extra for our own compartment for my boyfriend's birthday. We did not get our own compartment on the way up & skydivers joined us. They jumped out and we got our own compartment on the way down but it's the purpose that no one on the crew asked and when I brought this up asking for a refund they refused and gave me only 50 dollars back of the 140. Do not buy your own compartment because you're basically paying for a third person with still being squished. The face I felt my money was taken and I wasn't heard ruined my experience. read more

Please note that they don't have the option to pre-select date through Groupon. Visit site and call number listed and talk to Dee. There may be an extra fee associated with reservation date. Suggestion: take a good camera, warm jacket and pants trust me it gets chili in the morning! There are about 13-14 people in basket. The basket is divided into 4 little baskets inside, holding about 3-4 people. One big basket in middle for the navigator and tank. FYI, it gets pretty warm with the heat from balloon i could feel it in my neck. We received two coupons which was nice! We will save these for next time. My boyfriend surprised me with this experience for my bday! We already went skydiving and I was dying to try the hot air balloon. We got picked up on time, then we got to the place where they were preparing the ballon, the whole crew was really nice and helpful about the experience. They were encouraging everyone to take pictures and videos. We loved the view, it was a breathtaking experience and I will never forget. Of course you got to sign the waiver about risking your life. Everything seemed really good until the time we were landing, everything happened SO QUICK, I heard the gentleman directing the ballon say "get on your knees, get on your knees" little did I know, there we go with the most strongest hit ever, yes we hit a giant rock and no once but twice. I knew this was a risk we were willing to take, and I'm fully aware the company has no responsibility at all. FAN-TAS-TIC! My boyfriend surprised me with a hot air balloon flight for my 24th birthday and it was absolutely phenomenal. Upon arrival to the air craft, the crew and captain greeted us with warm smiles on a chilly October morning. They were all so excited to get us hyped for the trip and even offered to take as many pictures as your little heart desired (Girls, they'll get you your instagram pic). Once in the air, the captain graciously treated us with some fine bubbly and offered breakfast vouchers for after the flight. The ride was about an hour long -- a ride definitely worth your buck. I was having such a jolly time, I miss placed my glasses and after contacting my crew, they made it their mission to find and return my glasses. I got rebooked a dozen times and cancelled I payed $500 and never got in the balloon or anything it was a waste of time this company does not do refunds even if they can't get you in the air due to weather for over 4 months... I just took it as a loss I booked for my birthday in July ... had a terrible experience riding in a dirty van one of the other passengers had to pee outside of the van we never went up. It was a date for me and my now ex gf because it has literally been 4 months 3 reschedules and so I just gave up and now I'm single .. lol I'm sure if I contacted them they wold let me sign up for the ride lol but at this point I don't even care anymore worst expensive I never had choose a better company that will accommodate you in a situation like this. read more

To start off, I did this awesome adventure July 2016. I won a pair of these tickets in February 2016 while participating in a silent auction. All proceeds were to benefit a fire fighter's family. As the recipient of this prize I was ecstatic to have hubby join me on marking an item off of my bucket list- but, he politely declined my offer. Womp womp. But, it worked out & I was able to invite my friend's mom! So, I noticed when I received my tickets- each ticket had a value worth $250! Yikes! I did pay close to that amount for the pair. And while we were on our balloon ride- one gal said she found a Groupon deal for a pair of tickets for less than $200, I believe. Anywho. I immediately called the phone number listed on the tickets & spoke w/ Skeeter (the owner of the company). I chose the July date because I figured there wouldn't be any issues w/ rain & there'd be better weather conditions in summer. Keep in mind, flight reservations can change due to weather. Skeeter (as well as company policy) will contact their passengers 3 days ahead of time to confirm the flight. Although there is no specific address on Yelp for the Miramar location- guests will receive an email w/ instructions prior to the flight date & with signatures of waiver. The actual flight is taken in Temecula. There were supposed to be actual skydivers joining us on our flight- but, the wind conditions that morning wouldn't allow it. So, if you do book w/ Skyline Balloons- inquire about this option! How cool would it be to see skydivers leap off of your balloon! We had the sunrise flight which made for breathtaking views all around us. There is a porta potty at the check in dirt field. But, don't fret- this dirt fired is adjacent to Skydive Elsinore/ Temecula & there are actual brick & mortar bathrooms! lol Staff was awesome. Coffee & donuts are provided pre flight! I helped myself to a fresh donut. But, skipped on coffee because I didn't actually know how long our flight was & didn't wanna stress on holding in my pee. Keep in mind- guests are advised to arrive by 4:30am. Photo opps are allowed while crews begin filling up the balloon with air. You're even allowed to stand inside of it too! I thought I was gonna feel nauseous during the flight. But, I didn't. As you ascend higher & higher- there's this overwhelming calm floating around. I could hear dogs barking so loud- but, the further we went- their bark grew more distant. You can feel the intense heat from the flames- and it felt so good. But, the absolute silence you feel in the sky- and just being suspended in mid air felt eerie- yet, like nothing I can ever compare this experience with. Our guide was even in touch w/ air traffic control from March AFB! The views of Lake Elssinore, Diamond Lake and surrounding hills was beautiful. Touch down is brought w/ a celebration of champagne! What can I say? It was a very cool experience to say the least. Dee was always easy to get in touch with, easy to work with, funny, friendly, etc. We got a very early start, check in's started at 5:10. Then caravan down the street where we watched them blow up the balloons, quite an experience in itself. Then we loaded up the baskets with a couple of skydivers, and off we went. The skydivers jumping from our basket was by far the coolest thing. Then we coasted around for a while, enjoying the beautiful scenery. At the end, a little champagne and lots of great memories. All I can say is false advertising! They make sound like a 3 hour ballon ride with champagne. 1st they filled the ballon up with too many people so it was hard to move around and see below. They never served or even offered champagne. The whole ride was about 30 minutes. The free breakfast was a $7.50 voucher for the local diner, which would not cover any of the meals there. I do. The weather was unfortunately a little uncooperative because we had to wait for the skies to clear up from the June gloom but when we finally did have good conditions, we went about two miles through another field in the Perris area and landed fairly smoothly. Bought a Groupon for a good deal, the representative said they don't have any Groupon availability for 3 months! He said I have to get a regular ticket for much more $$$. Why have a Groupon deal if you can't honor it for 3 months away? So I bought two regular tickets. Flight took us up for 5 minutes and then back down to hover over dirt fields for 30 minutes. Took them another 30 minutes to land and pack away the balloon. Overall a huge waste of time. I was hoping to be high up in the air for the majority of the time but 90% of the ride we were no more than 100m off the ground. Unbelievable, feeling scammed. read more
